My chest x-ray findings were as follows: Heart size is within normal limits. There is questionable vague increased opacity in the right suprahilar region. The left lung is clear. No pleural effusion is identified. No acute osseous abnormality is seen.
Impression: With the clinical history, the possiblility of early pneumonia is not excluded.
Can you tell me whether the fact that there are questionable vague increased opacity means that there is a mass in my lung?
White count was high and X-ray showed probable appendicitis. Admitted to hospital and CT was done. No appendicitis but a 6mm Appendicolith was found and referral to general surgery next week.
There are instances wherein an x-ray is repeated to confirm the presence or absence of findings like densities or haziness. It does not necessarily concludes any disease or condition. To ease any worry, it is best that you have the repeat x-ray done and discuss the results with your doctor. Take care and do keep us posted.
I recently had a chest x-ray for chest tightness and shortness of breath. The x-ray came back normal except the doctor stated in his findings that my interstitium was slightly coarse for my age. What does that mean? I tried doing research about it and all I could find was information about Pulmonary Fibrosis and Hypersensitivity Pneumonia. I am starting to get a little concerned. Any information would be helpful.

I currently smoke a pack of cigarettes a day- have been for 27 years now. How concerned should I be? Should I stop smoking soon? Will this emphysema progress?
Bite the bullet and get to the ER to be checked out. They will take an x ray. My son had issues like this way and it was not his appendix--- it was a problem within his intestines in that he was constipated (even though he did have bm's) and the bowel into his intestines was full of poop acting like a bowel blockage. An enema at the hospital fixed it. But you don't know what is going on until you are seen. So, please go get seen.
Good day! my husband had their yearly physical examination taken, he had his chest x ray last January 2017. My husband has no fever and shows no symptoms of having a TB, yet the result of his x ray stated that there is a presence of reticular and hazy opacities in the right upper lobe. If this is about a lung X-ray or a CT scan,it mentions about Pulmonary Tuberculosis(PTB) in the upper left lung lobe.Nodulohazed density or nodular pattern over X-ray plates may refer to many conditions.Enlarged lymph nodes or a mass,localised consolidation may form such density.So please mention why the test has been done ans what is the specific reason that made you meet a Doc.
I recently went to the doctor during a bad viral infection which was not getting better. He did a chest x-ray and told me I had pneumonia and that he would send my x rays to a radiologist for review (standard practice). I took the antibiotics and felt better. The Radiologist report came back reading as follows: "Lungs demonstrate prominence of interstitial markings bilaterally. This may be on the basis of chronic interstitial changes.
I have a dental appointment tomorrow and I know they may try to give me an x-ray. I'm 16 weeks now and this is my first pregnancy. I went to the dentist earlier this year and they didn't want to do an x-ray because I was in my 1st trimester. Is it really safe to have one done now?
