I have a yellowish thick penile discharge and a slight burning with urination. Since I could not see a dcotr yet, I started taking augmentin 500 mg that I had at home, but read that I should take a unique does o 3 g. am I supposed to take 6 tablets of 500 mg or what? I would rather take one 500 mg tablet each 8 hours for a couple of days. Any advice?
Hi everyone, I have 3 cats that are litter mates. 1 little Princess girl, and 2 little stinker boys. I also have 4 other kitties. The 2 brothers came to blows about 4 days back and now 1 has an abscess by his ear on the top of his head. I've been able to clean it with some Chlorhexidine scrub and warm water a couple times since finding the abscess yesterday. This evening while cleaning it I started getting a lot of nasties out of it.
Augmentin can cause liver damage, as can tylenol (if you take more than the recommended 4,000 mg/day). I suppose that the risk would be increased with concurrent use of augmentin and tylenol. Usually, once you have stopped taking the medication, your enzymes could trend downwards to normal.
Do you take any cardiac medications (ie. amiodorone, etc)?
I'm suffering inflammation of the tonsils and taking now augmentin 1g (875mg amoxcillin + 125mg clavulanic acid). Also, i take some antiseptic and anti-inflammatory medication like bradoral 0.5 mg (domiphen bromide ). Also, I take a syrup for common cold and influenza (dosage teaspoonful 5ml which contains 160mg paracetamol, 1mg chlorpheniramine maleate, 15mg pseudoephedrine HCI, and 4.5mg dextromethorphan HBr).
Three days after exposure I was on Augmentin 875/175 twice a day for 10 days and then five days after Augmentin I was on a 5 day Azithromycin Z Pack 500 mg/1 day and then 250mg/next 4 days each. Both antibiotics were for a sinus infection I'm fighting. I'm getting tested for all STDs, but I wondered if my antibiotic rounds increase my chances of not having the STDs that can be treated with antibiotics? (Gona.
I had a random CBC and the results are confusing. Please Help. I also want to add that I took the blood test while on Augmentin 1,000.
Please tell me if I should be concerned.

Because I had been previously diagnosed (and treated with 1000mg Amoxicillin three times daily) with a sinus and left ear infection about a month earlier he suspected that I could possibly have some type of resistant sinusitus and prescribed Augmentin XR (1000 mg) 2 pills twice a day. I had oral sex again with the asymptomatic guy again on 4/11. I was informed by the guy who developed gonorrhea of all this today, 4/14, and have not had sex with him since before his symptoms began.
I was wondering if anyone else has taken Augmentin. I was prescribed it for a double ear infection. Originally I was given acetic acid drops but they aren't working.
I plan on calling my OB in the morning to double check. They are pregnancy category B. Although they are thought to be safe not many studies have been done on them. I'm nervous about everything. This is my first pregnancy and I am only 18.

The man is an overall health nut and has disclosed that he's clean, but of course you never know.
10 -day course of .875 MG Augmentin with pulmicort + albuterol nebulizer treatments, and Nasonex. Some improvement -- lung function up to 81%.
3. 3-week course of 2 MG Augmentin, higher dose of symbicort (no nebulizers), and Nasonex. By January 6, my lung function was up to 92%, which was for me, normal.
The allergist still thought I had a sinus infection, so she recommended a sinus CT scan, which showed no infection.
4 days on augmentin 825 for a chronic dental infection (now a bone infection), I started having major swelling in my hands. This is new, I've never had swelling like this. I month later in may I had a stinging in my penis and I started to freak out because I had sex with my wife. And I am so afraid that my wife has an infection or pid. In oktober my wife needed to that Zithromax 1.5g over 2 days for an infection of her ear. I then also took Zithromax 1.5g and doxycycline 100mg 2 x a day for 5 days against possible chlamydia/ngu.

Thank you for your response. No signs of infection. Dr prescribed Augmentin 875 mg BID. for 10 days. No response. Blood work done. WBC count low, RBC count low, . Pain in neck with throbbing sensations at times. Cat scan done does not show lymph glands swollen but lump is there. Trying to get into surgeon for biopsy and a onocologist.
anyone else have side effects AFTER STOPPING augmentin after the full 10 day dose? I have been off for two days and have awful sweating and hot flashes. I am male, and in relatively good shape. bp has been in the 140/70 range for three days. odd stuff. Ive usually had plain ole amoxicillin, but this stuff takes the cake.
