lot of discomfort, Post 4 weeks of exposure I went for STD screening where tests came negative for Chlamydia, Gonorhea, HPV, HIV - But found enterococcus faecalis bacteria in urine, I was given an antibiotic Augmentin 1g for 2 Weeks, but is not working. Can you please help.
2013 from GP ( only hiv+hepetitis B+Syphilis+ chalymydia) only. All were negative. After that i was on Augmentin for 7 days.On 7th Jan'14, i developed red-rash only on meutus of penis. Then i re-visited other GP ON 7th Jan'14, he got examined/re-tested for HSV 1,2, chlaymydia,gonorehea, uretheral swab test.All again negative except candida albican. so he put me on Itracanzole for 2 weeks + azole cream for penis. then again we re-tested for urehtral + anal swab test after 2 weeks.

I did find although that i had Trich, for which i was treated with Nifuratel for 20 days (in Europe), need a follow up to see if its gone.
My question is, have i damaged any nerves on penile glans that result in this pain? Is it permanent, do i have to live with this pain forever?

All again negative except Postive for Fungus candida albican. so he put me on Itracanzole for 2 weeks + azole cream for penis. then again we re-tested for urehtral + anal swab test after 2 weeks. then again negative. But rash dint went away, then he said might be skin parasitic infection. he put me on again on 2 weeks for parasitic infections medicines. + mycoster cream for penis which i applied for approx 2 months. In the meantime, i developed irritation in my eyes too.

Fortunately, when I had encounter I was on azithromycin for my sinus problem since last 5-6 days (1gm a day). I don’t know whether it protected me form transmitting any disease from that girl or not. Below prescriptions I followed from doctor, as meatus not turning pink and pain, irritation still exists, sometimes itching in anus too.

enterococcus is very threating bacteria. i wish u should start taking antibiotic. the best antibiotic for this bacteria is Linezolid (Zyvox).
I finished the course and went back for culture and it still came back positive for enterococcus. She then put me on a higher dose of Ampicilling (850mg) and said I should see a Urologist or Urogyn. I went to Urologist and have had a bladder/kidney ultrasound which was negative, postvoid residual scan results = scant, and I am scheduled for a cystoscopy next week. I have taken Cipro 500, Levofloxacin 2 different times and I still have this enterococcus bacteria. It will not go away.
I was wondering if anyone else has taken Augmentin. I was prescribed it for a double ear infection. Originally I was given acetic acid drops but they aren't working.
I plan on calling my OB in the morning to double check. They are pregnancy category B. Although they are thought to be safe not many studies have been done on them. I'm nervous about everything. This is my first pregnancy and I am only 18.

10days Xiclav therapy was prescribed. After that, strep was gone, but e colli was there, so Bactrim was prescribed for 5 days. 3rd time only enterococcus faecalis was reported and nothing was prescribed until after 20days the doctor repeated examination. 4th swab indicated presence of strep b (second time) and enterococcus faecalis, amoxiscilin is prescribed for 8-10 days.
t yet developed the infection, as would be indicated by the presence of a lesion or a positive blood test, than it takes for curative treatment. The augmentin taken twice daily for two weeks would certainly cure and prevent development of syphilis. The combination of cefixime and azithromycin would most probably prevent infection but it would not be curative if the infection was established.
I have been diagnosed with Prostitiis with the culture coming back showing Enterococcus. My doctor told me it was very serious and said the best treatment for this germ is Amoxicillin. I am taking 2000mg Amoxicillin a day for 30 days. Eight months ago I was diagnosed with the same disease with the exception it was an E-Coli germ My doctor seemed very upset that this type of disease returned after only 8 months. What do you think is the cause of this reoccurence.

It may be Augmentin or it may be something else. I think you should mention this to your doctor.
last six months - increased urinary frequency & urgency - often little amounts of urine, and often comes out as a spray instead of a stream.

Although Augmentin kills certain types of bacteria and is used for lower respiratory, ear, urinary and sinus bacterial infections, does not necessarily mean it will get help a sore throat.
To find out what type of bacteria is causing the sore throat and which antibiotic will kill that bacteria is to get a swab taken of your throat to identify the bacteria and then the correct antibiotic will be prescribed.
Doctor has suggested me Linezolid antibiotic for 7 days since Enterococcus Faecilis was found in semen culture and sensitivity test. My question is - Is this infection very dangerous and does it affects fertility?
4 days on augmentin 825 for a chronic dental infection (now a bone infection), I started having major swelling in my hands. This is new, I've never had swelling like this. Yesterday my one hand looked freakishly red and swollen. It was so swollen, that when I straightened out my hand (which was difficult), everything turned white, inbetween the redness.
Anyway, I tried going off the augmentin (I'm taking it in conjunction with clindamycin), and today I feel much less swollen.
If you have a viral tonsillitis, it will get better on its own in time (about the same time that was quoted for the Augmentin!). But you are also taking Augmentin. So, won't it be tempting to say that the Augmentin is what made you better? We'll never know.
It's not necessarily a bad idea, taking both -- especially if they are truly unsure and they're trying to get you better as fast as possible.
