I don't know about augmentin, but amoxicillin has skin rashes listed as a side effect.
I started taking vitmin b12 injections twice a week. Dizziness, headached and back pain continued for around five weeks and then stopped. But then skin rashes started developing on my forehead and chest. The rashes were tiny, raised and red in colour. At 11 weeks post exposure, I aging went to the same lab and got tested by rapid hiv blood test which came out negative. My questions are 1) Are the rapid tests dependable at 5 weeks and 11 weeks post exposure as compared to standard Elisa tests?
4 days after the exposure, I got a nasty sore throat that persisted for three weeks only to be cleared by the course of augmentin. 35 days post exposure rashes started appearing on my forehead.The rashes were tiny pinhead in size. I did rapid antibody blood test for HIV 1 and 2 (3rd generation) which came out to be negative. The said rash spread to my upper chest, upper and middle back. I again got tested at 77 days and 84 days using the same kind of tests and got negative results.
My question is it is a month already and the redness still did not go away completely and my muscles still ache and my temperature is still at 37.2 to 37.3 C. Could this be a sign of HIV? or any kind of STD at all? all i noticed about this girl is that she had some sort of rashes, kinda like scabies on both shoulders. Can you help me diagnose what this could be?

so I took my STD test but before I got the result I panicked thinking of gonorrhea or syphilis and took Augmentin for 3 days. Now the tests are all negative but considering the window period for some STD, should I finish taking Augmentin as a precaution to get rid of the possible infection? Thank you.
Because I had been previously diagnosed (and treated with 1000mg Amoxicillin three times daily) with a sinus and left ear infection about a month earlier he suspected that I could possibly have some type of resistant sinusitus and prescribed Augmentin XR (1000 mg) 2 pills twice a day. I had oral sex again with the asymptomatic guy again on 4/11. I was informed by the guy who developed gonorrhea of all this today, 4/14, and have not had sex with him since before his symptoms began.
I was wondering if anyone else has taken Augmentin. I was prescribed it for a double ear infection. Originally I was given acetic acid drops but they aren't working.
I plan on calling my OB in the morning to double check. They are pregnancy category B. Although they are thought to be safe not many studies have been done on them. I'm nervous about everything. This is my first pregnancy and I am only 18.

It is highly likely that Augmentin in the dose and duration I just recommended would abort incubating gonorrhea -- which almost certainly you didn't catch anyway. You can safely take the drug then continue unprotected sex with your wife.
The problem here isn't just STD; you apparently are reacting emotionally to the sexual event, perhaps conflicted about your own sexual orientation or preferences. But this isn't a counseling service, so that will be all for this thread.
was aware I had the seizure problem and prescribed cipro, which I had to call and tell them to send me something different. The one at the pharmacy now is Augmentin. Just need a neurologist`s expert opinion as to whether or not it is alright to take Augmentin with my myoclonic seizure condition. Do not want to start up any seizures. However, this UTI is hurting so badly!!! If It is too risky then I can`t take it!!!! Please help me.
I have been experiencing these intermittent pains in the neck,armpit and ear lymph nodes.The pain comes and goes within seconds. I have had rapid hiv antibody test at 5,11 and 12 weeks and the results were negative. Infact 12 weeks ago, I had a nasty sore throat which was cleared by augmentin. The lymph nodes do not seem to be swollen and none that i can feel by touch except the ones on the either side of the throat. Do anyone in this forum has experienced this kind of problem? Please advice.
Augmentin will affect your pill. The other one I do not know about. It probably takes a couple of days for the antiboitics to get out of your system. You might wanna use a second form of protection just in case.
Thanks for your help. Turned out to be guttate psorisis and the doctor prescribed augmentin and clobex spray. I'm on day six of ten now and the bumps are drying up.
I immediately saw a General Practitioner who prescribed me Augmentin SR (Amoxycillin) and diagnosed me with Pharyngitis. There was no fever, and I have largely swollen lymph nodes on my right hand side.
The course of antibiotics was inneffective. I returned a week later and had a swab done. No signs of Bacteria. I was prescibed Clacee (Amoxycilin). This too was innefective, and I was redirected to an ENT.
I have had blood tests done for CMV, HSV, EBV / Mono. All coming back negative.
After recovering from a serious upper respiratory infection (Amox with Augmentin prescribed), I broke out in a terribly itchy rash. At first it appeared to be like scabies, so was treated for that. Then, at times it was hive like (even the scratches raised up like hives). It is not everywhere, underarms, breasts, naval, lower abdomen, back. chest, shoulders, wrists, hands. There are many small bumps mixed with bigger hive like bumps. Very, very itchy. Calamine helps.
He thought I had a secondary infection in the uterus and gave me Augmentin to take along with the other I am taking. It has been 36 hours and my breast is still really red and sore. I don't know what to do! I am worried that it may lead to sepsis?? Or should I not be worried since I am taking augmentin? It is the weekend, so I can't call my doc again. I haven't had a recurrence of fever or chills. Was the fever just a symtom of Mastitis?

It may be Augmentin or it may be something else. I think you should mention this to your doctor.
My 21 month old daughter got what looked like 2 bad mosquito bites 11 days ago. Over the course of a few days the "bites" got redder and bigger. The pediatrician said they were spider bites. After that, she developed an oval shaped patch that encompassed both bumps. The bumps went away and there are two punctures in their place. The oval shape is a rough texture and has gotten redder and larger for days.
4 days on augmentin 825 for a chronic dental infection (now a bone infection), I started having major swelling in my hands. This is new, I've never had swelling like this. Yesterday my one hand looked freakishly red and swollen. It was so swollen, that when I straightened out my hand (which was difficult), everything turned white, inbetween the redness.
Anyway, I tried going off the augmentin (I'm taking it in conjunction with clindamycin), and today I feel much less swollen.
I consulted another Urologist and he saw it again and said that it was normal infection. He suggested be Augmentin and ITRACONAZOLE capsules. and also advised to apply Betadine on the head of the penis and the foreskin.
I followed that, the blisters have gone now, but I have red rashes (not wrinkles but lines and dotes) on the head of the penis. They seem to be more visible when the penis is erect. Also, if I apply betadine for 2-3 days, skin of the head becomes dry and gets wrinkles.
