Yellow stool, abdominal cramps & diarrhea are signs of giardiasis. You could have caught it on holiday from contaminated food/water (drinking but also swimming in a lake etc), contact with animals, or even kids - they get all kinds of stuff at kindergarten cause they put their fingers in their mouth a lot.
Have your stool checked for giardia. One time might not be enough - it has a certain life cycle and is not always present in stool at the right time.

Your stomach has been ruled out, but I still wonder if there was irritation this may be where the blood is coming from??? Green stool means it is passing thru the intestines too quickly, and yellow indicates gallbladder or liver issues. Did you ask the second GI about the swollen lymph nodes and inflammation? If he went over all your tests he would have seen that you had some symptoms going on, and he should have tested further to find out what is going on.
Doctor did bloodwork for liver functions Hepatitis, and ordered a CT scan (looking for appendicitis). He also collected a urine sample, and ordered a few stool samples--if I remember, he was looking for Shigella and Giardia. All tests were negative, but my AST/ALT counts were slightly elevated. He said that the whole thing might have been viral. A few weeks later, the abdominal pain had gone, and there was no more diarrhea.
Rarely I feel nausea or have to fight it, but of late yes I have hiatul hernia and osophegitis, never had pain but have got a sudden pinch hard for me to say sharp or dull just a pain that when bad causes nausea and i can normally fight that but this is sometimes over powering i fight it but it's just worrying the strength it feels it's like you must vomit and your fighting it with all you have to prevent it.

About a month or two ago, I believe I had strained some muscles while working out. The pain didn't happen right away maybe one or two weeks afterwards. At first it stemmed from my neck, shoulders, and upper back. Soon after I started to feel pain in my chest, both sides right by my armpits, lower back, and abdomen area especially on my right side. The pain is usually sharp. When I do sit for a long period of time, both my right and left sides hurt but more on my right.
Pylori and underwent an antibiotic regiment and have since tested negative. 3 months ago I had an attack and they determined it was appendicitis. I had emergency surgery and lo-and-behold! Still having severe stomach cramps. I have had an upper endoscopy and a colonoscopy. I had some mild erosion in my stomach and intestines. All biopsies were negative. I had an ultrasound of my gallbladder yesterday and the results were negative. I have a HIDA scan coming up next.
later on i found it somewhat hard to use the bathroom .. wen i would go it was either be gas mucus yellow stool yellow diarrhea or half and half .. its alternating ..
right b4 that i would go to the bathroom about 2 to 3 times a day and it would be normal .. and still now i still get those urges to go to the bathroom but instead or the normal way i was used to ..
Stool is yellow when travels throught the intestine fast. Originally, bilirubin that is excreted from the gallbladder into duodenum, is green. When bilirubin within the stool travels through intestine, bacteria change its color first to yellow and then to brown. When stool is traveling fast because of intestinal irritation from any reason, bacteria don't have time to change the color of bilirubin completely, so it remains yellow.
4. Appendicitis goes with nausea, vomiting and raised leukocytes in the blood. Appendicitis is painfull at any time you press on area. Bouncing sign is present: lye down on the back and press deeply sopmewhere on your lower LEFT abdomen, then release the pressure quickly. In peritonitis or appendicitis you should feel a sharp pain on the LRQ area. Peritonitis would also show marked inflammation in the blood.
When I saw the picture there was a handful of black spots, about the size of nickels, maybe bigger, stretching from my lower-right part of my abdomen up under my right rib cage. I was worried this was a collection of tumors but he said it was stool backed up...
Ok...So, I took Magnesium citrate to clean out the blockage (even though I've been having frequent bowel movements while this pressure has been occurring - not sure what's being "blocked" - whatever though.
I have been diagnosed with hemorrhoids so seeing blood in my stool was not that shocking, what was shocking was that it was a lot more blood than usual. After that my stomach started hurt badly like cramps and a couple of hours later it become notable in the belly button area. The pain feels like it is deep in my stomach and it is constant, I am very bloated and burp all the time. It is worse during the morning and night. I have no appetite because I feel so full all the time.
Multiple Normal Stool and blood test run, all negative, including Celiac Spore.
9/25/08: PCP Schedules a consult with an internist; Dr O, who concurs with the need for a Colonoscopy and an EGD, it is scheduled.
Results: Colonoscopy is normal, EGD shows the Peptic Duodenopathy and Intraepithelial Lymphocytosis
Internist referred us to Pediatric Gastro, Dr Z.
For past couple of weeks have been having alternating yellow stool, and yellow diarrhea. And pain lower left abdomin. Went to the ER, they said nothing to worry about. Went to gp doctor, and he ordered stool samples, but will not get results for up to 48 hours.
now have developed occasional chills, once or twice a day. and lite colored foamy urine. Pain in abdomin about a 1-2. on pain scale.
Not every patient presents with the classic symptoms of acute appendicitis, and chronic appendicitis can be very difficult to diagnose. Whatever it is, you need to see a doctor.

So I encountered Hep C and posted positive for the antibodies. However, my pcr test came back negative. My doctor told me my immune system cleared the virus on it's own. She said come back in months to check my liver. So a few days after my results, I started a cleanse for a week ( pill format...senna,cascara sagrada, etc ). I noticed my stool turned a lighter brown....almost yellow. It freaked me out so I stop. I went in to my doc...she told me that was normal with the cleansing.
Developed alternating yellow stool and yellow diarrhea 2 weeks ago. Have submitted stool to testing lab but it takes 48 hours to culture, and then get results.
Now I have dark yellow stool, with what looks like red lines in it, almost like worms.
Does anyone have any ideas. Also a dull pain in my lower left abdomin area. Have been to the dr, just having to sit thru the weekend without getting the results is stressful. Please help.
