The skin on my cheeks seems to be dry right now because of the topical stuff from my dermatologist (retin-a micro gel, used in the morning and left on till night, and benzaclin gel used at night and left on till morning) but normally it feels pretty smooth and kind of soft but also kind of dry. My forehead feels scaly-ish which is probably because of all the imperfections on it but in the summer it is pretty oily and right now in the winter is feels dry and scaly. My jawline is pretty average.
I've recently went to the doctor and was prescribed Doxycycline and Benzaclin a topical gel which consists of 1% clindamycin and 5% Benzoyl Peroxide it seems that its getting better, I just wanted to know what your opinion was on this?
The gel I believe is the name brand and I know some do prefer this one and the other generic some prefer for its even release of medication. The gel or brand name is more powerful I believe but the generic has staying power.
Someone will be along shortly and correct me if I am wrong as there are several people here that do use the patch and know the exact differences between the two.
Also i have a prescription face medication cream called BenzaClin which is 1% clindamycin and 5% Benzoyl peroxide. Also, i am away at college far from my house so could it be my face isnt use to the water here? Im not sure what else it could be. Does anyone have any ideas of what i can do to help??? I haverecently gone to my primary physician and dermatologist and they tell me it is acne and prescribed benzaclin/ Atralin and sumaxin. Benzaclin seemed to work at first, but now it seems to make my breakouts worse. The other two prescriptions just dont seem to work at all. What could this be?Herpes? I do have herpes, but my doctor tells me it should only be on the lip (I have it next to the lip) it's not noticeable at all.
If your taking the medication like it is prescibed and meant to be taken then there should be no worries if they gel up or not. This medication helps alot of people on serious pain and it is people who snort shoot and crush them that makes it so hard for the legitimate patients to get the medicine they need!
I am sorry if this offends you or anyone else but the fact remains that this abuse and misuse and diversion has caused so many problems for people in serious pain that need help.
Also, do you think it is alright for him to use his (DCL) revitalizing gel (use for dy skin if you have heard of it) or should he use something like a Lubriderm or CeraVe lotion because he has been using a prescription gel (Benzaclin) at night (it was to clear up the folliculitis) that dries his skin? I am currently taking benzaclin and erythromycin gel at night and Evoclin foam in the day. I also tweeze and wax the hairs. I was wondering if tretinoin cream would help prevent ingrown hairs due to increased epithelial cell turnover?
I know laser treatment would be most beneficial but cannot afford it at the moment. What can I do in the meantime to help prevent ingrown hair and pimples in the hair follicle?

Shooting and spasming doesnt fell like before the gel, uptake velocity ISNT the same.. Never a problem before the gel and I am worried the gel did something to my smooth muscle tissue or nerves or other cells.. because I would get HARD SENSITIVE erections all the time, at night, the morning, in the shower just through normal hormones but not anymore without physical help. And it doesnt stay engorged like before.. anyone know whats going on here??

The football shaped OCs are produced by Teva Pharm. They do not contain naltrexone, but rather a matrix of gel within the pill. The gel contained no substance, but rather was meant to turn the mixture into an unshootable glob if one tried to cook it down. It was also supposed to inhibit intranasal use because once the gel got wet it would glob up.
3, and had begun with this one. Unfortunately, it is making me terribly ill. The doctor said I should try the gel, but it is over $1000. for 28 days!!! Anyone ever have this problem or have any other suggestions?
s nothing really to pop. It usually goes away within the week. I also have been using Benzaclin for the past few months. I try to use it only when i have a pimple coming on. I know it can make my skin very sensative. I've never had a cold sore, but could this be one?? I dont feel any tingling or the other symptoms I've read about concerning cold sores.
I took generic mylanta--walgreens comfort gel. Shake well--tastes awful but it works. OB said it's ok. I'm also 19 wks this week. I had to lay off the pasta with red sauce & pizza. I also get everything mild now but I like spice when I'm not pregnant. Good luck.
She suggested that I use the gel patch but I need to know who makes a 12mcg with the gel. Does Sandoz still make this patch? I called a major chain pharmacy and asked but they acted like I was a drug seeker so I thought if I could find out the mfg. company's name first then I could ask them to order it.

There are a couple of non-opiates which are pretty effective. Lidoderm Patches which were originally designed for people who had shingles. It is comprised of lidocaine, the same medication dentists use to numb the mouth. It is out in generic so relatively inexpensive. The second thing is Voltaren Gel...I'm not sure it is out in generic but I've got my mother using it for her RA and other issues and she loves it.
I was hoping someone could tell me about a generic that they think works will that I can try next time. I dont care if its gel filled or just the plastic, I havent noticed a big differance as far as that goes. If you have any input on the gel filled or just the plain plastic I would be interested in that to. So yeah if anyone knows of generics besides watson that would be much appreciated.
They told me to treat them with a medication called Aldara, but it is very expensive, so I bought a generic medication from India, which is called Imiquad manufactured by Glenmark Pharmaceuticals. I am using it 3x a week. I know the treatment is slow and that I am not going to have fast results at all. But my concern is, is there any way to prevent new warts from coming out? Is this the best treatment, even being a generic? What do you think about Retinoic Acids? Which one is faster and better?
