appendicitis

644974 tn?1312758070 how far along are you? I have been having this HORRIBLE dull pain on my lower side which Dr's on tuesday brushed it off as round ligament pain, I've been suffering with it for a few days now specially when I get up too fast. Its HORRIBLE. I'm 19 weeks. However, it could also be something more serious like appendicitis, so i'd get a second opinion, they should have given you a u/s at the emergency room to rule out appendicitis or kidney stone or something serious like that.
1003498 tn?1263919526 i have been having pain in my lower abdomen for about 10 days. i dont consider it pelvic pain which i have had bouts with only because it is not only in my pelvis. at first i though that it was my birth control because my periods have been all out of whack, but as of the past few days it has been strictly related to gas and bowel movements. i have pain 24/7, but i get really bad sharp pains right before a bowel movement or passing gas.
Avatar f tn 30 am with bad stomach pain (top middle), bloating, and gas. I went the the ER about 6 hours later and received indigestion meds. I felt much better outside of mild abdominal discomfort from gas still. Now the next day my lower right stomach is pretty tender, nowhere else, just lower right side. Should I be worried about appendicitis? Could it be tender from extreme gas and bloating? Thoughts?
Avatar f tn I have not vomited or had diarrhea nor do I have a fever. Do I have appendicitis or is it just gas?
Avatar n tn It could be a number of things, and, if I were you, if it kept up, I would see the doctor and have them do some blood work to rule some things out, sometimes appendicitis can mimic gas pains, it would not hurt to check.
Avatar f tn I have been having pains in my left side of my abdomen below the ribcage. I had an endoscopy and colonoscopy today and they came back normal. I have no desire to eat only 1 meal per day and I have been vomitting up the food when I eat it. The pain does not go away. It is a dull pain. I have had my gallbladder out for years. The docto said he was going to run another test.
Avatar f tn I had a lot of gas with both of my first two children...I would get sharp pains with mine...and gas in my chest. I would talk with your Dr. about something for the gas if you get bad pains...I ended up taking gasx and prilosec for mine. It helped! Good luck!
Avatar f tn So I've been having pains in my lower right stomach... like ovary area. It hurts to cough, sneeze, laugh, sit up, lay down... basically to use any stomach muscles. It started yesterday, I'm almost 17 wks. Is this something I should be concerned about or is it just the round ligament pains I was warned about? I am completely clueless...
Avatar f tn I am 20 years old, and on Friday July 1st I was brought to the hospital after having pains in the right side of my stomach. They started near my belly button then moved around my stomach. While at the hospital I had a blood test, and an ultrasound done to check for appendicitis. And everything came back normal.
Avatar n tn It sounds like the appendix. It can be acute or start out with slight pain and get worse. I would see a doctor.
Avatar f tn He described abdominal pain that sounded like it could be gas or early appendicitis. I told him to take Gas-Ex and lie down. When I got home, he still had the pain, even lying down. I pressed on his abdomen and he had more pain. Didn't really know what I was doing, but just gently pressed around and he moaned. The pain had moved from his umbilicus to more in the right lower quadrant.
Avatar n tn Hello all! I have IBS with constipation. I'm currently going through a more severe episode, so I went to the pharmacy, and the pharmacist suggested stool softener capsules. I bought them, went to wait for the bus, and noticed that on the back it says "Caution: Do not use in the presence of abdominal pain, nausea or vomiting (this refers to signs of appendicitis or inflamed bowel)." Unfortunately, I have had some abdominal pains.
Avatar n tn ulcer/perforation, costochondritis possibly, and maybe an inflammation of stomach/duodenom/upper GI as others mentioned. You'd need to note when this pain usually starts, if it's after you eat a certain food, or if you even get headaches or quite possibly describe the pain on a scale of 1-10, 10 being the worst. I hope you find out what's up, gooduck!
Avatar f tn Could be severe gas pains and constipation, I get severe gas pains that almost drop me, they give me the chills and I feel like I'll pass out then I either get diarrhea or I poo, try drinking 5 bottles of water throughout the rest of time you're awake and see if you can go poo, if you poo and it still hurts like that I'd go to your dr and see if she can help you.
Avatar m tn Hi, I am a 21 year old female. I have been having intense stomach pains for the past 8 months or so. It sets in about 2-3 hours (sometimes as soon as 1 hr) after I eat. The pain can be described as intense burning, like I am hungry. However, I know that I cannot possibly be this hungry all the time, because my diet is quite normal and I am not eating more or less than I should. The pain is localized to my upper abdomen, just underneath my sternum.
Avatar m tn I had a UTI about 2 months ago could i have another? Oh and i feel like i have trappe gas and it travels all over my stomach.
Avatar f tn Like it says, not a pretty subject, but anyways, I have been having really bad pains a little before I have to have a bowel movement. It's not gas, I get those pains quite strongly too tho. I am not constipated either. It's a little scary because don't have the urge to go yet when the pain starts. It's in emy stomach/back, where u would probably expect it to be. I guess I am just wondering if others get this, is it normal, is there anyway to relieve it?
Avatar f tn t, and can spend a lot of time trying. It can also cause gas pains. Children can develop a ulcer and this may be what is wrong with your son. Giving him Maalox is putting a bandaid on the problem, and you want to know what the probblem is. My son had one at 12, it devestated me because I thought an ulcer at 12! But they said it is fairly common. I think he needs to have an endoscopy so they can look inside and view his stomach and find out exactly what is going on.
10314769 tn?1409238579 sharp pain maybe caused by stretching of the ligaments.
1552748 tn?1294211776 it could be gas pains or round ligament pains too. I know sometime I get both of these so bad I'm in tears just trying to move. My dr also told me that sometimes your pubic bone gets inflamed and that causes some awful pain as well. I'm sorry you're going though this...pain during pregnancy is no fun.

Avatar m tn A couple of inches to the right of my naval i have been getting pains over the last 5 weeks. The pain comes on very strong and can range from 3-4 seconds to a few minutes. The frequency of pain also ranges from several times a day to nothing on other days. I have had an Ultrasound done, Xray and blood and urine tests in hospital. All came back negative. I have seen 2 different doctors with 2 different possibilities. I van only say for sure that it is always the same spot the pain shows.
