I was wondering if anyone else has taken Augmentin. I was prescribed it for a double ear infection. Originally I was given acetic acid drops but they aren't working.
I plan on calling my OB in the morning to double check. They are pregnancy category B. Although they are thought to be safe not many studies have been done on them. I'm nervous about everything. This is my first pregnancy and I am only 18.

I have been fighting a bone infection in my jaw for 6 months - it wasn't identified until this past month but I'd been very sick this whole time. This past month I finally found a good oral surgeon who removed the 2 teeth causing the problem, and cleaned out the bone underneath.
I am sorry, but most antibiotics can cause seizures as complications and some like erythromycin and related antibiotics affect the efficacy of seizure medications. But if you need to take antibiotic, augmentin should be ok, but please take a multivitamin B with it. There is no antibiotic (in my knowledge) which can be considered 100% safe, but like I said earlier, the incidence of seizures with augmentin is pretty low. Hope this helps.
I recently took augmentin for three days, had to discontinue because of allergic reaction ( rash, jitters, fever)
Today I awoke with a stiff neck which progressively became worse as the day went on. Now 12 hours later the pain has spread down my back and to all my joints. Could this bee the Augmentin or something more severe.

There are only antibiotics that affect the replication of different species of bacteria. In the case of tb, for example, there are 16,000 varients of the bacteria. There are bacteria that are anaerobic and those that are not. There gram positive and gram negative. As for the side effects file a drug reaction form at the FDA site. There are many different reactions to what are similar antibiotics.
I don't see palpitations listed as a side effect for Augmentin.

It may be Augmentin or it may be something else. I think you should mention this to your doctor.
(. Although it could be from the augmentin I am taking right now ( it is my 6th day of taking augmentin). I have a bacterial infection in my throat and the doctor prescribed me this. The mouth sores appread 2 to 3 days after I started taking my medication. I read that augmentin does cause mouth sores. It's one of it's may side effects. But I am worried still.
and then I went overseas for 2 weeks in november and took one strip of thyroxin with me but my mistake that I switched off the refrigerator and when I came back I just switched on the refrigerator, never realised that the tablets were not in "working" refrigerator for last two weeks and are of no use.. So, I continue taking the meds (obviously which were useless) and my follow up was after 3 months which was 2 days ago and my results came as TSH = 12 T3 = 4 and T4 = 14...

The day has finally come. After 48 weeks my refrigerator shelf finally has a bare spot where my shots used to sit on the middle shelf. I took shot No. 48 just a few minutes ago and now I'm going to go out into my backyard, start a fire in the firepit and burn all the shot boxes that I have been saving for the past 11 months for just such an occasion. If I had an appetite I would make some smores but I guess I'll have to table that idea for a later date.
There are bacteria and a such as Garderella vaginalis, mobiluncus and so forth that can cause PID. It sounds like you may have one of those non specific urethritis. The Augmentin may have worked on one of these organisms. Augmentin doesn't always cause yeast but all antibiotics have the potential. Did they find yeast ? It sounds like they don't know what the cause is and are giving you everything. If you don't have symptoms anymore I would say one of the meds cleared your problem.
