Avatar f tn I haven't heard of any of this anti-aging stuff with these two supplements. I use Alpha Lipoic Acid (ALA) to help with peripheral neuropathy. I noticed that it really does cut down on the amount of neuropathy I experience. When I did some online research for Acetyl L Carnitine and neuropathy, since it's also used. The difference is that it is recommended that people check with their doctors before using the Acetyl L Carnitine.
382218 tn?1341181487 Sun exposure is of course a contributing culprit due to the deep and lasting damage it does to the skin. Another common cause is aging, as these lesions typically start to show up in middle age due to slower cell turnover and slower recovery of damage such as that from the sun. The derm was surprised to see I'd developed a few of these bumps as I am hyper vigilant about sun protection.

Avatar n tn WOW! You sure are a great doggy parent in that your pup has lived to the ripe old age of 15. So far, all 3 of the dogs I've lost never quite made it to 14, so my hat's off to you. :-) With the previous hip injury, it's pretty obvious that the problem is arthritis that has finally reached the crippling point. Glucosamine can only do so much. Dogs are a whole lot more stoic about pain than humans are, and I can about bet you with 100% certainly that your dog IS hurting.
Avatar n tn My question is, will the continued pressure and suction cause undue damage to the breasts, or AGE the breast skin? Do you think this type of consistent swelling and stretching can actually cause an increase in breast tissue over time, or do you think that this will instead cause the breasts to age, sag develop stretchmarks, or sustain damage, etc? There is a forum full of women who swear by the enlarging effects of the Noogleberry, but I want to make sure I'm not just aging my breasts.
Avatar n tn I recommend you talk to your doc about a referral to a dermatologist... a skin specialist. It may be something simple like aging skin, and if not, the specialist is in the best position to give you a clear diagnosis & treatment plan. Nothing you've described sounds like it has a diabetes connection. The list of symptoms already posted are the most common ones. GOod luck & I hope you check back so we can all learn from your experience.
