Those of you from Cali know what kind of weather has it been here for a while. So being a post-op and trying to figure out your temperature is a pain in the *** in such heat. This night it was like +20°C/+70°F outside and I have no air conditioning in my room. I was sweating semi-severely all night.
Anti-thrombosis medications were injected and there are other medications to ease the pain. Blood work and Duplex scan on the legs were performed and she was referred to the Cardiologist. After a week and all the laboratory tests they found nothing and duplex scan shows no abnormality on the veins....Her main doctor want to refer her to a Neurologist and Rheumatologist to know the problem..
By Sunday afternoon I had awful leg cramps and yesterday morning the pain was so bad that I had to go to urgent care. They drew labs but said they felt I was allergic to the vicodin. Gave me a steroid shot and steroid pack.
The pain is gone today, but I feel ridiculously run down. Haven't been sick in well over a year and am typically an active, healthy, nonsmoking, 40 year old. This just has me down big time!
He thought I had a secondary infection in the uterus and gave me Augmentin to take along with the other I am taking. It has been 36 hours and my breast is still really red and sore. I don't know what to do! I am worried that it may lead to sepsis?? Or should I not be worried since I am taking augmentin? It is the weekend, so I can't call my doc again. I haven't had a recurrence of fever or chills. Was the fever just a symtom of Mastitis?
I have tested the HIV test in 3 1/2 months and again 4.5 months which are came negative. I'm still suffering with Mouth Burning Pain / Sore Throat pain/ Joint Pain / Eye, Hand & Leg Burning Pain and skin outbreak. I would like to know:
1. How much I can trust the 3/2 and 4/12 month HIV test results? Do I need to still go for HIV test after 6 months?
2. How can I get out from above symptoms and back to normal life style?

s what this was (perineum pain, mild tip of penis pain). No pain on urination and no discharge. The symptoms resolved after about 10 days. Then exactly 21 days after my exposure incident I developed swollen lymph nodes in my neck, groin, clavicle, and possibly my underarms. The clavicle and underarms were mild and only the cervical and inguinal nodes now seem enlarged. These have lasted for 4-5 days. I have had no fever, no sore throat, no rash, no GI symptoms.
so I took my STD test but before I got the result I panicked thinking of gonorrhea or syphilis and took Augmentin for 3 days. Now the tests are all negative but considering the window period for some STD, should I finish taking Augmentin as a precaution to get rid of the possible infection? Thank you.
Because I had been previously diagnosed (and treated with 1000mg Amoxicillin three times daily) with a sinus and left ear infection about a month earlier he suspected that I could possibly have some type of resistant sinusitus and prescribed Augmentin XR (1000 mg) 2 pills twice a day. I had oral sex again with the asymptomatic guy again on 4/11. I was informed by the guy who developed gonorrhea of all this today, 4/14, and have not had sex with him since before his symptoms began.
4 days on augmentin 825 for a chronic dental infection (now a bone infection), I started having major swelling in my hands. This is new, I've never had swelling like this. Yesterday my one hand looked freakishly red and swollen. It was so swollen, that when I straightened out my hand (which was difficult), everything turned white, inbetween the redness.
Anyway, I tried going off the augmentin (I'm taking it in conjunction with clindamycin), and today I feel much less swollen.
(stomach pain, discharge, pain with sex, vaginal burning etc) Augmentin was the only antibiotic that seemed to work while i was on it but it immediately came back when off it. Being treated with metronidazole should have cleared a BV or Trichomonas infection but it didnt work..
The reason i posted here is i was thinking it must be gonnorhea or clamydia (despite negative testing) - basically the only thing i havent been treated for? But i have been tested 3 times now..
ve been experience throbbing pain around upper right teeth, my cheek, front and back of my head, and I have swollen painful gum around my right side of my face, and I right shoulder is aching. And I think lymph nose under my chin is swollen. The right side of my face, neck, around ear and back of my head hurt if I push those areas. But I do not have a runny or stuffy nose. I do know that there is a little drainage going down the back of my throat, but it is really a little amount.
was aware I had the seizure problem and prescribed cipro, which I had to call and tell them to send me something different. The one at the pharmacy now is Augmentin. Just need a neurologist`s expert opinion as to whether or not it is alright to take Augmentin with my myoclonic seizure condition. Do not want to start up any seizures. However, this UTI is hurting so badly!!! If It is too risky then I can`t take it!!!! Please help me.
I was wondering if anyone else has taken Augmentin. I was prescribed it for a double ear infection. Originally I was given acetic acid drops but they aren't working.
I plan on calling my OB in the morning to double check. They are pregnancy category B. Although they are thought to be safe not many studies have been done on them. I'm nervous about everything. This is my first pregnancy and I am only 18.

I have had chronic infections since infancy (usually throat, lungs, urinary system. and joint and muscle pain since 8 years of age. Pain seems to come in "flares", muscle pain is burning and aching, joint pain is aching. Currently also having frequent muscle contractions and facial twitching and tremors in hands. Slurred speech and memory problems occasionally.
Unfortunately there's not much you can do besides the augmentin and perhaps taking some over the counter pain medication. You could call your dentist and get a prescription of pain medication.
to treat my throat they gave me augmentin (amoxicilin and clavulanate). so far i have taken one pill and i will take another in 12 hours.
on my left tonsil, half of the inflamed tonsil is covered by a flap of skin. that skin is very irratated and red, this is probably due to the skin stretching as well as my tonsils having issues in general. the back of my throat (not my tonsils) are covered in small "blisters" or "pimples" the kind you sometimes get under your tongue.
