ativan and lunesta

I never tried remeron, but ambien was horrible and so was resterol the taste of the lunesta that it leaves in your mouth is horrible so there is no easy answer but I did find the ativan did help for a while and I still take it with the lunesta and I agree if I get a good nights sleep the next day is much better.

this is just my experience, and I'm not on tx yet...I can't take Lunesta and ambien, ambien makes me feel nutzo the next morning, but many people are fine with it...I take ativan if I have had a lot of sleepless nights in a row, and at a very low dose...I find tranquilizers lull me into sleep, which I prefer...best of luck...

The Lamictal and Abilify are at standard clinical doses but effective. I believe the same with Ativan and Buspar though I only took those for a short time. The Lunesta however, is at a higher dose than needed for many people. 1 mg worked fine for me.

4 days is the longest i have gone without sleep. Ativan worked for 3 days, Lunesta only worked for 2. I do not know why my body builds up a tolerance to everything. I will be a complete basket soon if i can not sleeep. Please tell me I am not the only one this is happening to. My GYN has no suggestions past the Lunesta. I know I will end up in the emergency room soon. I don't know what to do.

i have a chemically induced daze, little fatigue , muscle aches amd slight insomnia and melatonin doesnt seem to kick in , so i tale a little Ativan and it helps a little.

I took Ativan for nerves for almost 2 years...and yes, I did the cold turkey thing and it was TERRIBLE...but it only last for about 3 days, except for the insomnia...it was a few months before I could sleep well NATURALLY again. However, as to tapering off...if its been only a day or two, then you need to have your prescribing dr give you about 20 of the lowest dose ativans, and taper you off.

All of these herbs, and there are a host of them, can be used as a tea or taken as a pill or as a tincture. Lunesta is a sleeping pill, and again, if used every day, it will eventually stop working and will make the insomnia worse.

I am on Zyprexa, Prozac, lorazepam, lunesta and trazadone. I have taken lorazepam for 9 years 1-1.5 mg prn. Dr tries to wean me down but I get sleep deprived the go into full blown mania so he then restarts it. Is it possible weaning off benzos causes mania or is this part of my disorder?

It also works well for a nervous stomach. I have tried it for both cases and it work. The reason I use Ativan is because I get all those other scary symptoms that make me feel like I'm gonna have a heartattack. My gyne thus far feels that I'm not in perimenopause but she's got to be wrong. I also went to another gyne a week ago and they told me they don't test hormone levels?! I asked what do you give someone during this time of hormonal imbalance...

I want to get off the ambium /lunesta and occ. ativan. I need to know the best way to stop. My kids need me and I am incoherant and unble to work.... last night I didn't sleep after taking 3 ambium, valeran root and rx sleeptime,, finally, at about 6am I feel asleep after taking a lunesta (i know i shouldn't be mixing all this stuff) for about an hour. I should say that my doctor had me fill an order of 100 mg nuerontin last night. I took two in the even.

Hey Kimmy..and congrats on two years clean. My dr. prescribed me ambien and ativan which have both helped me with the sleep factor and anxiety. I do wake up in the night but am able to fall right back to sleep, this has always been the case for me. Now ambien isn't for everyone and it shouldn't be taken for long periods of time as well as the ativan because both can be addicting. Hope this helps.

I dont know why it is making me nausea. My doc then perscribed lunesta 3mg. Has anyone tried lunesta and experienced better sleep with it? I am afraid of trying lunesta because i dont want to feel so nausea again. I didn't take any sleep med last night...didnt have a very good sleep but still i feel nausea. I need something to help me sleep without causing nausea and to help me sleep like a baby throughout the night pleaseee.

t tel that much difference except they cost 50.00 and regular cost 10.00. I also take benadryl and ativan which also work sometimes.

I usually watch a little tv, read a book, then get sleepy, and fall asleep. It really helped me, and I take it every now and then. It is natural and not habit forming, which I really like.

My GP prescribed me Lunesta last week. It works, but it gives no appetite. I try taking it every 3rd or 4th night. I am serious about the no appetite though, the first time i took i literally did not have an appetitie for two days. Not healthy in my situation. I have tried ambien, and all others, but this is the only that has worked so far. Of course everyone's side effects are different.

My doctor heard about my ER visit and said well let me try you on ativan and sleeping pills..which I did not have to take before. I am so mixed up. They are giving me ambien, lunesta and this smybolta. I don't need all of these , my klonopin or xanax did me just fine. The addiction I was told by ER doctor was not my fault however my Doctor continued to give them to me after my other doctor passed away here in Colorado.

Hey all, so I got tired of not sleeping more than 4hrs a night after being off of Tramadol 42days and my Dr gave me Lunesta. I asked if it was addicting and he said yes but you won't buid up a tolerance to it... I would like to hear this though from someone that has taken this medication and has had to come off it... How hard was it? What where the wds like???ect.ect any info on this would be appreciated...Thank You. Jeffi.

I'm on Ambien every night, otherwise, I would only get 2 hours of sleep a night. The benefits outweigh the risks. My doctor said there is a chance of depending on it to put you to sleep, but when my newborn comes, I'll wean off of it from having to be up with him all night. I even took Ambien with my first son, and he was born picture perfect. Get some rest!

It's 3 weeks since I've been having a pretty serious depression, including anxiety & sleeplessness. I was put on a new antidepressant LexiPro (15 days now), xanax as needed, which I only need to "take the edge off" when Im shaky, and Lunesta to sleep. This is the 2nd time I've used Lunesta.

The highest available dose of Lunesta is 3mg. Recently, thought is that Lunesta, Ambien, and others in this class are very similar to benzodiazepine drugs. But I haven't read much about addiction or withdrawl from these meds. Seems like insomnia would be a given, but you could try melatonin or valerian root to combat that. Good luck either way.

When I kept forgetting to take the second dose, he suggested the 30mg X-RAY And it seemed to work extremely well, I was not sleeping at all, had lots of stress and went through a number of different antidepressants, they all pretty much made feel hung over and generally like crap all day. He suggested Lunesta and it seemed to work enough to get atleast 6hrs of sleep and felt well rested the next day.

Im currently taking 25 mg of zoloft, 1mg of ativan as needed, mostly for panic attacks, 1 25 mg hydrochlorothiazide a day for blood pressure, and now they want me to use 1 25 mg tab of seroquel at bedtime. Im only 23 and hate to think i need all of these meds, but when im not doing what the docs say i do feel worst. Im gonna try one pill tonite and decide if i need it i guess? Any Suggestions.

It is good to hear that someone had a good experience with Temazepam. I have a prescription for 30 mg. as well. Sleep good with it. I've used Ambien and also Lunesta. They put me to sleep but I wake up after 4-5 hrs. My doctor increased my mg on the Lunesta from 2 mg to 3 mg (he didn't want to at first) but I still didn't get the results of staying asleep. I know the Temazepam (Restoril) is a benzodiazepine and I've been tapering off Ativan, which is in the same family.

All my shots rotated in belly fat. Only reaction was a rash from procrit shots. I was over reactive to interferon and it damped the riba hyperactivity down a whole lot but I used benedryl for sleep the whole TX and was up to the max dose (200mg) by the end. Your immune system is working so hard; you HAVE to sleep to stay sane and recharge your body.
