Common Questions and Answers about Appendicitis vs flu

appendicitis

Avatar n tn On the one hand, if you've got the flu, you're sick and will be sick until you aren't sick anymore. On the other, if you're concerned, a doctor would be much more valuable to you than us. If it were appendicitis, I'd think the pain would be a whole lot more than what you're describing, but if you really think you ever do have that go directly to a doctor, not to a website.

Blood work checked- Mono and crp slightly evalated ( not enough for them to say appendicitis). they gave a popsicle to him that caused him to have increased painin RLQ.

Avatar f tn The doctor had me get a CT scan to see if it was appendicitis, but it turned out to be a ruptured ovarian cyst. my doctor prescribed birth control to keep the cysts from forming. I thought it was a side effect of the pill, which I stopped taking after this incident.

Avatar n tn As far as I know, the most apparent symptom of appendicitis (inflammation of the appendix) is a dull pain in the stomach on the right side, that moves to severe lower right abdominal pain. http://www.webmd.com/digestive-disorders/digestive-diseases-appendicitis The above website explains different symptoms that could accompany appendicitis.
Avatar n tn When I had appendecitis I woke up in pain with a lot of abdominal pressure and was admitted for surgery that day. It felt like I was really constipated or something (sorry TMI), and was nauseous. It sounds like the pain you are having is more likely related to the pcos. I have had ovarian cysts in the past and it felt a lot like what you are describing. I'm not an expert, just my personal experience.
