I had to start going back to work or I would have lost my job. So I was only getting 6-7 hours a night.
My kids step-mother actually takes hydrocodone to alleviate her anxiety and her depression. I thought she was just using that as an excuse to take the hydro because she liked it, but her psychiatrist actually prescribes it to her for that purpose. She doesn't feel a buzz from the hydro at all, and I never got that buzz or "high" feeling that everyone talks about from hydro at all...
Well here I am on day three clean. It should be day 6 but I took a few pills on my 3rd day and had to start over. It really was not as bad as I set myself up for. My nights are restless but my days are busy with work and it keeps my mind off things. I truely don't feel the "need"! And to me that is wonderful. I so remember counting the hours until I would take my next dose. And once I got to the point that I was'nt even getting a buzz I knew it was time to quit!
i had a couple i and i thought i got a buzz..which has never happened when i was on ativan or klonopin.could it be my imagination? several pharmamsits have said its ok to drink some with xanax and prozac.........years ago i drank real beer with xanax every day and i mean alot of beer and nothing ever happened...
This might be a bit random........I had decompression surgery 3.5years ago which was very successful, however since surgery I have a 'buzz' in my head, that is sort of like when 2 live wires touch and there is a buzz of electricity. It has settled down in the past year or so, it used to be 4-5x, really loud, now it's a bit softer and only a couple of times. The only time it happens (that I hear) is around 20 mins or so after I've gone to bed!
I'm 18 and a virgin (VERY single, never dated and there's no sight of any such relationship on the horizon). But lately I've had the WORST baby buzz (and don't even get me near an infant when I ovulate...I cried when I saw a baby...so random as Im not the overly emotional type). I'm not really sure what to do because my body seems very eager to procreate and I need to get my emotions under control.
if im honest id have to say i do it for the buzz!! i have ruptured discs in back but im ready to stop the meds. im limited to what i can take...i cant take nsaids (non steroid anti inflammatory drug). im scheduled to go to a detox on monday (2 days from now) but am really scared of the wd. they tell me they will give me ativan to help with wd. im now thinking about backing out of detox and going to my pain management doctor to ask him to taper me off of all the drugs.
I am currently using my Clonazepam to taper off Ativan which I have been taking on and off for 1 1/2 years.... God Luck and God Bless.... P.S. You can do it, your body and your mind will thank you for it.... If you have anxiety issues try going the natural route... I wish I did.. Take Care..
My friend took 4 Ativan :@4 Oxy and 4 emtecb A's A couple t3s and some med for tummy. I am asking cuss she won't go o the hospital so I need to know what I can do at home for her.)

Buzz in thoughts started same time as rosacea began spreading on face. I probably have a problem with demodex mites in eyelashes and on face. 65+ years old.
I first noticed this during the first week in September 2012. Something definitely was affecting my brain. I had never experienced anything like this before.
Had another biopsy same area, told the Dr that the valium did nothing, so he gave me Ativan, same thing did nothing. Now I am being told, after an episode of ON, and a myriad of other symptoms, that I probably have ms(othamalogist dx), but he said I need a final dx from the ms specialist or neuro. My question,..... Does anyone here find that they have the same problems with their pain meds, and do you feel that this may be linked to ms?
m in a good position to tell you about the pharmacology and neurobiology of both) but the Xanax is most likely to have the significant impact which make the use of Addrenall kinda pointless if you are using both together (think of it like if someone would rush in to the ER on meth, they would give them a benzodiazepine like Xanax (would probably be Ativan) to send them home... Anyway you see the point).
t tell you ativan is the boogey man, it helps and you do seem to have an awareness about using it. Ativan is a Benzodiazipiem<sp and it has dangers like most drugs out there. Particularly withdrawing from them, causes seizures in heavy usages. I think in most cases you should listen to your doctor. If you don't trust your doctor you should consider finding a new one. I as well have taken both Xanax and Ativan. I personally feel that the Ativan is better. I do not take it often. Only when I am having an attack coming. The biggest difference I felt in the two medications was that with Xanax, I woke up very groggy still not much calmer. Ativan I do not wake up groggy and I actually am relaxed.
I think you would benefit from trying it. IF you do not care for it than either ask to be put back on Xanax or a different one all together.

Hi again. I was wondering if anyone takes Ativan daily? I was told I could take this along with the Zoloft until the Zoloft kicks in. That just seems odd to me but...........it works. I didn't take it today just to see what I felt like and I've been nervous and anxious all day. I'm just confused on how long to wait before the Zoloft works on it's own (it's been 3 weeks & I know it can take a month or more) and when I'll be able to NOT use the Ativan.

im not a doctor, but im taking ativan for years. The Ativan works for 4 hours , how long it stays in system about up to 3 days.it depands on how many mg you took .
instead of talking more , try to skip the ativan , instead of 3 times a day, try 2 pills a day for few days.The mdication will start to work again. Your body just get used to those specific meds.It is very easy to get used to it and get hook on those meds.Just be careful.
