Common Questions and Answers about Appendicitis symptoms rebound pain

appendicitis

Avatar m tn I have had intermittent LRQ pain for about 3 months becoming more frequent in nature. It is intense, level 9, with rebound severe pain. It subsides after a couple of hours and there are no residual symptoms. No fever, etc. only very localized LRQ pain. It hurts to walk and I must sit down with great care, I have performed some of the tests for appendicitis such as lying supine with my right leg bent and pushing over to the left...this results in much pain.
Avatar m tn I have pain on my left abdomen (upper left waist to be exact), the pain is rebound tenderness. It started around December of 2009, so it’s already been with me for almost 5 month. The severity of the pain changes, from a scale of 1-10, is anywhere from 2-7.
Avatar f tn thank you so much!
Avatar f tn So currently not having major pain just slight discomfort in that area I was thinking could this be from the rough night I had due to drinking or so I go and check it out was kind of worried when I saw that it could be something pretty dangerous left untreated but I was also thinking if it was appendicitis I would probably be feeling alot more pain.
Avatar f tn I have lower abdominal pain, constipation, 99° temp, nausea, but no rebound pain. I’ve had this since saturday and it’s just getting worse. should i go to the doctor or just wait?
Avatar f tn I have no fever or anything like that, nor am I having the typical rebound pain or any pain in my right lower stomach. It seems that the pain moves when I change position if that makes sense. Usually when I sit it moves in the lower area of my belly button, and when I lay down it moves to the upper area of my belly button. My stomach is constantly making gurgling noises and it feels like there are gas bubbles inside of me. I am really, really scared that something serious is going on with me.

Avatar m tn Been dizzy and tired a lot. No rebound pain like appendicitis. But it does hurt to press on. Should I go to ER? I don't have insurance. My OBGYN wants to be paid up front for an ultra sound and I can't afford it. What could it be and what should I do? I'm 30 yrs old with a 2 1/2 yr old and a 5 month old. Miserable and tired of hurting. Also, my periods bleed more but don't hurt any worse.
Avatar n tn My 9yr son just was in ER for right lower quad. pain, rebound tenderness, low grade fever, vomited x1, not wanting to eat very much. Initally thought was getting the stomach flu until he didn't persist with the vomiting or had diarrea. In ER Abdominal XRAY was done- results large amount of stool and gas on right side. Blood work checked- Mono and crp slightly evalated ( not enough for them to say appendicitis). they gave a popsicle to him that caused him to have increased painin RLQ.
Avatar m tn Over the past two or three days I have had a slight discomfort in my right groin/side. I went to the doctor today, and after blood and urine came back normal, she said that I still might have appendicitis and said I might want to get a CT, though I don't show normal symptoms other than pain in my RLQ. The pain isn't constant and it isn't severe and hasn't really gotten any worse.
Avatar m tn No real rebound tenderness. If there is any pain when I press in, it is while I am pressing in and just a couple of seconds afterwards, but if there is no pain, there isn't really any rebound pain. No vomiting at all and no fever (I just got a 98.9 on my thermometer).
306245 tn?1244384967 No ther is no fever no vomitting, no pain in the lower right quadrient. there is no rebound I can touch it without hurting him and when it hurts he slows down, ans last for about 2 hours MAX. then he is right back to running and playing and as happy as can be, he does now have a cough and this has been maybe not a week, and it is the center lower part of his belly just obove his pubic bone.

1207048 tn?1282174304 I have only had Solu-Medrol treatment twice for my symptoms. Both of them I took the taper pills afterward. I didn't get rebound symptoms the first time I had it. I am on the taper pills now for the second time, so I don't know yet if I will have rebound symptoms. I sure hope not!! lol I do know that I am cautious with steroids. I do not take them lightly. They can do some major damage to your body (definitely to your kidneys) that cannot be taken back.

Avatar m tn Abdominal pain) The pain may be minor at first, but it becomes more sharp and severe. Your appetite will be reduced and you may have nausea, vomiting, and a low fever. This most often occurs 12 to 24 hours after the illness starts.

After 15 days still the symptoms continued occasionally and a went to a Gastroenterologist who advised to take Taxim-O an antibiotic. I took it for 5 days. Avatar m tn I have this pain in the lower right region of my abdomen, Its not a pain in which I cannot walk but there is a pain there. I went to get blood work done because my cousin which is a Doctor wanted to rule out an appendicitis. The WBC count came back at 10.1 where the normal range for that laboratory I believe was from 5 to 10. My cousin said that is not significant enough to point towards appendicitis. My lymphocte percentage was low at 20.3 percent, and my mean platelet volume was also low 6.8.
Avatar n tn It started to get a little more bothersome around my period. I thought it was appendicitis at one point because i fell over in so much pain that i could not even stand straight up.
