ENT said I had some colonies in nose soUsed Bacrtoban for 3 days and slight pain in my nose went away per ENT. I stopped the bactroban after 3 days because I was not sleeping but I was also using Nasocort and maybe that was the culprit.
Cold gone sinus not infected but having some pain that feels like a tooth ache and slight tickle or sting in nostrils when breathing. Left septum is a little enlarged.
Hello.Thank you for your concern.I believe I have a 2nd degree burn.I looked into Silvadine but unfortunately it is only available by prescription & I don't have health insurance.Right now I am using an over the counter gel calamine.It's only been 4 days so it will take time to heal.Do you have any good suggestions for a good brand I could use that is over the counter?I will keep you posted & you did help.Thank you.
I saw another doctor, who said I had folliculitis, and he prescribe Bactroban(Mupirocin) for me. He also hints me the folliculitis cannot be cured completely. I have to put Bactroban on the infected part to relieve the symptom, when I found acnes symptom become more severe. Then, I put Bactroban on my face. At the first 2 days, nothing happen. I therefore put more Bactroban on.
A topical antibiotic cream, mupirocin (Bactroban®), has been effective at reducing bacterial colonization in the nostrils. It is applied twice daily for a week and is repeated every 6 months.

Now, Since last month I have been having troublesome time with anal fissure on the outer side, in or close to the 7'o clock position (right side) with blood in stool and terrible pain. I even had a swelling inside that I could feel when touched.
I presented with only one sore at my cheekbone and was given clindamycin orally for 14 days and Bactroban ointment for topical use. The sore was believed to be an early indication of MRSA. I quickly developed cellulitis and swelling near, but not touching, the apparent abscess, as well as blisters in my nose. I used the mupiricin.(Bactroban) to keep the nasal blisters moist. Now diagnosed with post-herpetic neuralgia, but I still have blisters in my nose treating with Bactroban.
Also, I noticed that my entire body felt like it was constantly trembling and that my pulse was constantly rapid. I went back to the doctor and he took a culture and gave me bactroban to put on the burn until the results come back. Since then, the area around the burn seems very faintly pink (when I had the cellulitis it was red) and still warm and tender to the touch, and also that I am experiencing alot of numbness and tingling and a burning sensation on my left leg, both arms, and my face.
It is located on my cheek and I recently had a test for cold sores and it came back negative, but I put cold sore cream by chemists own (aciclovir 5%) on it and that seems to work. What is it?? I remember placing Bactroban on it which seemed to speed up the healing process, could this cold sore cream help a bacterial infection or could bactroban help a cold sore? Please help

The red bumps are looking like they might be getting infected. I have a tube of 2% Bactroban (or Mupirocin is what it actually says) can I use this on that area to prevent further infection? How can I avoid this when shaving in the future?

My 3 year old son has had a small cut under his earlobe where it connects with his face. The doctor did say I have angular cheilitis on my lips, he gave me an ointment, called Bactroban and an oral antibiotic but he said not to fill the antibiotic unless I really needed it, if the corners of my mouth became red and have pus coming out. So right now I am using the Bactroban ointment hoping that it is helping my lips. They still aren't healed yet, but hopefully it will heal. I did ask him what I can do so that I don't get this again, he just said to drink plenty of water.
Treatment of AKN includes suppression of the inflammation with antibiotics and steroid gels or intralesional steroid injections. So apply antibiotic cream like Neosporin or bactroban. If the symptoms persist then oral antibiotics and steroids may be needed. Please consult a dermatologist in that case.
Larger bumps of AKN present for a while or if not responding to treatments may need surgical removal.
Five days later cultured again and it came back negative. Said I should use Bacitracin for a year as Bactroban burned and dismissed me.(I am allergic to all antibiotics but two and most other drugs-happens over time)
2nd ENT said Bacitracin irritates and easy to get allergic to it. Already allergic to Neosporin. She said my nose is extremely dry causing the scabs, crusting and rawness. Even feels sore down the back of my nose into the throat area now.
I told him one or two of your readers recommended Bactroban mupirocin, but he dismissed that advice for the Lotrimin. I need to hear from more readers who have had success with Bactroban so I can convince him to prescribe if for me. Otherwise?? Help! Help!
Hi. I am a 38 year old virgin and a couple of months ago I chafed the underside of my penis while masturbating. There was not any bleeding and my urinary functions are excellent. ve had this red shiny spot on the head of my penis and i have tried a cream (=Bactroban-mupirocin calcium) and basically nothing happened..i am 16 years old and from what i searched most men that have experienced this got checked for stds and nothing but some say it could be some sort of fungus..and as i keep searching for answers i get more anxious about this and i don't know what to do..
