Everyone, I got sudden cold, dry cough and high fever(101 - 102), it went for 23 days and came down with Augmentin after doing few blood test those ware normal. Then there was 10-12days i was batter and coming on routine. Again from last few days im having high fever (102 - 103)along with coughing that makes me to though up some chuck of food, some time thicky Yellowish greenish bitter test liquid.
So my question is whome I should consult as previously i did MD and other one MD-PA....
My son takes a medication that is specific WITH food and also another that says you pick with food or without food, but stay consistent with it. I think Coreg, from my reading, is food optional but the recommendation is that with food is better because it slows the rate of absorption. This is to prevent orthostatic hypotension (this is when bp drops and you get dizzy when you stand up). If you aren't having that problem by not taking it with food, then may not be a worry for you.
Another tasty option is real dried unsweetened (or sweetened with applejuice cranberries. They are found at health food stores and cost a fortune but they are so gooooood. Craisins are just candy. They are so processed I doubt there is anything real in them.
Do insist on a referral to a specialist though. This is beyond what a normal doctor should deal with. And you don't want to develop Chronic Kidney Disease. You should ask them to do kidney function tests and not just urinalysis.
It has been there for about 2 - 3 weeks. It does not cause me any pain in swallowing food or liquid nor have I had any particular excessive pain or fever except only feeling a slight irritation and a very slight pain when swallowing . I went to the doctors and I was prescribed leftose, Oralsol mouthwash and Augmentin, I have finished my meds but the red bumps are still there. Another thing to note is that I was diagnosed with H.
The diarrhea could be a side effect/adverse effect of the Augmentin. If it was present prior to use of that medicine, you could have had a gastroenteritis going on and that could explain why you still have an axillary lymph node enlargement. Have you recently had a diet change (added something that you never had previously). Have you increased dairy in your diet? Increased amount of fried foods?
I was wondering if anyone else has taken Augmentin. I was prescribed it for a double ear infection. Originally I was given acetic acid drops but they aren't working.
I plan on calling my OB in the morning to double check. They are pregnancy category B. Although they are thought to be safe not many studies have been done on them. I'm nervous about everything. This is my first pregnancy and I am only 18.

My 12month old daughter has vomited in the middle of the night for the past 6 nights. She has been sick- first a cold then an ear infection and was on augmentin, but her last dose was yesterday. She is fine during the day but every night it is the same thing- her stomach starts making load gurgling noises and her mouth gets watery and she vomits. She sleeps with us and nurses before she goes to bed and then once more during the night.
4 days on augmentin 825 for a chronic dental infection (now a bone infection), I started having major swelling in my hands. This is new, I've never had swelling like this. Yesterday my one hand looked freakishly red and swollen. It was so swollen, that when I straightened out my hand (which was difficult), everything turned white, inbetween the redness.
Anyway, I tried going off the augmentin (I'm taking it in conjunction with clindamycin), and today I feel much less swollen.
Since your symptoms persist in spite of treatment with antibiotics, I do not see pursuing treatment with further antibiotics without finding urine or semen that is infected. A second opinion from a urologist with a particular interest in chronic pelvic pain syndrome would be my recommendation. Also, the infection has been treated with numerous antibiotics (amoxicillin, flagyl, omnicef, augmentin, clindamycin), and all seem to help at first, but only clindamycin has lasting effects. Not even augmentin worked. Any idea on what kind of bacteria would respond to clindamycin but not augmentin?
sinus infection. He finished his dosage with no improvement. He was put on Augmentin again and also started having redness and infection in his left eye. With Cipro drops the eye seemed to be doing better, but again there was this feeling of something in his left eye. The opthalmologist ruled out eye glasses or any infection in the eyes and put him on Vigamox and his eye seems to being better.
over the summer (two seprete instances) i have had cold sores (hsv 1) on the back of my throat right before my tonsil. both times there was a single cold sore. and both times i was given two doses of valtrex (4 pills: 2 and then 2 agian in 12 hours). as a percuation i was given a refill of valtrex to be taken if my imune system was low.
I don't see palpitations listed as a side effect for Augmentin.

It may be Augmentin or it may be something else. I think you should mention this to your doctor.
Is this wound infected or healing? There's yellow gooey thing on top of my wound. Is it a scab or infection? I'm currently under Augmentin antibiotics and also i'm putting fucidin on top of my wound as suggested by my surgeon last two days. The wound is not pain and the yellow gooey thing is just there and cannot be wiped off. It's hard. No discharge as well. I didnt wanna go back to my doc as of now cos of the charges. Appreciate the help!!

1 - Would gonorrhea & chlamydia also have been killed by the antibiotics, so even if i was exposed it has already been cured?
Neither oral gonorrhea nor chlamydia (which is a almost never present in the mouth) cause these sorts of findings. The ceftriaxone would have cured gonorrhea.
Scared I called my doctor, yet he told me that it is a side effect that is common with the high dose of augmentin I recieved. I finished the augmentin and I have no sore throat just thrush I recently started an anti fungal for it though. So I have some questions.
1.When someone contracts HIV are symptoms spread out like this?
2. Is 6 weeks too late to have symptoms of ARS?
3. Do you think that the thrush is medication related or HIV related, would it show up after 3 months?
Because I had been previously diagnosed (and treated with 1000mg Amoxicillin three times daily) with a sinus and left ear infection about a month earlier he suspected that I could possibly have some type of resistant sinusitus and prescribed Augmentin XR (1000 mg) 2 pills twice a day. I had oral sex again with the asymptomatic guy again on 4/11. I was informed by the guy who developed gonorrhea of all this yesterday, 4/14, and have not had sex with him since before his symptoms began.
TL;DR: Has anyone seen or had a lymph node with no fatty hilum that was benign? And has anyone had a feeling in their throat when swallowing a month after a tooth extraction?
Hi, all. I'll try not to make this too long, but I have a lot of info. My concern is a lymph node that was found on ultrasound June 1st and confirmed by CT June 3rd in my left upper neck that is firm, movable, slightly enlarged (1.2cm, I think), and was described as hypoechoic with no fatty hilum.
