Actually i went to a doctor and got a test for all stds. but the result came out negative and the doctor can't explain why the Hives occured and did not go away completely plus the joint pains. the only thing that appeared was a Haemophilus parafluenza from a genital swab. so he administered a series of drugs. started with 1g zithromax, then 200mg of doxycycline per day for a week and also flagyl 600mg per day for a week.
My feeling is she had a reaction to the penicillin, she has terrible seosonal allergies, the worst I have seen, horrible sinus issues since I have known her, ALLERGIC TO CATS, TOMATOES,NICKEL, GOLD, AND SOMETIMES GETS RASHY FROM LATEX. My feeling is augmentin+hives+allergy. So after all of this she tells me about the meds. She did have a rast test for penicillin and it came back negative, but an infectious disease Dr.

From the symptoms that you have described,they definitely sound like hives. Hives (medically known as urticaria) are red, itchy, raised areas of skin that appear in varying shapes and sizes.They may be triggered by viral infections or medications.
The mainstay of treatment of hives is antihistamine which may be necessary for prolonged periods (in excess of 6 weeks).Take non-sedating antihistamines such as Cetirizine(Zyrtec) or Loratadine(Claritin).
Although from what i have read rast really is not a very sensitive test and therer can be false negatives.Along with the hives my neck was sore,and my face would get itchy and numb. Just wondered I guess if with fibro. people had more drug allergies or can have just one case of acute hives for no reason. Anyone with anything like this I would welcome info!!
One week to the day before she broke out in hives she was given an antibiotic(augmentin)by her Dr. She had called him on a holiday and described to him that here ears were clogged and she had vertigo. He immediatly suspected sinus infection and called in augmentin. She took it for one week, and on the seventh day of the ten day course is when she broke out in hives!!! She proceeded to tell me that they took 5 days to go away and that some who pop up here and there for a few weeks.
after two days, I got Hives all over my shoulders and thighs. A little bit also on my body. it quickly subsided the next day but the redness never went away completely. after 7 days i got a mouth ulcer, then i got tested on the 26th of August for all stds and HIV antibody/antigen (CMIA) as well as HIV DNA test(specialty laboratory). i started to have muscle pain all over that day and i feel like vomitting for a few days. I have a fever all along (37.3 C) with a braun ear thermometer test.
so I took my STD test but before I got the result I panicked thinking of gonorrhea or syphilis and took Augmentin for 3 days. Now the tests are all negative but considering the window period for some STD, should I finish taking Augmentin as a precaution to get rid of the possible infection? Thank you.
Because I had been previously diagnosed (and treated with 1000mg Amoxicillin three times daily) with a sinus and left ear infection about a month earlier he suspected that I could possibly have some type of resistant sinusitus and prescribed Augmentin XR (1000 mg) 2 pills twice a day. I had oral sex again with the asymptomatic guy again on 4/11. I was informed by the guy who developed gonorrhea of all this today, 4/14, and have not had sex with him since before his symptoms began.
I was wondering if anyone else has taken Augmentin. I was prescribed it for a double ear infection. Originally I was given acetic acid drops but they aren't working.
I plan on calling my OB in the morning to double check. They are pregnancy category B. Although they are thought to be safe not many studies have been done on them. I'm nervous about everything. This is my first pregnancy and I am only 18.

It is highly likely that Augmentin in the dose and duration I just recommended would abort incubating gonorrhea -- which almost certainly you didn't catch anyway. You can safely take the drug then continue unprotected sex with your wife.
The problem here isn't just STD; you apparently are reacting emotionally to the sexual event, perhaps conflicted about your own sexual orientation or preferences. But this isn't a counseling service, so that will be all for this thread.
was aware I had the seizure problem and prescribed cipro, which I had to call and tell them to send me something different. The one at the pharmacy now is Augmentin. Just need a neurologist`s expert opinion as to whether or not it is alright to take Augmentin with my myoclonic seizure condition. Do not want to start up any seizures. However, this UTI is hurting so badly!!! If It is too risky then I can`t take it!!!! Please help me.
Augmentin will affect your pill. The other one I do not know about. It probably takes a couple of days for the antiboitics to get out of your system. You might wanna use a second form of protection just in case.
Ok. Since Christmas, I have been back and forth with my doctor. Every week or two I have to make a new appointment. I started breaking out in hives on Christmas. This lasted 3 weeks. My allergy tests are inconclusive. They stopped and stayed away. A week later, I started experiencing. What I thought was a cold. Lots of coughing, heaviness in my chest, shortness of breath, painful coughing. Doctor said it was "probably" a virus and told me to wait it out.
He thought I had a secondary infection in the uterus and gave me Augmentin to take along with the other I am taking. It has been 36 hours and my breast is still really red and sore. I don't know what to do! I am worried that it may lead to sepsis?? Or should I not be worried since I am taking augmentin? It is the weekend, so I can't call my doc again. I haven't had a recurrence of fever or chills. Was the fever just a symtom of Mastitis?
I, too, have had a rash and hives covering my body for 2 months. They are separate and the rash comes with extremely horrific flare-ups that cause severe itching. My doctors have treated me with : Prednisone, Medron, Zyrtech, Benedryl, Steroidal cream, over-the-counter anti itch creams, lotions, and gels,Doxepin, etc... Recently I have had numerous blood tests done and am waiting on the results. This is NOT eczema or psoriasis.

It may be Augmentin or it may be something else. I think you should mention this to your doctor.
I have had pain in my legs and arms and headaches that come and go but am still struggling with this post nasal cough and have been put on augmentin 3 times a day during this time which I believe has aggravated the thrush . Additionally I took two morning after pills during this time even though the second encounter was protected I was nervous ... Last night I broke out in hives on my left leg that were gone this morning having left bruises and a small rash as to where I had scratched.
to treat my throat they gave me augmentin (amoxicilin and clavulanate). so far i have taken one pill and i will take another in 12 hours.
on my left tonsil, half of the inflamed tonsil is covered by a flap of skin. that skin is very irratated and red, this is probably due to the skin stretching as well as my tonsils having issues in general. the back of my throat (not my tonsils) are covered in small "blisters" or "pimples" the kind you sometimes get under your tongue.
Is it possible that i irrateded my urethra from this. on may 5 i took some augmentin 4 pills 875mg and 2 pills the each day following. Total 14 pills. Stupid i know.
I have no discharge in the morning and urinating only hurts when i squeeze my penis before urinating.
1. Could i get chlamydia from this?
2. is this my anxiety and squeezing what causes the discomfort? How long can an irritated urethra give discomfort?
3. I know its stupid but did the augmentin cure the possible chlamydia?
ve been experience throbbing pain around upper right teeth, my cheek, front and back of my head, and I have swollen painful gum around my right side of my face, and I right shoulder is aching. And I think lymph nose under my chin is swollen. The right side of my face, neck, around ear and back of my head hurt if I push those areas. But I do not have a runny or stuffy nose. I do know that there is a little drainage going down the back of my throat, but it is really a little amount.
