301640 tn?1302652334 thanks for that yep it feels tender anddoes still hurt i will go this afternoon
Avatar n tn My 9yr son just was in ER for right lower quad. pain, rebound tenderness, low grade fever, vomited x1, not wanting to eat very much. Initally thought was getting the stomach flu until he didn't persist with the vomiting or had diarrea. In ER Abdominal XRAY was done- results large amount of stool and gas on right side. Blood work checked- Mono and crp slightly evalated ( not enough for them to say appendicitis). they gave a popsicle to him that caused him to have increased painin RLQ.
Avatar m tn Do you have rebound pain ot tenderness (meaning when you press in the area it dosent hurt but when you let go it does) It could be either and inflamation areound your appendix or an appedicitis...do you have fever or vomiting?
Avatar m tn I have a kidney stone problem(2-3 mm), 1 overian cyst and colonical tenderness in paraumbillical region. Have a pain near right side of navel. Not able to recognize because of which problem I am having this type of pain. Is this because cyst, stone or colonical tenderness? Please suggest.
Avatar m tn Over the past two or three days I have had a slight discomfort in my right groin/side. I went to the doctor today, and after blood and urine came back normal, she said that I still might have appendicitis and said I might want to get a CT, though I don't show normal symptoms other than pain in my RLQ. The pain isn't constant and it isn't severe and hasn't really gotten any worse.
Avatar m tn About five months ago, I had lower right side pain that lasted a couple days, and after several tests (including CT), the doctor said all I had were swollen lymph nodes and after a series of antibiotics, I was fine (no appendicitis). Well, the pain is sort of back and it has been for a couple of days. The pain is not constant nor severe. It really is kind of a pressure-type pain for a couple of seconds and then dissipates.
1852495 tn?1319545790 Thanks for the reply. I've considered the appendicitis idea. Tried to see if I had the rebound tenderness they have talked about but didn't get it. I'm not pregnant. Had a TL 11 years ago and they did do the test to rule out ectopic pregnancy. I just wish the doctor would have a least tried to figure it out rather than treat me like I'm crazy.
Avatar m tn hi im really worried i have appendicitis, i had diarrhea for 3 days, and now after all of that my lower right and lower left sides have a dull, tenderness to them, its not severe pain but im worried it might become severe. the more i think and read abut it the more it hurts. above my belly button hurt when touched as well, i do not have a fever, and i have not been vomiting, but once in a while my stomach feels like there s a dull kick in those three areas.
Avatar f tn I have lower abdominal pain, constipation, 99° temp, nausea, but no rebound pain. I’ve had this since saturday and it’s just getting worse. should i go to the doctor or just wait?
Avatar f tn Hello~I would watch and wait. If it continues to hurt or gets worse, then certainly see your GP or go to the ER. Some other things to check for if you are worried about it being your appendix, if you start to get nauseous when eating, and if when pressing your tummy, it hurts when you release the press, (that is called "rebound pain").
Avatar m tn Ok I'm completely confused about what just happened to me. 2 days ago I went to school perfectly fine, evening came around and felt normal. The following morning at about 6 AM I woke up with quite a bit of pain in my lower right abdominal area. I had no injuries the prior day. I had a bowel movement before leaving my house but the pain did not go away. I had an exam that day to get my Forklift certification and the pain got so bad I could not focus.
Avatar n tn Unless the area is swollen and severely infected the tenderness may be noted when the skin is palpated. The pain of appendicitis is severe and may be influenced by movement and certain positions. I suggest immediate consult with your doctor.
Avatar f tn ve been passing gas a bit which relieves me a bit but the achy pain is still there. I went to my doctor today and she pressed everywhere on my stomach and it didn't hurt (the rebound thing) Should I go to the doctors again or rest it if it's a pulled ab muscle? I haven't experienced any other symptoms of appendicitis but I'm still freaking out over it so much that I just want to get it removed.
Avatar m tn Been dizzy and tired a lot. No rebound pain like appendicitis. But it does hurt to press on. Should I go to ER? I don't have insurance. My OBGYN wants to be paid up front for an ultra sound and I can't afford it. What could it be and what should I do? I'm 30 yrs old with a 2 1/2 yr old and a 5 month old. Miserable and tired of hurting. Also, my periods bleed more but don't hurt any worse.
Avatar f tn If you are laying on your back and press on the sore spot and you get a sharp pain when you press and it even hurts as you release pressure it could be appendicitis. Your pain may be unrelated to your pregnancy. Did they rule out appendicitis or even ovarian cyst or maybe even gas?
Avatar m tn Given that my pains are not concentrated in the right and not that intense, does it seem unlikely to ne appendicitis? Could appendix symptoms drag on this long (it's coming up for a week). The pain has got no worse and if anything seems to be improving. Also, would appendicitis symptoms usually go after eating a meal? I'm extremely anxious and worried right now. Appreciate any advice!
Avatar f tn Ive also had several different blood and urine tests to look for infections, kidney stones and thyroid problems etc.. I did have a colonoscopy approx. 5 years ago which was fine and I had an endoscopy about 3 years ago. I do have acid reflux and in the past had hemmoroids, I'm otherwise very healthy and fit. There is a history of Diverticulitis in my family.
1305767 tn?1361192676 I have had several patients with localized colitis (crohns disease, ulcerative colitis); chronic appendicitis, right sided diverticulitis, and even cancers (lymphoma and colon cancer--but usually over the age of 40) with similar symptoms. If you are worried, I recommend requesting a consultation with a gastroenterologist who will give you a second opinion and if concerned order the appropriate tests (CT scan and or colonoscopy).
Avatar m tn t necessarily rule out appendix issues either - The symptoms of appendicitis can vary. It can be hard to diagnose appendicitis in young children, the elderly, and women of childbearing age. The first symptom is often pain around your belly button. (See: Abdominal pain) The pain may be minor at first, but it becomes more sharp and severe. Your appetite will be reduced and you may have nausea, vomiting, and a low fever.
Avatar n tn I went to the emergency room again and they finally did a scan and discovered that it was chronic appendicitis. If I were you, next time it happens I would refuse to leave until they gave you a scan.
1927233 tn?1326670387 I was in the hospital the past couple of days because they thought I might have appendicitis, but ultrasounds and CT scans were normal except some free flluid so they said I had a virus in my intestines (???). I had something similar a year ago when I was in Bolivia, they said it should pass on its own but to report back if things got worse.
