Avatar f tn One skin specialist told me it was from not cleansing properly, one GP said it was an allergic reaction and gave me antihistamines, another GP said it was Roscea and another said it was a form of Acne or Ezcema! I am taking a low dosage of Vibromysin which is meant to be a good antibiotic for skin/acne but these back spots are now getting worse. Has anyone had anything like this? They never seem to go beyond my back or my forehead.
Avatar m tn Perscribed me with cream for the bump, and a different cream for my acne troubles. She said the reason it is not scabies is because there was no itchyness or nothing on my hands. At about 10pm I started to notice tons of little tiny red dots on my thighs that appears out of no where, and some on my knuckles. It might just be dry skin in my just be a heat rash but they showed up quicklly, and are just about everywhere and I mean everywhere.
Avatar n tn I have 3 red bumps, 2 that seem un-itchy and healed which are on my thigh close to my groin, and 1 that is actually just at the very base of my genitalia (near my thigh), all three are somewhat close and look similar, the one on my genitalia (if i were to pull my testicles up it would be undernear them at the far right corner) itches a bit, i put anti-itch cream on it and its fine. Could this be spider bites? i've been sleeping in a basement.
Avatar n tn I had a consulted a doctor who told me not to worry and advised me to apply some cream. What is the reason and why am I getting this problem? Is it because of sex or heat? Kindly advise me some good medicine and also let me know the reason why these boils are erupting on the penis? What care should I take?
Avatar f tn Hello, It can be due to contact dermatitis to the Benzamycin cream or fixed drug eruption due to the topical cream. FDE or fixed drug eruption may fade slowly and so may take a long time to go away. Although they resolve spontaneously but an oral antihistamine (e.g., hydroxyzine) and a topical corticosteroid may be needed. I would suggest you to consult a dermatologist and get it evaluated.
Avatar n tn You can take some OTC oral antihistamine medications like Benadryl or Claritin and see if it helps. For mild-moderate symptoms a weak steroid may be used, whilst more severe cases require a higher-potency steroid. But they are available under prescription and should be taken only after consulting a dermatologist. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided.
Avatar n tn I had a facial and chemical peel 5 days ago and also used and acne cream 1 day after, i now have what appears to be a chemical burn: redness, itching, swelling, rash, thick skin. This has been going on for 5 days does not seem to get better, what could I do. This discussion is related to Allergic reaction?? Chemical Burn? What to Do?.
Avatar f tn ve had once about a year ago as well. I have mild to moderate acne on my face. I do get nodular/cystic acne, mostly along the jawline, around my ears. Occasionally I get it on my forehead or chin area. Generally I just use an acne cleanser usually twice per day and deal with it. Well a month or so ago my skin started breaking out a little more than normal. I had made no change to any skin care or makeup or anything. As a result I started to look for some new care products for acne, etc...
476624 tn?1207849958 Hi! I am hoping someone can help me figure it out or if somebody has the same issue... i am in my mid 30's married mom to 2 young girls - had few to moderate issue w/ acne during my teenage years (got better after mid 20's). Here it goes, I noticed this event everytime i attempt to exfoliate my face with heavier alternative (aha/glycolic acid peel/ etc) - i am attempting to have a supple, youthful, even tone skin and lessen wrinkle appearance.
Avatar n tn He is also not circumcised and it is very itchy and sometimes painful and it is sensitive. He was told that it was jock itch and the cream that they gave him is not working. I bought some vagisil type cream and he says that it helps but only for a little while. We were tested for everything and all STD's were ruled out. Does anyone know what this is and if there is anything that might help him.
Avatar f tn It's not itchy, and not sore, that's why I thought it was a cyst like what Alan Rockoff, MD describe in the post http://www.medhelp.
Avatar f tn You can try washing well and keeping dry, change your bra to a different brand/style, maybe try an over-the-counter antihistamine cream, no improvement would warrant a check by a doc.
Avatar n tn Now I am getting a red acne like rash under my arm pit in addition to this hand and foot irritation. I think they are food allergy related?
Avatar m tn Hi, This could be due to acne/pimples/ or infection of the hair follicles called folliculitis or some bacterial infection/ fungal infection or some skin nodules etc. Nothing can be said with surety without having a look at the lesions. It would be best to reconsult your doctor about your symptoms if they do not resolve and get a proper clinical examination. Keep the area clean and wear clothes washed in a few drops of chlorhexidine preferably and dried in the sun.
Avatar f tn I am a 22 year old female and I have some issues. Let me start with my longest running problem... For a few years now, I have had a strange skin condition on both of my knees and have recently acquired what I think is the same thing on the knuckle of one of my fingers. These three specific spots will itch and eventually develop into a hard surface that seems like a scab. What is strange is that there are times when the scab thing will go away for a while, but then come back.
Avatar n tn Apply OTC benzoyl peroxide to the face to reduce the oiliness. Apply an antibiotic cream such as erythromycin (erytop) and vitamin A based cream on pimples. Avoid eating oily stuff and Drink 3-4 liters of water a day. Hope this helped and do keep us posted.

Avatar m tn Hi there. For about the past year or so I've had a recurring rash on my jaw. At it's worst, it's very itchy, bumpy and red, sometimes dry. It's always there, but only really flares up every couple weeks and last for a few days. It's always in the same isolated spot on my right jaw. When it isn't flared up, you can still see it, but it doesn't itch, isn't bumpy and is a lighter shade of red.
Avatar f tn I was told it was pupps and was given a prescription for an antihistamine and some cream. The cream burns when I apply it and the antihistamine I am uncomfortable taking as it says not to take the in the 3rd trimester on the information. But without it I get so itchy what do I do?
Avatar f tn It itches like crazy and Benadryl is not working well for this. I have tried a hydrocortisone cream, benadryl cream and spray as well as some anti fungal creams. I have even tried the old trick of corn starch on the area. I am getting quite concerned about this but am in between docs at the moment. This has been an issue for 3 weeks now. It is itching so badly that I am scratching the skin open. It hurts to touch this area, but does not hurt when clothing touches it. I am at a loss.
