Perioral dermatitis is a common facial skin problem in adult women. Groups of itchy or tender small red papules appear most often around the mouth and often the skin around the nose is also affected.
This condition sometimes recurs when the antibiotics are discontinued, or at a later date. However, the same treatment can be used again. It is important to discontinue all face creams including topical steroids, cosmetics and sunscreens at this time.
His skin is very rough and red and the patch goes right up to his lower eye lid, and covers ½ of his right cheek, which makes it very hard to get the anti-fungal cream applied well. I’m worried that the delay in treatment will result in permanent skin damage. Is there anything else I should be doing? Should I request a referral to a dermatologist?

I recently developed a rash around my lips and mouth 2 days ago that is now spreading upward around my eye. The rash consists of small raised bumps that are slightly red and very itchy. The rash looks similar to pictures of contact dermatitis. The roof of my mouth feels itchy as well. I also developed upper respiratory tract infection with a slight runny nose, cough, and sore throat.
I have used 2 types of face creams I think have made it worse - both were over the counter daily anti-aging moisturizers - but thats not the only time it seems to get worse. Does anybody know what this is from and what I can do about it??? It makes it look like I have a mustache but its nothing I can wax off! I have seen Ambi, a OTC skin lightener, but I am scared to home bleach my skin.
The acne is almost completely gone. The cider changes the ph of your skin. If your skin get too raw or dry from the vinegar, skip a night. I also heard that honey can help as it has antibacterial and moisterizing properties. At some point throughout the day I apply some cortisone cream 1% to my chin which seems to help with the redness. And tried to apply creams to help calm the skin. But anything she puts on made my skin burn. Finally, she put a thick layer of after sun gel on my face and sent me home. I went to a pharmacy and was planning on buying cortizone cream to put on my face. But the pharmacist recommended Benedryl instead. He suggested that I do not put anything on my face. So I drank a lot of water and took two Benedryl that night. Next morning, the swelling had gone down.
hi there, I've been diagnosed with vit d deficiency recently and just started taking the capsules yesterday. But the past two months I've noted extreme facial weight loss but no weight loss to the rest of my body. I'm 32 and it seems bizarre that this change has happened so rapidly if it were due to aging?! I suddenly have very sunken eyes and lines where I didn't before. Also my skin has broken out in to terrible acne which has coincided with the facial loss.

20 capsules, taken 4 times a day, and requested I revisit on Tuesday for a followup. I asked about cream, but she (the dr) told me that there was no cream available, apart from a steroidal, which was not advisable.

Apparently, this is common in this part of Thailand, most people get it when young.

If that doesn't help then go out and get some eye cream. I like Estée Lauder's skin care the best and they have some amazing eye creams.

I am. I live in the southwest of Tx, so there is constant humidity. As an adult i still battle with minor acne but with this fourth child im constantly blotting with blotting sheet and when that doesnt work, tissues!!! Usually by my mid second trimester my skin goes back to normal, good luck mama!
I used some anti fungal cream because I seemed to have contracted athletes feet from working and using the same shoes. I work at an old peoples home and use the anti fungal cream from there it's 2% miconazole nitrate cream I only used it one time it's by dermaRite. I called the advice nurse and she said to stop using untell I talk to my doctor.
Do you have any topical steroid cream? If not, otc cortisone cream [the anti itch stuff). My wife mixes the steroid cream 50/50 with one of the good moisturizers like Aveno for sensitive skin and refrigerates it before use. By the time she is done with me I may feel like a greased monkey (scalp and facial itch is the worse for me), but there is huge temporary relief. Might work for you.
Apply cool tea bags, an ice cube wrapped in soft cloth, or cucumber slices to your eyes daily. Apply an eye cream containing vitamin K and almond oil or skin creams containing vit C or K,alpha hydroxyl acids and kinetin.
If the symptoms persist then please get a second opinion from another dermatologist before going in for any filler injections.
Some days when I look at my face in the mirror I feel like a 50 year old. The texture of my facial skin looks horrible, my skin is very dry and my facial pores are pretty big. I also have puffiness and black circles under my eyes.
My weight is normal, I eat healthy, exercise a lot and take a multivitamin and Complex B. I don't drink, don't smoke, don't tan, don't wear makeup, don't do drugs and don't go out in the sun.
