Avatar m tn Thank you for your response. Benzocaine is also part of the Caine mixture category. The question is drug options that are not a Caine derivative that have proven results for cataract surgery. The ophthalmologist said via a nurse, that he has given many people with caine allergies this drug without reactions as Lidocaine in the eye reacts differently than in other parts of the body. I need another opinion on that. Actual consultation with any ophthalmologist at this clinic is difficult.
Avatar n tn I got a pap that came back negative as well as blood tests. For the past 3 months i had a yeast infection and didn't know it. I had one in april and used Canestin to get rid of it. I thought it was gone (because i no longer had ANY symptoms) and it turned out that it was still there the whole time... I got the tear during sex and now it just opens up all the time. My doc says that it should go away a few weeks after my infection is cured. So all of you should really check to see if it's a YI...

Avatar n tn Blood tests came back and I have a problem with my liver enzymes which could be related to me being anemic or the mono. Dr. wasn't too concerned, says she will test again in three months. Dr. says she has to wait for the throat culture to come back to prescribe anything for my possible herpes condition but after some begging and pleading I was able to get some samples of Valtrex so hopefully that will help. If not, we'll just have to wait and see what the throat culture reveals.
544292 tn?1268886268 Sounds too good to be true. (AND IT IS!) The fact is, there's already pain killers here in the house and I'm not going to take any of those either. I'm not taking anything. I'm going to ice it, lay down, rest and realize that my body has been thru a heelllla fight and it just needs a break, a breath. A moment. A freakity frackity day off. I've been in a tough battle for 21 solid cold turkey days and before that; the taper AKA "Let the pills run out....
560501 tn?1383616340 My urologist did a very thorough investigation, from CT scans, Cystoscopy, Ultrasound, Kidney Function tests, STD tests etc. etc. and he reckons that I have Urethral Syndrome.
4333925 tn?1359106042 Clinical studies at the National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research have shown that rinsing the mouth with tetracycline several times a day usually relieves pain in 24 hours and allows complete healing in 5 to 7 days. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration warns, however, that tetracycline given to pregnant women and young children can permanently stain youngsters' teeth. Both steroid and tetracycline treatments require a prescription and care of a dentist or physician.
Avatar n tn Rajput, Thank you for your time and consideration. After taking a sublingual drug for 4 years my teeth started becoming brittle and breaking off at the gumline, I also had a good case of gingivitis. I ended up having all my teeth pulled and now I'm wearing dentures. Ever since my oral surgury 3 months ago the smell has gone away, I think I agree with you when you mentioned "oral problems".
Avatar n tn Thank god fort i was on my own. I have seen gp upon gp in the last 4 years and have had so many tests and lotions and potions that prove that they do not know what they are treating but if it is this common how comes more is not known about it. I have all the symptoms you have all said the splits and soreness and I get it about twice a month and it can last upto 2 weeks!! It makes sex and going to the tiolet and exercise impossible. It can make me so depressed.
Avatar n tn I have been on a cream (wich is a compound, and is hard to find.) It is Eurex Cr with Valisone. The big name drug stores don't make it. So I found a mom pop drug store who does compounds. And he mails it once a year. Let me tell you that cream was a life saver . I had tried everything, Differant MD's telling me this and giving me that. That biopsy made life a whole lot better. Now I control it. But, I still have itching till this day. I have learned to live with it.
Avatar f tn In the internet world of things, each patient can have more freedom and choice of treatment and everyone can check the risk-benefit of using a drug on the basis of their own condition. However, it will be wrong to ask someone not to evaluate if a particular therpy prescribed by their doctor is incorrect or has side effects. I hope my post helped clear the air a bit. let me know if you may have any other queries.
Avatar n tn Yeah. Well that's what I hope-related to some kind of yeast thing, and not HPV-which would mean I have to wait until it runs it's course with me. My doctor actually told me to stick with the gold bond if it works, but that's treating the symptoms...sigh. I just had a run of anti biotics after a surgery, wouldn't that take care of any kind of BI/yeast/uti??
Avatar n tn Went to the doctor for my follow-up visit on Tuesday and thankfully all tests came out normal - the MRIs, EEG and EP labs. Since the MRIs were without contrast the doctor still wants to do them both with contrast just to make sure but she is confident that it isn' t MS. She said the MRIs without contrast would have shown old plaque and the one's with contrast will show new plaque if there is any there. I go back to the doctor next Friday.
Avatar f tn I have tried all the expensive prescription and steroid creams to no avail. I am losing sleep, and my sanity, b/c it keeps me up all night. I am staying out of the sun, but every year, this persists until December or January. I have read countless articles and blogs about BRP, am sure that is what I have, but have yet to find a cure, and therefore some hope that I don't have to suffer with this every year for the rest of my life. Any new ideas/solutions/cures??? PLEASE?!!!!
Avatar n tn With the breathing tests, I went back to him four weeks later and showed him the record I have been taking and he looked at it and instantly said I had asthma??? I said I didn't think I had as I do not get this right the way through the year. He stated Asthma can come and go like hayfever and in some cases can cause this tickle in the neck before a violent coughing attack and also cause flem to come up from the lungs. I have been on the inhalers he prescribed to me and haven't coughed since !!!
Avatar n tn here i for the last 6 months i have had itchy eye doctor told me it was due to mild allergies and prescribed eye drops which didnt help in the least so i turned to over the counter allergy medicine which hasn't helped either (so i dont think it's allergies) and in the last 3 weeks not only are my eyelids itchy but when i wake up in the morning my upper eye lids are bright red and swelled up so bad that its embarassing!!!!
Avatar f tn A good friend, in his 50s, healthy and strong as an ox, tried neurontin for a back injury (I think it was back?) and he had a seizure while driving due to the drug, so NOT to scare you, but do be careful. I opted not to try it after hearing that, but please keep us updated. Thanks!
Avatar n tn They will drain it which is what you need. And will run some blood tests to make sure you have no infections in the bloodstream which can happen due to the type of infection it is.. They will charge you, but if you just pay what you can and have them bill the rest, they will have no problems treating you. And then you just pay a little every month. You will probably get a prescription for antibiotics as well that will run you hopefully less than a hundred depending on what you can take etc..
