the doctor whom i went for a second opinon for told me there is a way to fix it but they have to be sure of how it developed and wen and wen i was diagnosed with this problem before my son, i replied i went to each and every one of my follow up visits for prenantal gyno or any other gyno visit i had it was never brought up as a possible diagnosis.
Has anyone been diagnosed with chronic endometritis (inflamation of the uterus). What treatment was used? Was it successful?
I've have developed a problem with bleeding during intercourse. I have been tested for everything under the sun and they have found nothing, no root cause. The used the camera and the diagnosis was cervicitis. I had the cryosurgery done 6 weeks ago with the "hopes" that it would help...and you guessed it. During intercourse it happened again. I was hoping that someone could give me some possible other solutions or refer me to an expert gyn in the Maryland/DC/Virginia area.
I was wondering if anyone else has taken Augmentin. I was prescribed it for a double ear infection. Originally I was given acetic acid drops but they aren't working.
I plan on calling my OB in the morning to double check. They are pregnancy category B. Although they are thought to be safe not many studies have been done on them. I'm nervous about everything. This is my first pregnancy and I am only 18.

t yet developed the infection, as would be indicated by the presence of a lesion or a positive blood test, than it takes for curative treatment. The augmentin taken twice daily for two weeks would certainly cure and prevent development of syphilis. The combination of cefixime and azithromycin would most probably prevent infection but it would not be curative if the infection was established.

Yesterday I have seen a Gynecologist to check endometritis because I am taking temoxyfen 20mg post mastectomy. The gynecologist asked why I have undergone for mastectomy. There are many reasons to do mastectomy and give temoxifen. Can you please tell me any mastectomy done other than breast cancer patient? Please help me.
Living in Egypt you have to do a lot of self doctoring so I would appreciate lots of advice. I shall probably have to go to Cairo for treatment which is 50 minutes flight away so I need to be well prepared with questions and options. It may be Augmentin or it may be something else. I think you should mention this to your doctor.
Although Augmentin kills certain types of bacteria and is used for lower respiratory, ear, urinary and sinus bacterial infections, does not necessarily mean it will get help a sore throat.

4 days on augmentin 825 for a chronic dental infection (now a bone infection), I started having major swelling in my hands. This is new, I've never had swelling like this. Yesterday my one hand looked freakishly red and swollen. It was so swollen, that when I straightened out my hand (which was difficult), everything turned white, inbetween the redness.
Anyway, I tried going off the augmentin (I'm taking it in conjunction with clindamycin), and today I feel much less swollen.
If you have a viral tonsillitis, it will get better on its own in time (about the same time that was quoted for the Augmentin!). But you are also taking Augmentin. So, won't it be tempting to say that the Augmentin is what made you better? We'll never know.
It's not necessarily a bad idea, taking both -- especially if they are truly unsure and they're trying to get you better as fast as possible.
I recently took augmentin for three days, had to discontinue because of allergic reaction ( rash, jitters, fever)

I have white/clear mucous and have used augmentin and azithromax one course after another (augmentin first and then azithromax) given by my doctor but the cough is not gone. My chest x ray is normal but the doctor could not do a pft because of my continuous cough at that time. My blood work for pneumonia diabetes and cholesterol are all good. sinus CT scan is normal too. Is this viral is it okay to take several months for cough to go away. I have no wheezing or asthma history.
Hi J..may I ask what they gave you augmentin for ? If it was for the winter upper resporitory crap that was going around then maybe it wasn't strong enough. Augmentin is a pretty broad spectrum anti. Maybe ask for Zpack (zithromycin).
The trouble with antibiotics are doctors over prescribe this crap and becomes ineffective as the bugs become resistant.
1) although not preferred, will the Augmentin regimen clear me of anything?
2) how soon could I be accurately tested for STD's?
Hi, Iam 12wks pregnant. I was given augmentin sr tablets to treat a sinus infection. The doc said it's safe but I am scared to take it.
so I took my STD test but before I got the result I panicked thinking of gonorrhea or syphilis and took Augmentin for 3 days. Now the tests are all negative but considering the window period for some STD, should I finish taking Augmentin as a precaution to get rid of the possible infection? Thank you.
I was diagnosed with it so many years ago and I never really did anything about it. They prescribed me with naproxen and it didn't help so I gave up! Good luck!
My Dr has treated me with Metronidazole- brand name used was flagyl Nylstatin for yeast, clamycin,spandnox (for yeast), and recently had some relief with Augmentin(which was prescribed for a chest infection). When i was on augmentin all the above symptoms went away however came back 1 or 2 days after i came off the anti biotic.
