Arthrotec and tylenol

Common Questions and Answers about Arthrotec and tylenol

arthrotec

Avatar f tn It is just too much for me to go on without something stronger than the Ibu. and otc pain meds. I have SLE and fibro, cfs, and if I can I would prefer to not take the Lortabs anymore. Thank you again for your reply and I hope you are doing well also.
Avatar n tn I've taken 8 grams of tylenol yesterday morning and 9 grams of it this morning (all were taken in one dose), but I don't feel 'gross' or whatever. I can't fall asleep easily at night but nap during the day (i'm unemployed now), my urine is pale green or white, my stomach is distended (bloated), I have malaise, and tire out SO easily. I can't even bother to shower everyday anymore. Before yesterday, I was taking 3.
Avatar f tn tried enbrel, mtx, simponi, mobic, ibuprof. and more. Thinking of cataflam, arthrotec. If something has helped your ra pain pls reply. Narcotics are out I drive for a living. Thank you.
513154 tn?1340225289 I have a question about Osteoarthritis and the pain that comes with it. Last November I had 5, 6, and 7 upper vertebra fused together and feel so much better in that way BUT i can't take anti inflammatory medications for my Osteoarthritis, Tylenol doesn't even help a bit and non of the arthritis over the counter meds help either. My question is... is there a non narcotic pain medication that I can take every day? I am 45 years old and very healthy besides my arthritis. thank you!
Avatar n tn You need to get checked by a doctor, whether you do it with a PCP, through the ER or a clinic. Tylenol and alcohol just don't mix and it's easy to damage your liver with just overdoing it a little with both. And taking more Tylenol will not do anything for your pain. What about going back to the clinic? If the Arthrotec didn't agree with you, I'm sure they could give you something else. There's lots of things to try. But self-medicating is never a good idea.
Avatar f tn I work for an Ortho Surgeon who specializes in knee and hip replacements and also sees a lot of patients with severe arthritis, he does use Mobic alot but also uses the Arthrotec. Find a good dr. and get some definitive answers then proceed from there as far as what medications will help you. Keep us posted and welcome to the forum.
Avatar m tn I am a registered nurse who has been experiencing pain just below my rib cage right side through to my back for almost 12 weeks the pain was coming and going for a while then got more sever and constant worse with movement. No injury or strain brought this on it is worse at night and in the morning it is preventing me from sleeping and wakes me. If I get into a comfortable position I am ok for a bit but movement and sneezing can make it unbearable.
780647 tn?1304020942 I also see that a physician prescribed Arthrotec for you. Arthrotec is used to treat osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis in people at high risk for developing stomach or intestinal ulcers. Both conditions can be extremely painful which explains the symptoms you are experiencing. Have you began the medication yet? It may take some time before you see the benefits. Some times NSAID's need to "build up" in your system before they are truly effective.
Avatar f tn The lower part of my arms swell and are very painful. It hurts just to move my arms. I have like a burning and stinging in my legs and my knees hurt very bad. My hips hurt when I lay on either side. Went to doctor and done blood work and was checked for rheumatoid arthritis. Everything come back o.k. My back hurts when I stand very long. Only relief I have is when I apply heat to the different areas. Not depressed, but I want to sleep a lot. What is going on here?
Avatar f tn I cannot sleep longer than for 2 hours. I was given Tramadol and Arthrotec for the pain. I now take Arthrotec and paracetamol after suffering a vomiting fit. I am tired of waiting to receive an appointment to see the hospital neurosurgeon to whom I was referred. I was told to get an ambulance back to hospital immediately if I became incontinent or numb in that area. What does '...
1305522 tn?1273170802 t take OTC pain meds lightly because you can get them more easily. I did that, and now get rebounds, where the Tylenol/aspirin/ibuprofen makes my pain WORSE because I unintentionally abused them. I would definitely talk to your doc about how to manage the pain meds, and how best to take them for the maximum benefit with minimal side effects.
Avatar n tn i have an undisplaced tibia fracture and the doctor prescribe arthrotec. i want to know could it slow down the healing process? is it necessary to use arthrotec?
531667 tn?1215612330 You would have to see if it works for you, the lortab, vicoden and lorcet are short acting drugs and contain tylenol and the Tylenol is not good for you to take over long periods of time and it will damage your liver. If you OD on Tylenol your just gone because it is nearly impossible to reverse so I would not recommend being on it for a long time or using it as a main part of your pain control. I do not take but one lorcet a day if that.
393986 tn?1303825975 Hello to my Dearest Forum Family! How is everyone? I've been in a crazed writing frenzy of insanity! Literally! I am writing for an online paper, our local print paper, still trying to finish my book on Stills and now I am a freelance editor for a few authors who write paranormal, romance, sci-fi, fantasy fiction and many more. I get to read books before print, fix mistakes and get paid for it! Yeah, I am all over that like a fly on a sticky trap...
Avatar n tn I developed a foot drop and numbness in my right arm and the neurosurgeon did a CT myleogram that showed I have pressure on my spinal cord and I'm facing surgery Thursday. No one offered anything but a steroid injection and a steroid pack, but I finally went to a quack dr who is a pain pill pimp. I now have an endless supply of hydrocodone, and I try to use it wisely and only for pain relief when I have to.
Avatar m tn ll take more injections with more caution. Interesting though that the anti-inflammatory arthrotec and 25 mg nortriptyline seemed to do the job before the injections!
Avatar m tn i am on very high doses of morphine, oramorph, tramadol, dihydrocodeine, baclofen, arthrotec & some paracetamol for a bad back. I also have osteoporosis & take calcium tablets for this too. This has gone on for 5 years since i fell off the back of my old works truck. Oh & 2 lots of pills for high blood pressure.
Avatar f tn All it did was put me to sleep, then when I woke up I just felt drunk and groggy and was still sick as a dog. I loved zofran though, I wouldn't have been able to eat at all or even drink if I hadn't of had it.
Avatar f tn So, with Lortabs and their tylenol content...4000+ mgs a day can be detrimental to both your kidneys and your liver? I pretty much had an idea this was the case, but for the last year or so, someone very close to me takes this much, and gets sick every time he eats. He also has extreme lower back pain at times, and the doctors at the quick care keep saying it's his back, and give him even more lortabs! Could getting sick after eating mean he as something wrong with his kidneys or liver?
Avatar f tn Has anyone else had an almost constant low grade fever and headache on triple therapy? Just 99.9-100.5, It hardly ever goes away and I feel SO much better when it does. I'm treating for the second time - this time with triple. Finished the incivek 2 weeks ago with high hopes I'd feel better. Didn't. Had pneumonia right after first starting and a transfusion for anemia, but don't think that those are involved in the fevers or headache.
Avatar n tn Keep staying strong and stay away from too much tylenol!
Avatar f tn Yes I get migraines. I usually try not to use Tylenol for them so most migraines I sleep off but some I can't and take Tylenol. Could migraines be the trigger?
Avatar f tn I seriously doubt they themselves would take it...with this disease. Just google tylenol and liver disease and safety together and you will see why.
Avatar f tn So I know it's ok to take Tylenol and nurse my baby and I know it's ok to give my baby Tylenol but does anyone know if we can both take it and still nurse?
Avatar f tn Now im 26 weeks and today i have SUCH a bad headache and backache. I wanna take a tylenol sooo bad but im scared to get sick like that one day. Has tylenol made any of you ladys sick? Maybe it wasnt the tylenol and just the morning sickness?
