Common Questions and Answers about Appendicitis symptoms vs menstrual cramps

appendicitis

Avatar f tn It feels like menstrual cramps. I slept like around midnight, and since then I have been waking up a few times with the pain still there. My right leg started hurting but the pain is not that severe, and my right lower back is also in pain. I woke up at 7 a.m this morning and the pain is still there. I do not feel like vomiting or nauseous, and neither have I lost my appetite. I have been with this pain for about 10 hours now, would I happen to be presenting signs of appendicitis?
Avatar f tn Thanks ladies and no they didn't check 4 kidney issues or appendicitis..I'm thinking I was having real bad menstrual cramps bcuz I'm bleeding now and its bright red so AF did arrive so I guess I'm not pregnant..

Avatar f tn I had a recent ER visit for what I thought were sever menstrual cramps (i am prone to having terrible cramps when my menstrual cycle comes around) The pain i was feeling was different than any other cramps i had ever had. I went to the ER and was told that i had a ruptured ovarian cyst that was bleeding, and that i also had a large amount of fluid and blood in my ovary and that I have another cyst.
Avatar n tn I cramped from weeks 5-10 perfectly normal! I'm 36+2 now with a healthy baby boy!
Avatar m tn Doesn't sound like appendicitis - so could be that you need Probiotics. Eat some plain yogurt or take some Acidophilis.
Avatar f tn s just frustrating to understand all the articles and advice about ovulation vs pregnancy vs period! They are all so alike! However, these are my symptoms, I'm just trying to fit where they belong.
1043607 tn?1253236817 ve been having these painful cramps for almost a week now, without vomiting or diarrhea. They almost feel like menstrual cramps - in the back - except for they are higher up, and all through out my midsection. I have never had menstrual cramps that felt like this, and I'm not near my period. I would say it's similar to the feeling you get when you have diarrhea, but I'm going to the bathroom as usual, no constipation either.
Avatar f tn I had Usex on 1/30/2013 and I have all the symptoms of pregnancy (i.e. headache, back pain, nausea, vomiting, bloating, increased urination, cramps (mild and moderate to extreme) , morning sickness (UGH!!!) etc... I took three test all were negative. I had the blood test because my last miscarriage also came back BFN (hpt taken three days after I miscarried but I have pics to prove Im not crazy). I had a doctors visit on 2/22/2012. Blood test came back normal.
Avatar f tn Do contractions ever feel like period cramps? I've been having cramps and low back pain off and on all day could it be small contractions?
Avatar m tn If you took plan B on the last day of your period and that was 12/25 then I would say that you are having side effects of the plan B pill itself. Several other members have reported severe, painful cramps around the ovaries and lower abdomen, back cramps, and you will probably start a "period" again in a few days. That is usually a side effect also. An appendix is usually on the right side of your stomach and you will usually run a high fever with appendicitis.
Avatar f tn Within that week the symptons that I been experiencing were bloating, sore breast and back aches. I recently been experiencing menstrual cramps off and on for three days. Is the menstrual cramps a sign of pregnacy? I am due to take my blood test June 10th 2008. I am praying that this will work. In the beginning, I was kind of disappointed that only one egg fertilized but when I found out that I had a healthy embryo it restored my hope.
Avatar f tn I've had lower abdomen cramps almost all day. They hurt so badly. I'm 16 weeks 4 days. Is this normal? I haven't experienced this at all until today.
7758733 tn?1402589420 Im only 22wks so I read I should begin to feel Braxton hicks soon. What is the difference? I always hear menstrual cramps, but those are just like a dull belly or back ache. So please give me your best description of both Braxton hicks and actual labor contractions!
Avatar m tn I am wishing and crossing my fingers terribly that these are my usual menstrual symptoms -- white discharge, abdominal cramps, irritability, sometimes feeling constipated. What do you say?
10052131 tn?1408085538 Felt like menstrual cramps. Had no bleeding at all. Past two days the cramping stopped completely. I literally feel great! I'm almost 6 weeks. Other than a headache randomly, frequent peeing because of my water drinking, and being bloated, is this normal to feel this great lol. ahhhhh!!
Avatar m tn It really depends on the type of cyst and the size. I've had normal ovulation cysts, benign teratoma cysts (dermoids), and malignant teratoma cysts. The only ones that I ever felt were my first one (malignant teratoma) that was 9 cm and caused dull constipation-like pain due to its size, and my current cyst is a normal 'functional' cyst at 5 cm. I had pain with this cyst that landed me in the ER, most likely because my ovary was hemorrhaging into the cyst.
Avatar f tn I am 18 weeks and have been having menstrual like cramps low in my abdomen on and off, along with discharge daily. (sorry TMI) I've read that these symptoms are normal, but I had low amniotic fluid with my last pregnancy and am just paranoid at this point. Anyone else have these symptoms?
Avatar f tn Cramps change in nature from time to time. The other possibility is your appendix. Google appendicitis symptoms (chronic and not acute) and see if that sounds familiar. If you think it's your appendix, of course it's time to see the doc.
Avatar f tn There several individual reports of inflammatory bowel disease and HLA b27 including appendicitis, and ulcerative colitis While it may be that you have just developed significant dysmenorrhea (menstrual cramps). This can start up around your age when the hypothalamic -pituitary- ovarian feedback loop has matured. The treatment is suppression with the birthcontrol pill and nonsteroidal anti inflammatory drugs such as ibuprofen. It could be that you have endometriosis.
Avatar f tn ve had an ongoing pain in my right lower quadrant, hourly abdominal cramps (below navel) that have acute onset then stop accompanied with a urgent need to evacuate. It seems to get worse at night. This has been going on for four days now. I'm not in agonizing pain, but it's about a 6 out of 10. Evacuation has been slightly productive with largely gas, mucous, blood, and some very loose stool due to the frequency leading to no chance for solid build up. I've lost 2 or 3 lbs.
532984 tn?1521151233 Hi, ladies, I am a newbie here but I need advice from people that I trust most -- NO, not doctors but rather you who have been in the trenches! :) I am a 54 yr old post-menopausal woman and within the past few weeks have experienced a rather sudden onset of early satiety, nausea (no vomiting), abdominal pain and urinary frequency. I've also found myself having breathlessness, but not sure if that's just lack of exercise or not.
Avatar m tn hi. i have horrible, horrible menstrual cramps. because i also get very bad headaches, i do not tolerate the birth control pill. i don't know what to do. neither do my gynecologists. i have tried all of the main anti-inflammatories and even narcotics, but nothing seems to work. there is nothing wrong with my reproductive system or anything, i just get horrible, horrible cramps.
