Avatar m tn There is two different brands that say they have the same effect as Latisse but they cost much less than Latisse. They are Lumigan, and Bimatoprost. My question is do they actually have the same effect like Latisse? what is the diffrence??
Avatar n tn Excerpt from DoubleCheckMD - Latisse (bimatoprost topical ophthalmic)... "Latisse may cause color change in the sclera (tough, outer covering of the eye). Concurrent administration of bimatoprost topical ophthalmic solution (LATISSE) and IOP-lowering prostaglandin analogs in ocular hypertensive patients may decrease the IOP-lowering effect. Patients using these products concomitantly should be closely monitored for changes to their intraocular pressure.
Avatar n tn It is not a sign of ocular rosacea, Latisse in its drop from is used to treat glaucoma. Itching and redness are its side effects. Dr. O.
Avatar f tn I have optimalized my condition but so far I still have little eyebrows left.
Avatar f tn ve been using Latisse now for about 3 months and have really nice, long, lush lashes, aside from the patch that fell out. I have no idea how it happened, except maybe I was rubbing too hard to remove my makeup. I've continued using Latisse every night since and have seen no growth whatsoever in the lash "blad spot". I don't even see the follicles where the hair should be coming from. I've had to wear eyeliner constantly because it's extremely noticeable.
757137 tn?1347196453 Has anyone on this forum used Latisse to grow longer, thicker eyelashes? One of my daughters wants to use it, but doesn't know if it is effective, or whether it can harm the eyes. Your personal experiences using this product would be very much appreciated.
Avatar n tn Hi Emsed. I posted a similar thread in the Derm Community under "Eyelashes-fell-out-and-not-growing-back-w-Latisse". I had a clump of mine just fall out for no apparant reason (the curling iron might've been the culprit, but I'd been curling my lashes for almost 12 years so it's doubtful). I'd also been using Latisse for years (under Revitalash when it wasn'y yet FDA approved and the product was available), so my lashes were always super long and lush.
Avatar f tn several months ago, I started using latisse. I liked the way my eyelashes looked, but around the 4th month, i noticed my eyes started feeling funny, so i stopped using the lattisse altogether. it's been a couple months since I stopped using latisse, but i noticed about 3 weeks ago that I have persistent problems focusing, and I feel slight headache and nausea. last saturday, I went to an optometrist and was told my prescription was too strong (-4.75 r, -4.5 left originally).
Avatar f tn I took lots of Meclizine in the past for motion sickness and insomia and I also used Latisse for the eyelash growth. Last use on Meclizine is about 4 weeks ago. Last use on Latisse is a few months ago. Can these two cause this kind of dryness on my eyes? 3 dizziness attacks I had one time started with a glaze on the sun when I stepped out of a room. The last two happened when I diced onion and the onion made me cry. Is the dry eye causing my dizziness and what can I do? Thank you.
Avatar m tn what is latisse used for? has any one heard of it? i know its for eyes but what does it do?
Avatar m tn Lumigan (marketed for eyelashes as Latisse) has only been studied for eyelash growth and about 70% of people do develop longer thicker eyelashes. To my knowledge it has not been studied for scalp or eyebrow growth.
Avatar n tn One of the drops in this family of glaucoma medicines (Lumigan) is sold in a different form (Latisse) by plastic surgeons and dermatologists for eye lash growth.
Avatar n tn There is also a medication, Latisse that you can apply like eyeliner which helps eyelashes grow. You need to seek the care of an eyeMD and get examined to determine if this would be all right for you to use. Dr. Feldman Sandy T. Feldman, M.D., M.S.
Avatar f tn A medication which can be prescribed, called Latisse may help to increase the number and length of the eyelashes. You should seek care of an eyeMD to determine whether there is a reason such as an eyelid infection contributing to your pulling of lashes. Dr. Feldman Sandy T. Feldman, M.D., M.S.
1749655 tn?1321800934 if u have serious condition such as this even better idea. oddly the meds to grow eyelashes like latisse are for glaucoma. the tx for hcv also does this i think the riba ...not sure if this has any connection but do get a check up.
Avatar n tn I was put on Metoprolol in April 2012 b/c of MAT. By mid-July, I was shedding massive amounts of hair and losing lashes and thinning brows. MD agreed that it was b/c of the beta blocker, so I was weaned from it by Aug.31. I was told the hair shedding would continue for up to a year b/c of TE. Well, by last fall (2013), the shedding hadn't stopped, so I was put through a battery of blood tests in September.
Avatar m tn Dear Doctor It was not latisse that I used, and I don't have the dry eyes problem any more it's eyelids swelling.
Avatar f tn with a dermotolgist so that i can go on latisse treatment I do not know how that will work !?! Will they grow back ? How long will it take? ( with out the product of anykind)? do they naturally grow back?? please someone help . This discussion is related to eyelash regrowth.
634733 tn?1316625992 I can't think of anything to add to what the others have suggested regarding the possible cause of your thinning eyebrows. In terms of a cosmetic solution, perhaps you might inquire about whether Latisse could help? This is a prescription med approved to stimulate growth of eyelashes. I've read that it's not FDA approved for brows though it wouldn't harm them, but also apparently brow hair is more difficult to re-grow than lashes.
1775444 tn?1319258310 There is no way to deal with this properly without seeing an ophthalmologist. Never put your fingers on your eyelashes. I'm not recommending this only relating what I've heard is being done especially in non USA. You can buy generic latanaprost for about $15-20 USD. That's a six week supply. Latisse goes for about $100-150 USD per bottle.
Avatar m tn Lactulose vs. Xifaxan to decrease the ammonia. And beta blockers vs. banding for the varices which I presume are esophageal. You will get variations of experiences here which are therapeutic relative to your anxiety and directive relative to the facts But go to your Hepatologist with these anxieties because you can manage the effects of cirrhosis. My best.
Avatar f tn You just have to do it awhile and you learn what is low vs high (ie knuckle deep to reach it vs full middle finger vs full ring finger). Then soft vs hard would be the difference between your lips and nose. I know way to much information, but you asked;-) It is also best when you cervix is wet (ie egg white stretchy discharge). Just remember most fertile is SHOW--Soft, High, Open, Wet. Again sorry I can't help with open vs closed. Good luck.
Avatar m tn Ganfort ( Bimatoprost 0.03%/timolol 0.5) .
