475555 tn?1469304339 t format properly here, my apologies.) Hi! friends, Medhelpers, and fellow sufferers from hepatitis and the medical profession. In a previous thread, concerned with the reliability of fibrosis tests like biopsy, Fibroscan, Fibrotest, FibroTC, etc., I mentioned a simple fibrosis index I recently discovered called the AST-to-Platelet Ratio Index, or APRI, that can be calculated from blood tests, and which has been shown to have a high level of reliability.
Avatar f tn Our insurance didn't cover a SA and we ended up having to pay $100. You may want to check your insurance because sometimes they will pay for this. I think any RE or Urologist will be able to do the test.
Avatar f tn Pwede. nakailang lipat na ko ng company never naging issue hepa b.
Avatar f tn Our insurance also did not cover our S/A. It cost us $175.00 We live in KY.

I have gone thru 2 IUI cysle with monitoring and fertilty drugs. But no use. Do I am able to be pregnent again? I am also not sure about IVF as it is very expenseve 10K and my insurance do not support it. ALso success rate is 60%. What are the options for me ? I am 36 and my Hubby 40.
7510956 tn?1411671417 Hi and welcome. Feeling healthy and approaching cirrhosis are not exclusive. Many people who have complete cirrhosis which is more advanced than your liver disease feel fine. It is only when cirrhosis becomes advanced that serious complications appear. Having fluid retention (ascites and edema), enlarged collateral veins (varices), etc. Others may have more recent data on Fibrosure. This is what I found...
322099 tn?1210273164 Sorry, I have never heard of an at home SA test. That sure would be great though! Hopefully accurate too.

Avatar f tn Ok mabuti at may tumulong sayo, mahal tlga magkasakit lalo na d2 sa pinas na d mo maasahan health insurance natin haha. Medyo bata p naman ako (30s) so I am trying to eliminate this virus while I am strong.
Avatar f tn //www.varicoceles.com/faq.htm I think I would get another SA so you can compare the two then after that make a Urologist appt like your RE said. I know it's frustrating. I'm sorry! Hopefully if he has a varicocele they can do surgery and you can conceive naturally or by IUI.
Avatar f tn Mahirap laban sa sakit na ito ang depression at saka discrimination dito sa Pinas lalo na sa paghahanap ng work.
948379 tn?1246127070 so i had another ablation and another and another, and now we have figured out during my last ablation that I have 2 SA nodes and hundreds of SV nodes and they keep growing back. I have had no luck with my Docs being able to remove the 2nd SA node its too far over on the left atrium. Has anyone had the same issue with the SV nodes growing back so fast and has anyone had the issue with having 2 SA nodes on seperate sides of the heart?
374593 tn?1257879950 alright, well i just got the actual report back from my dh SA, and I have a few questions about it. We are trying to do our first IUI this cycle (and we are on a rush since i just had my lap for endo, so my RE wants to be aggressive while the window is open after my lap). So it says that the ph is decreased and the motitily and morphology are also decreased... it says my dh normal morphology is 2% (normal is >6%) and the motility for rapid progression is 35 (normal is above 40).
374593 tn?1257879950 So I was wandering about something, while I am recovering from surgery, we were going to get my husband to have an SA, i know your supposed to be abstinent for 2-3 days, but my question is what if its almost two weeks? does that make the numbers skewed? since normally (when I'm not recovering from a surgery) we would never go two weeks without BD! I just dont want to get a false answer as far as that is concerned!! thanks!
Avatar f tn 0.5 and 1.5. That is, an APRI score of less than 0.5 means no or very slight fibrosis, and an APRI score of more than 1.5 means cirrhosis. The intermediate scores approximate the intermediate fibrosis stages. I have now calculated my APRI score for the seven blood tests done between 2006 and now, and the graph of the scores shows a steady progression from early to later stage fibrosis, which is apparently what has happened. That is, I'm a fast progressor (65 years old, geno 1b, etc.).
