She is gaining weight, has trouble breathing, and has been experiencing some chest pains lately (Dr. gave nitro). She is on avandia and I would like to know if this could be the cause of her recent decline in health?

this drug is same family as Rosiglitazone (Avandia) which has been foud active on hbsag and hbvdna, question is does TZD lower hbsag since decrease of hbsag inibits cancer growth too and if lowered to und eradicate hbv?

Hello. Yes, suboxone can give major headaches. I wouldn't call them technically 'migraines' but yeah - bupe headaches are the worst - very migraine like (nauseous, sensitivity to light etc). I had major headaches at first, then very dull headaches after during my sub time. In the beginning - the first 2 weeks - they were pretty severe.. but your body does adjust and they will lessen or go away all together.
When I came off of it, my doc put me on a taper as I came off of it. I did notice some side effects like naseau and increased anxiety, however I kept an open line of communication with the doc. I asked if it would be okay to go on a slower taper as I came off of it. He agreed and the slower taper seemed to help with the side effects.

I'm back with another question :-). DS is 11.5 yo, recently diagnosed. He was put on topamax and imitrex for migraines which are supposedly unrelated and are what sent us to the neurologist in the first place. Migraines continue, some tingling in hands and feet, which is likely the topamax. However, today he had a migraine (been on topamax just over three weeks). Once it wore off I took him to school.
Hi, I have taken those two medications together before but I was also taking an antidepressant at the time as well. Which with my rapid cycling bipolar I shouldn't have been taking, this shouldn't affect how I found these two medications but I thought I should give all relevant information.
Lithium affected my memory a lot, sometimes functioning for me was an issue as it made me at times feel like a zombie aswell.
Very sorry to hear you are suffering this side effect. Metformin is in general, a good medication. There are others in the class such as Avandia. You can talk to your doctor about this. You might try drinking more water, eating more fiber (vegetables, whole grains), taking psyllium seed fiber and walking regularly. Each of those can help. Of course, there is always the laxative option but it's best to try the others first. Take it with meals, this helps.
m a 27 y/o healthy female who has been on 25 mg of toprol for a week and a half now. Also, I had an AVNRT ablation done on August 6th which has produced some side effects like increased heart rate, dizziness and lightheadedness. The doctors put me on toprol to mitigate some of those issues. In any case, I am extremely fatigued to the point that my head feels like it weighs 50 pounds, I have weak spells, lightheadedness and all of that is creating some anxiety.
Hi Everyone, I am on week two of the 12 week GS-7977 and ribavirin. I wondered if anyone has side effects from this. My nurse told me none of her patients have, but I don't feel well. Nothing I can't handle, I was just surprised. I am genotype 2. I have a headache all of the time, body aches, and I am very tired. I also am having a lot of heartburn. Any info would be great. For 12 weeks My question is not so much about the Sovaldi but is there anyone out there on Ribavirin and if you are experiencing side effects of it? Does it get worse as the days progress. Is there anything you could do to help ease the side effects?
This is definitely a life changing experience as I am 60 years old and just enjoying life as a grandmother. Would live to hear more about others and their experiences with the disease and treatments.
Also go on the websites of the manufactures, sometimes they have coupons for a % off your bill. When I joint the avandia program I got a couple months free avandia, plus they send coupons at times. Also ask your md for samples. I use to work at a doctors office and we got enough samples to open a pharmacy. Another thing, if your job offers a flexible spending account, I find that is nice as well. it reduces your taxes and you can contribute up to 3000 a year to them. good luck.
I can understand being put on meds if your numbers are really high, at least until you get things under control but as we are all finding out almost daily the new meds are not being tested as they should be or the drug companies are lying about the side effects so it would seem the Drs ( if they really have our best intrest at heart ) would try the natural remedies first, then if theydon't work go on to meds. Unfortunately that isn't the way it works ------ no money in that!
During the test, I got cold and white, was unable to function well, semi unconsciousness, tremors particularly on the right arm, speech slurred, headache in the temple and forehead, fatigue. After many attempts to clear me from these side effects, they gave me a the antidote to the medication that they used.

I forget who, someone on this forum confirmed wireless routers as messing with them. This was for a medtronic ICD, if I recall correctly. The OEM said they were looking into reports of this issue.
Well, I don't recall the earlier thread, but if a drug isn't working for you and is causing side effects that you can't handle it might not be the right med for you, assuming your situation is such that medication was an appropriate treatment to begin with.
