Bimatoprost eyelash

Common Questions and Answers about Bimatoprost eyelash

lumigan

Avatar m tn Lumigan is a glaucoma medication that is put directly on the eye. Latisse is the same medication, different packaging for eyelash growth and it is painted on the eyelashes with a brush. I suppose the study that was completed 12/31/09 for growing eyelashes was only done on upper lid eyelashes. Then that's all that the FDA will allow them to say.
Avatar n tn Excerpt from DoubleCheckMD - Latisse (bimatoprost topical ophthalmic)... "Latisse may cause color change in the sclera (tough, outer covering of the eye). Concurrent administration of bimatoprost topical ophthalmic solution (LATISSE) and IOP-lowering prostaglandin analogs in ocular hypertensive patients may decrease the IOP-lowering effect. Patients using these products concomitantly should be closely monitored for changes to their intraocular pressure.
12845664 tn?1427483649 I am using Lumigan (bimatoprost) 0.01% nightly. Cost under my Medicare coverage is pretty high (deductible plus copay). Bimatoprost 0.03% is now available as a generic. What potential problems am I inviting by asking my ophthalmologist to switch prescriptions and start using the 0.03%?
Avatar n tn hi - i've had dry eyes for one year, the initial symptoms were just dry eyes, this increased to mucins, then itching, redness, tearing. i've been to so many consultant opthalmologists. i'm now 29, female, nothing is helping. my current diagnosis is ocular allergies or rosacea. i have no skin symptoms, but have noticed a red nose. anyway, all of the doctors say there are no signs of blepharitis. I am on a tetracycline antibiotic for acne - for several years.
Avatar f tn After a few days, they completely went away. But awhile ago I got an eyelash in my eye, in the same area the veins were in. I used the tip of my finger to get the eyelash out, and then a short while later the red veins popped up again. They feel sore and when I tried using eye drops, it burned, so I stopped. Will they go away? Should I use eye drops, or just leave it alone until it fades on it own? Does anyone have any idea why these veins popped up?
Avatar n tn I have been using eyelash curlers for quite some time, and never before have I had any problems. Recently, I have noticed that my corner lashes are much shorter than those in the middle. If the curlers are causing my eyelashes to shorten, how come they haven't affected the lashes in the centre of my eyelid? If you suspect that my eyelash curlers aren't the source of the problem, will you please suggest what could be?
Avatar n tn Last week i pulled out a full set of eyelashes with an eyelash curler. Will they grow back soon? This discussion is related to eyelash regrowth.
Avatar f tn with an eyelash curler, my hand slipped, when i looked down at the curler half of my eyelashes were stuck to it, and i have to go to school like this :(
Avatar n tn So I've had an extremely red eyelash line on my upper and lower eyelids for about 2 weeks. My eyes look very dark and 'saggy' on the eyelids, and the lower eyelash line has developed wrinkles. My skin itself has also gone very dull and dry, even when I use heavy duty moisturiser it doesn't do anything, seems to almost just sit on my skin and not absorb. Its really really effecting me emotionally as I can really see it and I have an almost ill, zombie looking complexion.
Avatar m tn t seem to get through or break up and it gives me ghosting on lights and such. The ghosting moves with my eyelids. Like if I have a hair or eyelash in my eye, after I blink you can see the hair/eyelash sliding up my eye as if it were following the upper eyelid or something.
Avatar m tn what happen if something got inside my eye like hair or eyelash and i couldn't get it out ?
Avatar f tn See an ophthalmologist to be sure you do not have a medical problem that might cause eyelash loss such as blepharitis. Many cases of eyelash loss are from pulling lashes out due to anxiety or a form of trichotillomania. If not cause is found consider use of latissse. Read the article on same on this page under Today's Pulse by Dr. kutryb.
Avatar m tn If at all possible get to see ophthalmologist Eye MD, or optometrist, or emergency room. The eyelash could be turning in (trichiasis) and would need to be removed with fine forceps or it could be under the eyelid in which case the eyelid needs to be everted and the lash removed or it could be something other than an eyelash you are feeling. I don't think you can do home management anymore.
Avatar f tn It felt like there was eyelash in it, and it was really uncomfortable to blink. I kept going to the mirror to check if there was an eyelash in my eye but there wasn’t. In the process of moving my eye to see if an eyelash was there, i saw that something was separated. It’s the pink tissue next to my tear duct. I don’t know what it is called, all these eye diagrams are so complex. I checked my other eye and it was fine, so i was terrified that my right eye had this slightly separated tissue.
Avatar n tn Both eyes are always red & I guess now for the last couple of months it feels like theres something in my left eye only. It feels like an eyelash but theres nothing in my eye. I've also been having this redness in my eye for the last two yrs or so. I have to use clear eyes like alomost everyday.
Avatar f tn Stress can also cause eyelash loss. If you have a low body weight from poor nutrition (inadequate calorie intake or very limited diet) then this is a separate cause of eyelash loss. I suggest you first work on improving your overall health status.

Avatar f tn Both his upper and lower lid has eyelash loss. We noticed this is November and our pediatrician had no knowledge as so why. His blood came back fine. His eyes look normal no red, swelling. He recently went to a local eye doctor which he was diagnosed with blepharitis. He were instructed to wash is eyes 3xs a day and apply eye ointment at bedtime. At the very outer edge he has a few about 10 lashes. Yesterday I counted the lower lid and he is down to 3.
Avatar f tn Hi I'm fourteen years old and I use to wear mascara a lot! Since then I've stopped because now my eyelashes are so weak and I hardly have any. They are so thin but long. I decided to buy an eyelash serum on eBay and it only made them worse. Now I've stopped wearing mascara and I apply almond oil everyday for the past week. My eyelashes are not growing back at all and occasionally three lashes come out a week. I don't know what to do! I don't want to lose my eyelashes.
Avatar n tn I think I can notice a difference between my left eyelashes being fewer and smaller than my right and an overall decrease in my eyelash length. I am trying to stop doing this but want to know if the damage has already been done, thanks.
