Avatar n tn Is Left Bundle Branch Block considered congential heart disease if it is something I was born having?
Avatar n tn First, Second and Third degree block is normally refer to av block. Bundle Branch Block I haven't heard a degree yet. It is either right or left OR imcomplete RBBB or LBBB. Might be you're right, if both RBBB and LBBB happened at the same time, it also called complete heart block. A lot of websites explain those terms. I got RBBB when I was young. I got LBBB when pacemaker pacing at the right ventricle. When my pacemaker fail then I realized I got complete heart block.
Avatar n tn I've had some pain and chest tightness on the left side with left block and enlarged right atrium and enlarged left ventricle on ekg. I have low oxygen from sleep apnea. are there drugs like ACE drugs to treat this?
Avatar f tn There are conductive pathways for electrical impulses to follow from the source at the right atrium down the setum (wall separating left and right sides of the heart) and then into left and right ventricle to contract at the same time. Left bundle branch block (LBBB) is a conduction abnormality seen on the electrocardiogram. In this condition, activation of the left ventricle is delayed, which results in the left ventricle contracting later than the right ventricle.
Avatar m tn Even though interference with the impulses may last for only a fraction of a second, that may be enough to cause bundle branch block. Bundle branch block sometimes makes it harder for your heart to pump blood forcefully and efficiently through your circulatory system. Although bundle branch block itself often requires no direct treatment, you'll need treatment of any underlying health condition that could cause bundle branch block, such as coronary heart disease.
Avatar n tn Therefore, as the electrical impulse leaves the His bundle, it enters left bundle branch only, and is carried to the left ventricle. Then, from the left ventricle, the electrical impulse finally makes its way to the right ventricle. As a result, the two ventricles no longer receive the electrical impulse simultaneously. First the left ventricle receives the electrical impulse, then the right. Why does the QRS complex change in BBB?
Avatar n tn i have left bundle branch block and (prizmetal angina ,'stress related'). I am often tired and lethargic, is that normal?
Avatar f tn I AM A 28 YEAR OBESE WOMAN WHO WAS DIAGNOSED WITH A LEFT BUNDLE BRANCH BLOCK IN OCTOBER 2010. I HAD A STRESS TEST, ULTRASOUND OF THE HEART WHICH SHOWED EVERYTHING WAS FINE. BUT IT HAS LEFT ME WITH ALOT OF ANXIETY AND PANIC ATTACKS. I AM ALWAYS THINKING SOMETHING IS WRONG WITH MY HEART. SO I HAD A SECOND OPINION DONE. HE ALSO TOLD ME THE SAME THING. SO HE PUT ME ON A 30 EVENT MONITOR BECAUSE I TOLD HIM I WAS HAVING PALPITATION SOMETIMES.

Avatar f tn t develop a bundle branch block. In addition, because bundle branch block affects the electrical activity of your heart, it can sometimes complicate the accurate diagnosis of other heart conditions, especially heart attacks, and lead to delays in proper management of those problems". Hope this helps, and if you have any further questions, you are welcome to respond. Thanks for your question. Take care.
1132931 tn?1260438609 Right bundle branch block occurs when the electrical impulse from the bundle of His does not conduct along the right bundle branch. Conduction down the left bundle branch proceeds normally, and the interventricular septum and left ventricle rapidly depolarize in the normal fashion. Incomplete bundle branch block rerely indicates underlying heart disease. But, especially when it occurs on the right side (i.e., incomplete RBBB,) it often has no significance at all.
Avatar f tn I am undergoing tests for a left bundle branch blockage after being notified that I have an abnormal EKG. My ECHO and Cardiac Scoring came back good and perfect respectively. My nuclear stress test came back positive. My cardiologist thinks it may be a false positive. I am having a CT of my heart on Monday morning. I have Graves Disease, CVID, and Fibromyalgia, but I am not aware of ever having had a heart attack before.
1166107 tn?1263052991 The left ventricle however, is still normally activated by the left bundle branch and these impulses travel through the left ventricle's myocardium to the right ventricle and activate the right ventricle. Both right and left side chambers are polarized and repolarized at the same time. A partial block may cause a skipped beat or delayed beat. Often not serious, but if serious an implant of pacemaker can correct.
Avatar n tn Incomplete bundle branch block sometimes indicates underlying heart disease. But, when it occurs on the right side (i.e., incomplete RBBB,) it often has no significance at all. So when incomplete bundle branch block is detected it should trigger your Dr. to do a non-invasive search for underlying heart disease (i.e. Echocardiogram, Stress Test). If none is found, then no further tests or treatment is needed. It is usually an incidental finding in an otherwise asymptomatic person.
Avatar f tn It showed Normal Sinus Rhythm with an incomplete BBB (Bundle Branch Block). It also said possible enlarged left atrium due to the p wave being slightly elongated for a short run on the strip. The p wave then went back to normal. The doctor said that it is possible that I was born with a incomplete BBB. She did not suggest any further cardiac work up. I am concerned. Any suggestions? Is this something I should be concerned about?
Avatar m tn These rarely have any significance, especially in an otherwise healthy heart, unlike a left bundle branch block which is more indicative of pre-existing heart disease.
Avatar m tn Hi ,I had my routine medical test and the doctor said i have a Left bundle branch block in my ECG and need to go for 2D echo test .I had my 2D echo test done which came back normal .I am 28 years old and worried about this .I dont have any symptoms .
Avatar n tn After a heart attack, your heart is fragile, and bundle branch block may cause a very slow heart rhythm (bradycardia). A pacemaker will help regulate the heart's rhythm after a heart attack. Not having chest pain is not a reliable source whether or not there is a concomitant heart problem.
10443462 tn?1422038155 How serious is it to have ,, Left bundle branch block " with frequent benign RVOT PVCs? I Had no idea that I also had left bundle branch block with PVCs , my cardiologist has never mentioned it to me ;(( Does this mean I have some kind of heart disease ? Is it dangerous ?
Avatar m tn In RBBB, the interventricular septum (wall separating left and right chambers) is activated normally, and the electrical impulses travel rapidly down the left bundle branch to activate the right ventricle. But because the right bundle branch is blocked, the impulse then must cross the interventricular septum to activate the right ventricle after a short delay. Can cause skipped beats, etc. Not an uncommon event and considered harmless, but can be serious depending on circumstances.
Avatar n tn Back in 06 I had some chest pains and I found out I had an Incomplete Right Bundle Branch Block. I had no idea what this was and I became so worried about it. I had an echo done, stress test and even wore a holter monitor for a day, and they told me all was normal, but I still worry sometimes, is a bundle branch block harmless because I have wierd feelings sometimes in my chest. I also am a weight lifter, and enjoy running. Its always in the back of my mind, am I safe to do these things.
1298588 tn?1330318981 My cardiologist told me that on the last EKG I had done, he had detected a left bundle branch block, a sort of obstruction in the electrical pathways of my heart that could be causing the skipped beats. He wants to do a Holter monitor test and then maybe a cardiac MRI in order to determine how the blockage is affecting my heartbeat. I do the Holter test next week, and he advised me not to worry about it until then. Fat chance of that!
