At this time I went to see another Gyn who said all my female parts were abnormally sensitive *my symptoms horrible rectal pain, rectal bleeding internally but not obviously externally, pelvic pressure, little pelvic and bladder spasms, abdominal swelling, right side stabbing to dull constant right side pain, constantly feel like i have a yeast infection that does not respond to treatment, been treated with amoxicillin for 10 days and 14days, keflex for 7days and 14 days, 3 days of cipro, gent
for different reason but if it is an infection wouldnt the antibiotics work on it as well? I have been on Augmentin 875 ( two rounds), Clyndimician & now Keflex.
I was wondering if anyone else has taken Augmentin. I was prescribed it for a double ear infection. Originally I was given acetic acid drops but they aren't working.
I plan on calling my OB in the morning to double check. They are pregnancy category B. Although they are thought to be safe not many studies have been done on them. I'm nervous about everything. This is my first pregnancy and I am only 18.

Ok about a week ago I had a sinus infection. For two days i took some Keflex twice a day that I had left over. It wasnt helping , I found a bottle of cipro I had left over and I took one. Thats it. A few days ago my boyfriend starts having symptoms of chlamydia or gonnerea ureathra hurting, discharge etc. I have no symptoms. We have only slept together once in the last couple weeks. Anyways, I went and got tested and I have bacterial vaginosis. I have not been with anybody but him.
Went to the doctor and he tested me for strept and mono and tests came back negative. Well he put me on keflex (250mg twice a day for 10 days) totaling 5000mg course. My concern is that I got syphilis has well as hsv2 that same encounter but the keflex cured my syphilis but I gave it to my girlfriend before I was cured. Will that low of a dose keflex cure syphilis? I also had a full test 1 1/2 months post keflex and everything was fine except hsv2.
It is starting to really bother me and almost at times makes me sick on my stomach from smelling this all day. He put me on Keflex and I must return in 9 days for a re-check. Does this really sound like a sinus infection or something more serious?

It may be Augmentin or it may be something else. I think you should mention this to your doctor.
I just read your question about the possible allergic reaction to Keflex. I had previously taken Keflex for mononucleosis at the age of 18 and and other things during my early 20's and never had a problem. A few years later when i was 28 I took it again. I had a terrible reaction. I had very large raised hives that started on the tops of my thighs, inside my arms and up my neck. My eyes were swollen and breathing became a task. I double dosed benendryl and went to ER.
ve been having chills and just feeling blah, my main questions are is Keflex a good second choice antibiotic to clear up epididymitis i have an apointment with a urologist to basically ask the same questions and further investigation and my second question would be should i go ahead and take the keflex or wait for the urologists opinion since the doc that prescribed keflex was a general practicioner and not a specialist, your input would be much appreciated.
4 days on augmentin 825 for a chronic dental infection (now a bone infection), I started having major swelling in my hands. This is new, I've never had swelling like this. Yesterday my one hand looked freakishly red and swollen. It was so swollen, that when I straightened out my hand (which was difficult), everything turned white, inbetween the redness.

Hi, i started my a dose of Keflex last week, and a couple of days into it, my penis started to really itch, on the underside of the head of the penis, and now also seems red and puffy.
I did have unprotected sex about a week before i started the medication, and was wondering if it could be side effects to the Keflex, Or if i have caught a STD?
I started feeling very dizzy after taking 500 mg Keflex four times a day for six days to treat a skin infection. I developed the low grade fever on the seventh day. I haven't felt as dizzy since I've been off the Keflex but the fever still makes me slightly tired.
Is this something I should be worried about?
mine was recently infected and it was my second time as well. I was put on Augmentin for seven days. To help it soften up i would put a warm cloth on it at night or as often as possible. The thing is my first infection was when i was 16 and because i did not understand anything, the doctor perfomed an I&D which was a horrible experience. I do not ever want to go through it again hopefully so i explore other methods whichworked for me.
A few days ago my right ear started feeling a little full. A day or so later I was feeling draggy and like I was coming down with something. I went to local clinic doctor who looked at it and said "Yes your eardrum is inflamed a bit." I had no fever. She prescribed Keflex, and I'm on my 4 dose of it. anyone else have side effects AFTER STOPPING augmentin after the full 10 day dose? I have been off for two days and have awful sweating and hot flashes. I am male, and in relatively good shape. bp has been in the 140/70 range for three days. odd stuff. Ive usually had plain ole amoxicillin, but this stuff takes the cake.

I got the augmentin 400-57 suspension on Saturday afternoon. It is now Tuesday evening. It has been at room temp this entire time. How critical is refrigeration?
