I have switched body soaps, wash my armpits two to three times a day, gone to a medicated baby powder instead of deodorant, tried 1% hydrocortisone cream instead of medicated powder and nothing works. My doctor said it looked fungal and recommended Lotrimin, an antifungal cream. I am three weeks on this and the rash is getting worse...not better.
I told him one or two of your readers recommended Bactroban mupirocin, but he dismissed that advice for the Lotrimin.
ENT said I had some colonies in nose soUsed Bacrtoban for 3 days and slight pain in my nose went away per ENT. I stopped the bactroban after 3 days because I was not sleeping but I was also using Nasocort and maybe that was the culprit.
Cold gone sinus not infected but having some pain that feels like a tooth ache and slight tickle or sting in nostrils when breathing. Left septum is a little enlarged.
It is getting better but not totally after the ten days of cefelexin and a topical treatment called bactroban i think. He gave me 4 more days of the oral antibiotic. I waited a few days to start using the medicine because i thought it was going away and i was just using baby powder and triple antibiotic ointment. It irritated it and made it itch. could this just be irritation from the dry skin caused by th baby powder?
The white spots appears to be gone, but I have serious irritation on the folds of shaft skin. I tried to stay at home, ventilate it being naked in front of a fan and used baby powder for a couple of days. But, once, I get out of the house, and the skin is rubbed against. A sharp pain starts and irritation starts killing me. The last week, I spent most of the time at home. But, no progress is made.
Would you please advise?

I saw another doctor, who said I had folliculitis, and he prescribe Bactroban(Mupirocin) for me. He also hints me the folliculitis cannot be cured completely. I have to put Bactroban on the infected part to relieve the symptom, when I found acnes symptom become more severe. Then, I put Bactroban on my face. At the first 2 days, nothing happen. I therefore put more Bactroban on.
However I used Bactroban + gentamycin + tumeric powder applied abundantly on the meatus then cover it up with a condom...Did it every 4 hrs after urination / beofre sleeping for the night.After 2-3 weeks, the cellulitis changed into episyphellas then fading away... In the mean time you have to ake Azithromycin 2g first day, 1g the next 3 days along with 4 weeks of vitamin C + doxycycling 2x100 mg/d...Or clindamycin 2x300 mg/d for at least 2 weeks...

A topical antibiotic cream, mupirocin (Bactroban®), has been effective at reducing bacterial colonization in the nostrils. It is applied twice daily for a week and is repeated every 6 months.

I presented with only one sore at my cheekbone and was given clindamycin orally for 14 days and Bactroban ointment for topical use. The sore was believed to be an early indication of MRSA. I quickly developed cellulitis and swelling near, but not touching, the apparent abscess, as well as blisters in my nose. I used the mupiricin.(Bactroban) to keep the nasal blisters moist. Now diagnosed with post-herpetic neuralgia, but I still have blisters in my nose treating with Bactroban.
Also, I noticed that my entire body felt like it was constantly trembling and that my pulse was constantly rapid. I went back to the doctor and he took a culture and gave me bactroban to put on the burn until the results come back. Since then, the area around the burn seems very faintly pink (when I had the cellulitis it was red) and still warm and tender to the touch, and also that I am experiencing alot of numbness and tingling and a burning sensation on my left leg, both arms, and my face.
It is located on my cheek and I recently had a test for cold sores and it came back negative, but I put cold sore cream by chemists own (aciclovir 5%) on it and that seems to work. What is it?? I remember placing Bactroban on it which seemed to speed up the healing process, could this cold sore cream help a bacterial infection or could bactroban help a cold sore? Please help

The red bumps are looking like they might be getting infected. I have a tube of 2% Bactroban (or Mupirocin is what it actually says) can I use this on that area to prevent further infection? How can I avoid this when shaving in the future?

Since then, I suspected another ringworm infection on my left thumb and began applying Lotrimin on that 2x a day. Then I saw a dermatologist who checked the scrapings of my lesion, which came out as negative.
My 3 year old son has had a small cut under his earlobe where it connects with his face. I recently took him into the Dr and they prescribed Bactroban and said to put Eucerin lotion on it inbetween Bactroban treatments for 10 days. It does not seem to be healing up. I am not sure if it is because he bothers it and is keeping it from healing. Is there anything else I can be doing to help this cut heal and close?

I have had jock itch for about a year now in the groin on left and right inner thigh. My question is, can bactroban cream treat and cure jock itch? Its the only cream I have right now. I'm trying to save a trip and money if possible. So far I've been applying rubbing alcohol and it seems to clear the rash a little but not completely. I've been doing this for 3 days.

The doctor did say I have angular cheilitis on my lips, he gave me an ointment, called Bactroban and an oral antibiotic but he said not to fill the antibiotic unless I really needed it, if the corners of my mouth became red and have pus coming out. So right now I am using the Bactroban ointment hoping that it is helping my lips. They still aren't healed yet, but hopefully it will heal. I did ask him what I can do so that I don't get this again, he just said to drink plenty of water.
For about 2 weeks I have been fighting a rash in my left armpit. It is a red bumpy rash that is at times painful and itchy. It worsens and gets angry if I get hot and or sweat. It also seems to get more irritated near the end of the day when my deoderant has worn off. It it directly in the crease of my arm pit and is not blotchy or random but rather linear. It came on after I had worked outside at home one Saturday in the heat without putting on any deoderant in the morning as I usually do.
Treatment of AKN includes suppression of the inflammation with antibiotics and steroid gels or intralesional steroid injections. So apply antibiotic cream like Neosporin or bactroban. If the symptoms persist then oral antibiotics and steroids may be needed. Please consult a dermatologist in that case.
Larger bumps of AKN present for a while or if not responding to treatments may need surgical removal.

Hi. I am a 38 year old virgin and a couple of months ago I chafed the underside of my penis while masturbating. There was not any bleeding and my urinary functions are excellent.
