In particular, a restricted T cell–mediated lymphocytic response occurs against the HBV-infected hepatocytes.
Avatar f tn You see, I had anorexia nervosa when I was eleven and I currently have an underactive thyroid... which causes heart failure, funnily enough. I've just been scaring myself all weekend. I've been feeling weak, fluttery and unwell since Friday... short of breath... heart palps... I'm a vegan, and my Dad thinks I'm ruining my health and I thought, maybe he was right. So I ate 2 boiled eggs today, and a cod liver oil tablet. Also trying to eat at least 2000 calories today... I usually eat less.
Avatar m tn I’m making this thread for my niece Mallory that was born with PKD Polycystic Kidney Disease with fibrotic liver (recessive). At the time of her birth, her condition was considered not to be text book. This may get a little wordy, so please bear with me. I’m aware there are threads that already exist about PKD. But due to the rarity of her condition and her present age of 23 years, I thought it was justified.

Avatar f tn Put me on MMI 10mg per day and I decided not to take it because I feel that I will end up not being able to urinate like when I was on Tapazole. I asked for PTU but she said that it causes liver problems. I asked her again what was my condition and this time she said I had Graves Disease. She previously said I had a multi-nodular goiter …so I decided to get a second opinion. September I went to my regular primary physician for another referral.

Avatar f tn One big thing left out is how many people don't die because they've had a liver transplant.Or people with cirrhosis who die of other causes, be they health related or not. If a person with dies from liver cancer do they attribute that to their having hep C ? The other thing not covered is the recent discovery of how many diseases people are more prone to because of having hep C. If they have lymphoma because of having hep C, what do they claim was the cause of death ?

Avatar n tn Some investigators have noted that nystagmus frequently occurs when plasma concentrations are greater than 4 ug/mL and that ataxia, dizziness, and anorexia often occur when plasma concentrations are 10 ug/mL or greater. There appears to be a wide variation in steady-state plasma concentrations produced by specific daily dosages of carbamazepine (e.g., daily dosages of 800 mg, 1.2 g, or 1.6 g may produce plasma concentrations of 2-10 ug/mL).
