Because I had been previously diagnosed (and treated with 1000mg Amoxicillin three times daily) with a sinus and left ear infection about a month earlier he suspected that I could possibly have some type of resistant sinusitus and prescribed Augmentin XR (1000 mg) 2 pills twice a day. I had oral sex again with the asymptomatic guy again on 4/11. I was informed by the guy who developed gonorrhea of all this today, 4/14, and have not had sex with him since before his symptoms began.
I am supposed to start taking pristiq 50mg. along with effexor xr 75mg for a week and then effexor xr 37.5mg along with the pristiq for a week, and then just pristiq. I am afraid, seeing how just being off effexor for 7 hrs. put me in E.R. The Doctor said pristiq won't do that if I miss or am late on a dose. He better be right.
Hi, I went to the doctor and all tests are negative. I still have mild itchy foreskin and anus, little burning when peeing, no discharge (after receiving oral sex only, for about 1 minute, 12 days ago). I told the doctor I took Augmentin, he laughed at me and suspects NGU or gonorrhea. Since I am leaving the city for a long period of work the doctor gave me Zithromax 2gr and Cefixima 400mg all in one dose. Then test again in 1 month.... Is this cure good for gonorrhea, NGU, chlamydia? Thank you.
Help me I had a skin culture done for Bacteria and it came back with
1) Klebsiella pneumoniae ( HEAVY GROWTH )
2) Escherichia coli ( HEAVY GROWTH )
Now I have taken Augmentin xr for 2 wks along with Gentamicin ont no change in skin color still red and when water comes in contact gets redder! So doctor now has me on Augmention 875 and gentamicin cream the dosage is augumentin 2x day and gent cream 4x days !
i was just wondering where 6 mg Xanax fits in the continuum of Xanax. is it a high dose / average dose / worrisome dose /okay for a couple months / "other"? i get conflicting information about this.
i thought Xanax XR was considered much more safe than the IR because it just takes the edge off persistent anxiety through most of the day -without the buzz-. is this so?
anyone else have side effects AFTER STOPPING augmentin after the full 10 day dose? I have been off for two days and have awful sweating and hot flashes. I got really sick, and my doctor put me on the antiobiotic Augmentin XR(Amoxicillin clavulanic potassium). I am also taking some tylenol for fever. I was wondering if all these drugs are safe to take together. Specifically, will my potassium levels be altered to a dangerous point? I've heard ambiguities about birth control and antibiotics. I just want to make sure the mix of medication will not adversley affect anything.

You may be decreasing your Xanax dose too quickly if you've gone from taking your 1 mg dose to only taking the Xanax XR in one week. Discuss a tapering schedule with your physician. Or you can try taking the 1 mg twice a day for 1 week (while still taking the Xanax XR). If well tolerated, decrease to 1 mg once daily the next week, then 1 mg every other day the week after.
I took Effexor Xr 37.5 mg for a month and decided to get off the medication. I will never again take this medication. The "brain zaps" are horrible and the feelings are just as bad. I thought since I wasn't on this drug long enough that I wouldn't have side-effects, wrong! I'm also not happy with the way this drug is being marketed and the lack of mentioning of these "zaps".
Just wondering how people out there have done on Effexor XR for anxiety and panic attacks and what dose has worked for them? I started on it July 10th feel pretty good, a few panic attacks here and there but for the most feel good!!
My son who is 9 years old was diagnosed with ADHD at the age of 6, we have tried adderall, aderral xr, medate, medadate xr and now have gone throught all MG of daytrana patch. He is also taking .2 clonidine at night to help sleep. He also has ODD, my question is what medication can we try him on now that will MAYBE help with both? We have tried the Tenex smallest dose possiblr 1/4 pill in am. And he just could not function.

He is very open to any suggestions and I really like your idea of lowering your dose... It;s just that they are xr so i can't split them. I guess I will ask him for the next dose to order. He wanted me to withdraw from all my medicine by skipping every other day. I am on a lot. First I have effexor xr 150 i tapered from 225 and that was hell. they were introducing prozac at 40 mg, then i take xanax 4 times a day at .5 and then the seroquel at night at 150 mg. He is my new Dr.
To take you from 0.5mg (which I am assuming is the dose you were on) to a virtually unheard of dose of 6mg of XR every day borders on incompetence......or worse! Nursegirl is absolutely correct in suggesting you get a second opinion because, as she stated, something isn't right here, AT ALL! No doctor in his right mind is going to put somebody on 6mg of Xanax per day without starting at a MUCH lower dose and titrating up, if needed.
I take Zoloft 150MG one daily. Last year I was taking Effexor xr75mg and had been taking them for about 3 years. Well thought I didn't need the antidepressents anymore so started weining myself off the the effexor, well that was terrible, I thought I was losing my mind. Tried Proza, that didn't work, now I am on the Zoloft 150mg, but I just don't feel as good as when i was on the effexor xr and from what I have been reading I wasn't taking that high of dose.
