Appendicitis symptoms when to call doctor

Common Questions and Answers about Appendicitis symptoms when to call doctor

appendicitis

Avatar f tn I was told there is no reason to call your doctor unless you have a fever or you can't keep water down and are at risk for dehydration. There won't be anything your doc can do otherwise. There is nothing to be done for a normal stomach virus and antibiotics are only used for an infection which would have an accompanying fever. Just ride it out!
Avatar f tn Might have to go to the emergency room is this something u had before i don't know much about the appendicitis but the symptoms are pretty similar to pregnancy symptoms but with u being so far I'm not sure about the vomiting part I never threw up with any of mine maybe just call the doctor key him know your concerns and see what they suggest
Avatar m tn Chills Constipation Diarrhea Fever Nausea Shaking Vomiting Signs and tests If you have appendicitis, your pain will increase when the doctor gently presses on your lower right belly area. If you have peritonitis, touching the belly area may cause a spasm of the muscles. A rectal exam may find tenderness on the right side of your rectum.
Avatar f tn I called off work today, and I have tomorrow off if I need it. The doctor said not to go to the doctor until I actually have a temp above 100. Do i just need rest? Or am I in need of the doctor?
Avatar f tn First time mommy, so always worried! I'm 26w3d and so far smooth sailing. I'm just wondering when would it be a good time to call the doctor if you haven't felt the baby in awhile? I always feel my little boy at least every two hours, so I'm just trying to take precautions in case something goes wrong.

Avatar m tn It subsides after a couple of hours and there are no residual symptoms. No fever, etc. only very localized LRQ pain. It hurts to walk and I must sit down with great care, I have performed some of the tests for appendicitis such as lying supine with my right leg bent and pushing over to the left...this results in much pain. Having been an EMT for many years I understand this could be appendicitis, however, I am confused about the pain free lapses.
559187 tn?1330782856 If you still feel this way tomorrow, please call your doctor and discuss getting something (steroids as I understand it) to treat the inflammation.
Avatar m tn You may have a cyst on your ovary? See your dr. if it doesn't stop hurting.
Avatar m tn He then took a screening CT in the lab and gave the report as Chronic appendicitis with 7mm thickness. Ficolith inside the appendicitis and advised to remove it whenever you feel free but not an emergency. The Gastroenterologist was not convinced and he asked me to take a Contrast enhanced CT. But the local doctor said it is not necessary and i don't have any acute episode and there is no such Chronic appendicitis.
Avatar n tn I have been to COUNTLESS doctors and specialists - had a laparoscopy - and found a very small amount of endometriosis but not enough (according to my doctor) to cause "concern" and my doctor isn't 100% convinced that is causing the pain. Like many of you - I am tired of not having ANY answers to what this MYSTERY "weirdo side pain" as I call it that happens like clockwork every month. Wasn't sure if anyone had similar symptoms?
Avatar n tn On the one hand, if you've got the flu, you're sick and will be sick until you aren't sick anymore. On the other, if you're concerned, a doctor would be much more valuable to you than us. If it were appendicitis, I'd think the pain would be a whole lot more than what you're describing, but if you really think you ever do have that go directly to a doctor, not to a website.
Avatar f tn s name, your phone number and your description of the problem. Then whichever doctor is on call will call you when they have a chance and let you know what to do.
191963 tn?1251929996 Ok, so here's the deal. I have been having some symptoms that are starting to worry me, but I don't want to call the doctor if I don't need to....I am on my 5th pregnancy, so you would think that I should know these things, but for some reason, I just am stumped. I have been vomiting like crazy, and it's not really regular vomiting, it's like projectile vomiting. I do still get nauseous every single day, but yesterday is when I started puking like that.
Avatar n tn Thought it was my appendicitis. Hurt to breathe, hurt to move, hurt to cough, laugh, just amputation killed me to sneeze. Thats how I found out I was pg they wanted to do tests but had to make sure I wasn't pg 1st & viola I was. I was only 2 1/2 weeks tho & I was spotting. (I did end up miscarrying tho later.
Avatar f tn There is no set age for when a doctor has to remove an appendix. It all depends on the condition of the appendix. In that I mean if an appendix ruptures it has to come out regardless of the persons age. If you had yours removed, yes there would be a scar from the operation.
