avapro generic alternative

Just diagnosed with a 43% ejection fraction and my doctor prescribed Avapro. Is this the proper treatment?? He gave me samples of 150 mg tablets and said I could cut them in half and just take a half a pill once a day. What do you think about that?

When it stopped being covered under brand name on our rx policy we switched to the generic. Under the generic Escitalopram0 (10 mg x 2 per day) he got headaches, dizziness, inability to focus the way he should, "fuzzy" feelings. The brand is $275 per month. If there is a natural compound or herb etc could you let us know. I always knew that certain generics would not work the same way. If the only choice is lexapro then that will have to be.

This is a scary procedure and I wanted to know if there are other alternative procedure/processes. Also, is there something I can do or treaments I can receive to treat this problem. I weight 122 lbs, and 5'4 tall. I take Glucophage XR, Januvia, Glipizide ER, Avapro (to prevent kidney damage, not hypertensive), Calcium with Vit D, Fish oil, Loratidine (hives as needed) and Zantac. I walk, exercise and watch what I eat. My diabetes is under control with an A1c of 6.7.

I have a long family history of heart disease and have high blod pressure (taking avapro) and gerd(taking protonix) I have noticed a frequency in the pvc's since i started the avapro and protonix. Do i need to do any further testing? Do you think that these pvc's are increasing do to the meds? Thanks so much!

The medication prescribed to me is Avapro HCT 150mg/12.5mg (Irbesartan and hydrochlorothiazide) taken once daily (1 tablet) mainly to help ensure the blood pressure remains under 140 systolic, which is believed to help reduce the pressure on the aorta and root. I am booked in for a second opinion with another cardiologist next week mainly to re-assure myself and my wife (and kids) that things are chugging along okay.

s a generic for Celexa? My son was taking Lexapro and asked his doctor for the generic version, and she put him on Citolopram, and it's working great for him as well. I've been told that there is no generic for either, but that the ingredients are almost identical.

m thinking of the pronounciation right, which was then switched to the generic after my one month sample. After maybe a year of that, I went onto Yaz [the brand name not generic] and was on that for a full year hoping stronger hormones would help control cramps more, with not much hope. But now for the past two years I have been on Seasonique [brand name again] and I am pleased mostly because it allows me 4 periods of year [translates into 4 weeks of hell a year lol] instead of 12.

I was forced to stop taking the med after the government withdrew funding and the alternative generic was ineffective. I withdrew over a 2-4 week period. I either took half a tab or missed the dose. I am currently having significant visual migraines. Does this sound like Mirtazapine withdrawal? Has anyone experienced anything like this?

hey all...i was just put on an anti-depressant called Pristiq..i was put on it for anxiety rather than continue on w/ xanax which is not good for me.so far it's been amazing...it's non-narcotic; (supposedly) non addictive; gives you energy; it'sdifferent. just thought if anyone was interested in a possible alternative, check into it? it's brand new so no generic (expensive!!) but doc may have samples-mine did.

Alternative..... Protriptilyne in Generic form. Low side effects, and no sexual side effects either. Also much more effective than Prozac. I used to take Prozac and it didn't work near as well as Protriptilyne. And it's not made in China and it is cheap. A one months supply is only $60 and thats if you pay cash with no insurance. It worked for me, maybe it will work for you also. It has a nice calm, yet energizing effect that I find very theraputic.

I was put on the about 10 years ago I didn’t know they were synthetic my doctor at that time ( lied to me ) told me they were a natural hormone replacement therapy but they made me sick, since they were generic I thought I would try the name brand I didn’t get as sick but still got sick I will never take them again.

After spending $186.00 for the generic form of concerta I'm about ready to cry... no, I have already cried. My insurance changed plans to a high deductible and now I must meet a $2500.00 in regards to my son's medication. This would be an alternative to generic cages of different sizes. For a college assignment I’m proposing a hypothetical future where most implants are custom made. For a cervical cage, MRI scans would be used to model around a “template” cage resulting in the surface plates exactly fitting the form of the persons upper and lower vertebral surfaces. Does anyone think custom implants are the way of the future? Or are there fundamental reasons they might not work for spines?
