Hi, my dermatologist has prescribed me a antihistamine for my itching and wants me to use it for 4-6 weeks. The med is called hydroxzine. I am concerned because i never heard of anyone using antihistamine for that long. Will this severly affect my liver? Please help!
Hello I am a young female, I usually have normal to oily skin, but just yesterday I woke up and noticed bumps all along my forehead, very small like goosebumps almost. Yet, noticeable. I have larger bumps on my neck but not near big enough to be hives. They're very itchy and are hard to notice unless touched. Please help! Currently I'm using antihistamine and aloe Vera gel to relive it.
You may have "physical" or Cholinergic urticaria". Any rash (hives) appear together with itching? Next time when itching start take an antihistamine pill (like Benadryl). If this will help you, it means you have physical urticaria (allergy to heat in your case).
about a week and a half ago my butt started to itch, mainly at night and has sense got worse. what started as just a nightly butt itch has spread to my penis (mainly near head) and inner thighs. after scratching my butt a while there becomes almost a patch of bumps it feels like but im not eactly sure of color or anything because i cant see it. and on my penis there is a red bump thats raised off the skin right under head.
Benadryl (diphenhydramine) is an antihistamine and is used to treat sneezing, runny nose, itching and other allergies. So, as mentioned above it dries out the secretions and hence is not recommended in lung disorders.

I was recently diagnosed with IBS after a long list of tests for various other possible problems. I'm still working out diet and things to ease my symptoms, but I have one off the wall symptom that the doctor couldn't really explain. Generalized itching. I visited the doctor with a slightly raised rash on my side shortly after I started feeling itchy and was treated for scabies, and I went the extra step to be sure they couldn't live.
Every evening (after I return from office), I get severe itching on both my hands - i.e the plams and the back side of it including the fingers. The itching is very severe. In past,I remember having similar problem but at that time the itching was limited to just a couple of fingers. I did consult a dermatologist at that time and he said it was eczema. It was cured in a weeks time. Howver, now its all the fingures including front and rear of the palm.

You can apply an anti-itch cream or lotion to the affected area. Oral antihistamine, such as Benadryl can also be used. You should take a comfortably cool bath and wear smooth-textured cotton clothing.
Yikes, that sounds uncomfortable. Why do you believe it to be an ant bite? You have a bite bump and it's itching? Do your best not to itch and most things like that will get better to better, day to day. This should go away. You could always try an antihistamine like Benedryl which may stop itching too. Try a little ice pack on it? Not too comfortable but might distract from itching. You don't have an allergy, correct? This is just an itching problem?

Most of the time it happens in evening time on my upper part of body, like on back, stomach area, chest but more on my back close to neck area. It occurs for 5 to 10 min but very intensive. And after itching over their leaves red bums for a while. Its happens only for few minutes after then nothing. Due this problem i'm having an black sptted skin on my back close to neck area. I havent had heartburn, but the hives and iching all over but mainly on the back of my neck and head and ears. My face also swelled up bad. My lips were so swollen they hurt.
ve seen a dermatologist here in Thailand and he prescribed Telfast 180mg (antihistamine), Clobet milk 0.05% (clobetasol) and Prednisolone 5mg. When I only took the antihistamine and clobetasol the symptoms did not change much (not worse or better really). Then when I took Prednisolone the first time I felt immediately better but then a few days after finishing it the symptoms slowly started to return.
i was a fat boy weighing about 117kg and i started exercising and dieting and lost 35 kg in 4 months yes, i work hard to lose it but then after that i didn't lost any weight because It starts itching when i do hard work or exercises and when i relax it goes away no itching so if any docter is reading this nows what's the problem is and what is treatment for this then please tell me
and now i am experiencing the itch, my neck , my chest and my rib cage front and back, i cant stop itching! i had a massage and felt better for about 3 hours and im itching even more, i dont want to panic but i want to know if theres something wrong with my liver or if its stress related and im just freaking out. my lower back around my liver was very sore and i know the front neck muscles are also relayed to the liver! please if theres any info you can give me its much appreciated!!!!
