1 week later, her pain moved about 3 inches to the right and down an inch. Looks like appendicitis to me. Dr sent us for another sonogram. Nothing. This past week we were back in the ER as her pain was severe - we tried a different ER. More blood work, and a CT scan. Everything was normal. She is now upstairs crying in pain - she says it's just about a 10 on a scale of 1-10. I think it's appendicitis - any thoughts? Any other ideas? Please hurry.
I would most definitely get another opinion. My aunt had all kinds of pain, the docs said it was nothing, so she kept waiting, finally, it got so bad, she was sick to her stomach, could hardly walk, etc. We took her to the ER again, and this time they admitted her, they still said it was nothing, they told her it was cancer of some female part, geesh.
Last night I started having a dull pain on the right side of my abdomen, across from my belly button, it went away today but came back around lunch time. It went away again and now at 2am it has come back. I pressed on my stomach a bit and it send a shooting pain through my belly button area. Its not SUPER painful, just more of a discomfort. I've also started urinating WAY more in the past hour and I'm not sure if its related but my knees began aching REALLY bad out of nowhere.
I also have this pulsating around my belly button and it will shoot down to the right side then give me back pain. I also have headaches and have gotten easily hot and overheated during the night. I know im not pregnant because ive testes and JUST came off my period and it was normal. Could this be my apendix? UTI? I had a UTI about 2 months ago could i have another? Oh and i feel like i have trappe gas and it travels all over my stomach.
I went to the doctor and he said it is probably related to the PCOS. He has me on Metformin along with my Victoza. I hope it goes away soon. However, just today I realized I have my second kidney stone.
I went to get blood work done because my cousin which is a Doctor wanted to rule out an appendicitis. The WBC count came back at 10.1 where the normal range for that laboratory I believe was from 5 to 10. My cousin said that is not significant enough to point towards appendicitis. My lymphocte percentage was low at 20.3 percent, and my mean platelet volume was also low 6.8. What really has me concerned though is that my blood sed rate came back at 32mm/h which is high.
I was having severe lower right quadrant pain in my abdomen. They thought it might be appendicitis, but my CT scan came back normal. They said I didn't have a fever and wasn't really vomiting so they weren't going to do anything. They couldn't figure out what was wrong and sent me home with pain medicine, and told me to follow up with my family physician.
Tuesday I went to a different ER because it had gotten about twice as bad; same pain, only worse.
Without being able to review your entire history it will not be possible to give you an exact answer, but generally speaking appendicitis should always be considered in the differential diagnosis (list of possible causes) of abdominal pain. However, I would not restrict the list to only appendicitis.
The typical presentation begins with periumbilical pain (pain around belly button) followed by anorexia (lack of appeitite) and nausea.

I have joined this community in the hope that someone can help me! I am a female, 25 years old and I have been suffering from abdominal pain for years. The pain is usually in the right side, mid-way between my bellybutton and my hip. At times the pain is sharp and stabbing and causes me to double over in pain - I would give it a 7 out of 10 for intensity. Other times the pain on my right side is dull and aching, and sometimes this is replaced with a burning sensation.
I'm 28 weeks, first baby. My old boss wants me to come back to work for the holiday season, only a few hours a week. I'm due January 7th and would quit the last day of December. Any thoughts on working up till almost your due date?
I am almost 20 weeks and I am a teacher. I just started back to school last week and my feet, legs, and back are killing me by the end of the day. Do you ladies have any recommendations for comfy shoes or insoles? I don't want to wear sneakers every day and my work shoes that used to be comfy are no longer working for me.
Welp! Im 9 weeks today and feeling wonderfully nauseous! Wish me luck as I go back to work..aka wrangle kindergartners in their first day of school! Time to bring out the mits for the criers, the wild ones, and the clueless ones!! I do love my job bc at the end of the day they will be exhausted with smiles!!!
i feel improvement in the pain level (it was really bad up to 2 days ago) but the sores are not completely gone and i still feel some pain and discomfort. Could going back to work (that is obviously physical and involved friction and sweat) on Monday (today is Saturday) before full recovery cause worsening of the symptoms?
I had my wee one two weeks ago and I'm going back to work today. How did you guys manage? I'm tore up I haven't even made it to work yet. I already miss her.
Hello Ladies! I am going back to work on Monday after 2 weeks off. I am a teacher and was feeling a little miserable before break, but spent the last 2 weeks with all day sickness, mostly resting at home. Just wondering if anyone has tips on how to manage the sickness while working?? Im almost thru the 1st trimester and am really hoping the sickness will disappear soon. Any tips or ideas are appreciated!

I am 3 weeks post-op. Scheduled to go back to work Jan.11, but I'm really nervous about returning. I get exhausted taking a shower, and too much movement puts me back in bed still with pain. I don't know if I'm just being a wuss or if I'm really not ready. Hoe long did others take to return to work? BTW, I am a teacher, so its on my feet I'm high stress when i return.
I go back to work tomorrow after being off for months..... but im feeling really confused. I know it will probably be good for me to have adult time, but im so sad to leave my lil guy. Im only working 4 days a week but even that feels like too much.... he changes so much all the time that im scared im gonna miss out.... does anyone have any advice about going back to work??? How do u guys deal with leaving your lil ones??
