Common Questions and Answers about Appendicitis x ray

appendicitis

Avatar f tn White count was high and X-ray showed probable appendicitis. Admitted to hospital and CT was done. No appendicitis but a 6mm Appendicolith was found and referral to general surgery next week.
Avatar n tn Bite the bullet and get to the ER to be checked out. They will take an x ray. My son had issues like this way and it was not his appendix--- it was a problem within his intestines in that he was constipated (even though he did have bm's) and the bowel into his intestines was full of poop acting like a bowel blockage. An enema at the hospital fixed it. But you don't know what is going on until you are seen. So, please go get seen.
740419 tn?1309278186 s some follow-up info, I just had an upper GI X-ray w/ small bowel follow-through, and it looks like I have an obstructed appendix (at least partially obstructed, the contrast liquid definitely did not go into it).
Avatar f tn I have a dental appointment tomorrow and I know they may try to give me an x-ray. I'm 16 weeks now and this is my first pregnancy. I went to the dentist earlier this year and they didn't want to do an x-ray because I was in my 1st trimester. Is it really safe to have one done now?
Avatar n tn I have a daughter who doesn't live with me and she has lice will it show up in an x-ray
424839 tn?1268186246 my latest back x ray for some reason the dr's still want me taqking the pain killers saying that I must still be in alot of pain
4734947 tn?1358531198 A couple of days after I still had pain tho it was more in the upper right quadrant. So I went to the ER. the first thing they had me do was an X-ray. They saw what they thought was a blockage in the upper right quadrant. They checked my pee and it came out came out completely normal. Then they took some blood and the only that was abnormal was my MCHC was a little low at 32.4. They were afraid I might have appendicitis so they gave me a C.T.
Avatar f tn He had a chest X-ray to see if it was a muscle or skeletal problem, but the X-ray showed nothing abnormal. We thought it might be gallstones, but assume the X-ray would have showed those and the doctor didn't seem to think that was the problem. He's not overweight, but his cholesterol is a few points high (we've been eating better and exercising more the past few weeks to deal with that). He has no history of gastrointestinal problems.
Avatar n tn Recently I saw a doctor about some lower abdominal pressure. This pressure doesn't really hurt so much as it is annoying and uncomfortable. A description of the feeling is: like a gas moving around or a bowel movement yet no real need to pass gas or use the bathroom. It can also be compared to a feeling of fullness, like after a big meal, yet localized in a small area of my abdomen (lower-right side 2 inches to the right of my belly button).
Avatar m tn while treatment can i continue with my gym???
Avatar n tn I recently had an X-Ray on both my feet as i have had sore heels for the past 2 months and on the report it advises in my right foot Cuboid bone, two sclerotic densities are seen, highly suggestive of bone island. Could you please xplain what is meant by this?
696755 tn?1236016312 It started with pain in my right lower abdomen (like appendicitis). I was brought to the hospital where they did an x-ray and cat-scan of my hip area. The doctors suspected it was appendicitis until they saw the test results- completely normal. About 4 days later my abdominal pain worsened suddenly and I couldn't move my right leg. I went to the hospital again, they did the x-ray and cat scan again of my hip, which were normal. Then they did an ultra sound, which was also normal.
Avatar n tn but i hav had sum severe groin pain last thursday...i visited the hospital a couple of times an i had blood test and x ray done.they saw nuting in the x ray but they said it cud be a possible kidney stone..i also got an ultrasound today an i hav to get an IVP soon..i just hav sum trouble urinating now..i feel to urinate often but wen i do..its not much..But i know i had lifted heavy b4 i got the pain..do you guys think it most likely its was a pulled mucle??Thanks 4 ur replies.
Avatar n tn During each episode, the inflammation markers in his blood rise (ESR 20, CRP 67), but then fall to normal levels after the episode ends. An X-ray showed nothing. A CT scan during an episode showed no problems with the digestive system or any signs of cancer, but did show a pleural effusion in the exact spot where he has the pain. The pulmonologist found no trouble with his breathing when he was tested between episodes. He tested negative for TB. He does not have significant markers for Lupus.
Avatar m tn We went to the ER because we thought it was a possible appendicitis. When they did the X ray, the doc told us that it was the fecal matter and it made sense after being on antibiotics. An enema cured him. That was his story. So, keep your eye on it and for most people this resolves. If you are truly concerned, run it by your doctor.
Avatar f tn Google has a lot of information and much of it wrong. You're living under your parents roof. Call your mom and tell her how badly you are feeling. Severe is something to look into a lot of the time but it would normally persist if it was an appendix issue. My son has a slow bowel. He was having bowel movements but was still constipated. It caused pain and our pediatrician was unsure if it was appendicitis or not. X ray showed it was his own fecal matter blocking his appendix.
Avatar m tn s again so she can at least assign me an x-ray or something. but my question is...Could this be a hernia?? I also should mention, that I commute to my school, and carry tons and tons of materials/books. Could I have caused a hernia? Or something else?? Thanks :) OH! Here's a pic I found on the net..just to show exactly where the pain is :) It's located with the red box. http://i42.tinypic.com/6hrfj5.
Avatar n tn I have several concerns about radiation. While there are a lot of sources that say dental X-rays have minimal radiation, etc. I am still a bit concerned, since I consistently get ill after getting dental x-rays. I was wondering if there was any cap to radiation exposure built into the dental x-ray machines, or whether it was at the dentist's discretion how much radiation was used.
Avatar m tn I recently had a chest X-Ray and was told that everything looked fine. My question is what all would a chest X-ray show? Would it show lung cancer or esophagal cancer? Something is definately wrong wth me but the doctors can't seem to pinpoint anything.
