Common Questions and Answers about Azelastine apotex

Avatar m tn I notice that the Express Script drug I now use is made by Apotex whereas the original Walgreen brand was Cozaar. I went back to Walgreens and asked the pharmacist if there was any chance that the Apotex was inferior/impotent to the Cozaar for some reason. She assured me that could not be the case and that there could be no difference. Losartan is Losartan is Losartan. As an experiment(with GP consensus), I doubled my dose of Apotex Losartan from 50 to 100 mg a day for one week.
Avatar m tn Went to doctor to get steroid shot they usually work but nothing. Doctor also prescribed Azelastine took awhile to pick it up. There was mix up with where it was sent. Was I glad when I did pick it up... HELL YEAH! Not only did it help with allergies but that hellish itch was gone totally. Just like that UNBELIEVABLE! Don't know why. Can't find any info that Azelastine would help with that problem. BUT IT DID! there is no doubt in my mind. Its not a coincidence.

655875 tn?1295695107 If I tape the underside of the patch, will this work in reducing the amount I recieve? I'm currently using 50mcg Apotex matrix patch. I want off these things and cutting back by 25% was horrid! I was on 75mcg. Thank you!
Avatar f tn Optivar (Azelastine) is an antihistamine, a fairly potent one, but you might want to ask your eye doctor about possibly using a corticosteroid eye drop to quell the severe allergic reaction. Also, you might want to consider the use of wrap-around or sealed glasses to reduce the amount of airborne allergen reaching your eyes. Itching is one thing – pain is another especially bad eye pain. Probably just that awful feeling of gravel in the eyes.
Avatar f tn I was prescribed this brand of apotex 75 mcg for lupus. Im finding it really doesn't help enough as the dr says. Every appt he bumps it up higher. My question is I have heard u can cut some Of it off al pull this glue type substance off the patch. Is this safe? At a small amount of course, not the whole patch. Do I chew the glue or suck on it and for how long? And also swallow when I am finished. I don't want to OD on them I just need a little more pain relief!! Please Help!!
Avatar f tn azelastine and fluticasone. She also put me on Ranitidine. I also use the nedi-pod. I started feeling better, but after the 30 day supply, I began feeling it all come back. Saw GI and he put me on Dexilant 30 day supply and that did not help. I went back to ENT. She put me back on everything plus methlprednisolone (6 day). I started feeling better for a good month. Even stopped the sleeping pill. Then I started feeling it all come back. Went to ER after a weekend of suffering.
Avatar f tn I’ve been through all the allergy tests, I’ve tried all sorts of dietary modifications, tried budesonide nasal rinse, flonase, azelastine, cingulair, magnesium supplements and any food that Google tells me is ‘anti inflammatory’, i try to eat. There is no correlation with the weather, no correlation to where i sleep (traveling to hotels, staying home). I’ve had extensive bloodwork and nothing obvious going on there.
1407197 tn?1281298051 When I took fentanyl, I covered it with tagaderm(sp) patches. I put the patches on my hip area every 48 hrs. I didn't stay on fentanyl very long(about 6-8 months). It was one of the most toxic meds I've ever taken and it didn't help like I expected it to. I was off from 100mcg in 2 months time. Thank goodness the withdrawal didn't last forever. I've been off for a year now. With the patch, I refused any brands that were gel inside. I didn't want the risks of it.
Avatar m tn I have this pain that I experience all day every day accompanying the other 10 problems the I experience every moment of every day of my life. I'm experiencing a pain in the top-back of my head, it is just a pain I can feel every time I breath or don't breath for more then 2 seconds. It seems to get worse the longer I wait to inhale. I've gone to around 20 doctors and no one really knows what the **** is wrong with me. I'm currently on Azelastine that seems to do nothing.
Avatar n tn Hi girls, I am a 26 yr old who is looking to get pregnant in about 4 months and i have chronic hives, ive had them for about 4 or 5 years, but they never used to bother me much because it would only be the odd two or three mosquito bite size hives, although about 18 months ago they suddenly got heaps worse, covering my upper arms, chest and face cheeks. I see an immunologist every 3 months who helped me get a combination of antihistamines that would keep the hives at bay.
