appendicitis

Avatar f tn i am a 22 yr old girl, unmarried, i was having continuous pain for 2 days in my lower abdominal. today morning at 5 i had swear pain i went to the doc, they asked me for blood test, urine test n ultrasound, urine test showed some sign of appendix but ultra sound didnt, they sent me home n gave some pain killers! now i am developing the same pain again after about 20 hours, so i want to ask can it be appendicitis even if ultrasound doesnt show it?
Avatar m tn In case of ureter stone, urine usually shows infection and ultrasound is diagnostic, pain is usually radiating in nature. Well colon pain is colicky or dull in nature, do you have recent history of diarrhea?
Avatar f tn Appendicitis is not always easy to diagnose. Describe how the symptoms came on. When my ex got sick one day while I was at work, he called me. He described abdominal pain that sounded like it could be gas or early appendicitis. I told him to take Gas-Ex and lie down. When I got home, he still had the pain, even lying down. I pressed on his abdomen and he had more pain. Didn't really know what I was doing, but just gently pressed around and he moaned.
Avatar f tn Now I'm also having to frequently urinate with little urine coming out. The pain has moved from the spot next to my asis to more in the middle and a little lower, about right above where the pelvic bone starts. Its also a little tender in this area when I push on it or lay on my stomach. I'm hoping its kidney stones and not appendicitis. Any advice is welcome!
Avatar n tn Ive been having severe pain in my right side of my belly since yesterday, when i cough i feel like someone has pulled my insides out! Its soooo bad i cant walk properly, ive been sick, i dont feel like eating, feeling soo faint aswell (19 weeks pregnant) any ideas? Ive been told possible appendicitis but also could be a number of things! Any clue?
Avatar n tn re very young for this to be cancer. Have they checked you for appendicitis? It causes pain to go down your leg, and pain between your ovary area and navel. I have never heard of anyone having sciatica pain with colon cancer, I think this was more of a coincidence with the lady you speak of. A blood test would tell your doctor if this is appendicitis. I have seen cases where it lasts quite awhile before becoming really inflammed.
5154898 tn?1374773319 OK, I've been worried sick since about 4 days ago. It all started when i had a muscle spasm beside my belly button (right side), it lasted a whole day. I woke up the next day with a dull pain in the same spot, nothing really painful, just enough to worry me. Now, my lower front (right side), my right side and back on the right side has been aching.
Avatar f tn I yelped out of pain. She said I might have appendicitis, and told us to go to the hospital to get a check up. We did, and they took blood tests and urine tests; It came out negative for appendicitis, but positive for UTI. The doctors gave me antibiotics for it, I took it religiously. Now, I still have this reoccurring pain on my stomach and abdomen area.
Avatar m tn They can move, cause pain and again remain in a position for long periods of time. Similarly chronic appendicitis too can behave this way with bouts of pain, localization of infection and inflammation and a symptom free period. Crohn’s disease, diverticulitis, infection in kidney, constipation, and an abscess in rectus abdominis muscle or psoas muscle can all cause lower right abdomen pain. An ultrasound or CT scan of abdomen is definitely required. Hope this helps.
Avatar f tn Could it still be appendicitis? I have almost no pain, just a little pressure on the right side. I’m just worried of an appendix rupture.
Avatar f tn I went to the doctor and he did a blood test, urine test, and ct scan. my blood count was fine but the urine test came back with blood in it. the ct scan said everything was fine. the doctor said that nothing was wrong with me. I am in so much pain that i can barely move. my stomach is swollen to the point that my belly button is closed. i know something is wrong. can anyone help???

Avatar m tn s probably not appendicitis, and in fact I woke up the next day and the pain was gone until I started going about my day and the pain seemed to come back with daily activities. I became concerned again, thinking now it may have been a kidney infection and decided to check myself into the urgent care. They took a urine sample, blood work, and did an X-ray of my lower right abdomen, they said everything looked normal, and the sent me home.
Avatar m tn About five months ago, I had lower right side pain that lasted a couple days, and after several tests (including CT), the doctor said all I had were swollen lymph nodes and after a series of antibiotics, I was fine (no appendicitis). Well, the pain is sort of back and it has been for a couple of days. The pain is not constant nor severe. It really is kind of a pressure-type pain for a couple of seconds and then dissipates.
Avatar f tn HI, Right lower quadrant pain can be due to ovarian cyst or appendicitis. The intermittent nature of the pain is typical of appendicitis. However it can also be found when the ovarian cyst undergoes torsion. The fever suggests the possibility of infection. Hence it would be best to see your Doctor again. Once a correct diagnosis is made the appropriate treatment can be initiated. The answer is based on information provided.
5441042 tn?1368009773 Its not a bad pain, its more anoying if anything. It has been happening the week before my period for a couple months now. The pain in my side has went away but now I have a very mild pain beside my belly button, it feels like ive hit it. It doesn't feel like it is inside my stomach but on my skin or just beloe my skin like in my fat tissue. No fever, or loss of appetite. Dont have diarrhea or trouble passing gas or anything like that.
Avatar m tn A couple of inches to the right of my naval i have been getting pains over the last 5 weeks. The pain comes on very strong and can range from 3-4 seconds to a few minutes. The frequency of pain also ranges from several times a day to nothing on other days. I have had an Ultrasound done, Xray and blood and urine tests in hospital. All came back negative. I have seen 2 different doctors with 2 different possibilities. I van only say for sure that it is always the same spot the pain shows.
Avatar m tn He felt around for my hernia, took note of my symptoms, and said that my hernia was basically healed and that he thought that I could have appendicitis. This came as a surprise. He said that if the pain got any worse within the next day or two, or if the pain didn't go away at all, then we should go into the ER. The pain got slightly worse and a lot more frequent within the next 2 days so we decided not to risk it and go into the ER.
Avatar m tn The pain may not be related to the liver. Pain in the lower right quadrant can be due to appendicitis. The other symptoms for Appendicitis are fever, nausea, vomiting and malaise. It may not be picked up by imaging modalities. The other causes for pain could be urinary tract infection, renal colic and sometimes bowel infections. It could also be due to diverticulitis, Chron's disease, ulcerative colitis and parasitic infections.
Avatar n tn Hello! I have joined this community in the hope that someone can help me! I am a female, 25 years old and I have been suffering from abdominal pain for years. The pain is usually in the right side, mid-way between my bellybutton and my hip. At times the pain is sharp and stabbing and causes me to double over in pain - I would give it a 7 out of 10 for intensity. Other times the pain on my right side is dull and aching, and sometimes this is replaced with a burning sensation.
Avatar m tn The symptoms you described could sometimes be due to appendicitis, that’s when you have pain on the right side just above the pelvis and you may also have referred pain around the umbilicus (belly button). The other symptoms for Appendicitis are fever, nausea, vomiting and malaise. The other causes for pain could be urinary tract infection, renal colic and sometimes bowel infections like. Stool analysis, urine analysis and imaging studies may help diagnose these conditions.
Avatar f tn I dint think they treat for appendicitis. Although isnt appendicitis ridiculously painful? Mine is a cramping in my pelvis and alot of discomfort and bloating in my abdomen. Another 2lb gone overnight! A total of 16lb loss in 4 weeks!
Avatar n tn he said i should consult specialist but when i told him that i had an open surgery for appendicitis he said this might be the reason and i should wait 1 month more and do urine analysis again if again positive consult specialist afterwords. My question is presence of protien in urine is due to surgery or not and should i consult my surgeon or specialist immediately.
Avatar m tn Having been an EMT for many years I understand this could be appendicitis, however, I am confused about the pain free lapses. I live in the middle of no where with poor hospitals about 2 and a half hours away. I am hesitant to spend 5 hours in an ER and then having no pain when I am finally seen. Does it make sense to have classic appendicitis symptoms that go completely away for a few days at a time over a 3 month course?
