Angiography for heart

Common Questions and Answers about Angiography for heart

angiogram

Avatar n tn Thank u for ur suggestion. My coronary angiography alongwith angioplasty and stenting to circumflex branch of left coronary was done on 23 july. What are the precautions now?
Avatar f tn I'm assuming your grandmother has had some type of cardiac stress test to yield the result of a blocked artery. I am not a physician, however a cardiac patient. The only true way to get a look at the coronary arteries is with cardiac catheterization. If she's not responding medically to treatment, angiography can map out the heart and the blockages thus giving a guide to treatment. Cardiac catheterization does have risk, however it is minimized with a good team.
Avatar f tn I have already place the question yesterday the patient ismy father M67 result of angiography is 100%blockege in Mid LAD distle LAD retrograde filling through collaterals the blockege is between 2nd septal and 2nd Diag, Br.
Avatar n tn My mother who is 56 years old, got to know 15 years back that she has ASD, hole in her heart for which doctors referred her to Open heart surgery, which she never agreed due to her own fears. But she was moving fine, until 2 weeks back she had Angina attack and we got her Angiography done yesterday which revealed that her one of the artery is blocked over 90% near the beginning. Docs recommend her to go for Stent implant. Now seeing her past history of ASD,and low platelets count.
Avatar n tn An angiography will give the doctor a better look into what is going on inside of your heart and arteries. It is a tool used to diagnose, and give the doctor a picture of what needs to happen for your treatment. I hope this helps.
Avatar n tn So, the next course of action is cardiac catheterization, this helps to study the arterial structure of the heart and to identify the blocks for further therapy. So, your doctor has asked for cardiac catheterization. Please follow up with him. Regards.
Avatar n tn Whichever one the doctor says is more in need. Why? Because age should not matter. Age does not make one person more or less valuable.
Avatar m tn Thank you very much for the suggession for CAT Scan instead of angiography. I shall discuss with my Doctor too . It is his suggession only and could be done whenever I want to do. So will also consult other Doctors too. My sister is not a Heart Patient but as she felt some breathlessness, she went for Angiography. All her reports of Heart, Kidney, Lever are NORMAL.She is a Diabetic patient . But she is suffering from soars on her legs and pains when she walks.
Avatar m tn Troponin T and Troponin I are accurate and are only released by cardiac muscle. If elevated, then they usually suggest angiography because there is a very high possibility that MI has occurred. Troponin also remains elevated for up to 14 days. Should you go for Angiography? Given the results of the test, I think the question is really "is it worth the risk not to have angiography".
Avatar n tn org/concept Their advertisements ask patients experiencing chest, heaviness in chest or breathlessness to come their Ayurveda clinic instead of going for angiography or other treatment in a hospital. They say they can reverse heart disease in six days using exercise, massage and steam baths. Is it safe to try this treatment? It spooks me since their disclaimer says 1 in 2500 patients will experience heart attacks as a side effect.
1926971 tn?1682474897 Took 4th Opinion who told me the same thing but advised me to get enrolled for EECP Therapy and Heart well being program(50% LCA, 60-70% LCA, Less than 50% LCA BLOCK as per 4 cardiologists except first one). The cardiologist advised me that Grafting surgery is very problematic and overly expensive . EECP was required with Life style changes.
Avatar n tn Her genral codition is now stable and doctor has now advice for angiography, kindly suggest whether we should go for angiography and depending upon result of it we should go for further process ( such as angioplasty and ByPass ) as my grand mother age is 78. Please suggest.

Avatar f tn Hi I am a 50 year old female who has already had left cartid endarterectomy in 2010 and have just recently had a stent for left circumflex coronary artery approximately 90% in severity. Upon reading my results I came across some information I don't understand in the reading it said mild diffuse disease in LAD but high grade stenosis. I understand that it means blockage of some degree but does this mean I have future issues to worry about?
Avatar f tn im scared that when we go in for the heart cath. they are going to tell us he needs open heart surgury again. the recovery process was really hard for him.
Avatar m tn No ENT problem. Echo, CT angiography for heart is normal. I am taking Ecosprin AV 75 mg for mild ectesia reported in CT angiography (heart) report. Mainly I face the problem of feeling of imbalance and left leg involuntary movement. I don't have any type of stress or tension. No family problem, No financial problem, nothing at all. From last 2 days Doctor stopped ZAPTRA 25 and now prescribed plain Clonazepam 0.25mg at night and Franxit in the morning. (Once in a day only).
Avatar n tn What I am really trying to find answers to is, while I am in a restful state, I get very strong palpitations, I then feel like the blood has rushed out of my body, and I feel cold and weak, and afterwards my heart feels sore, and I feel very unwell for a long period of time. I also get these strong palpitations after strenuous work, such as digging in the garden. So whether I am resting or exerting myself I get the palpitations.
Avatar m tn thanks for your reply. The doctors have prescribed some tablets for the disease and they said that the disease can be cured by tablets itself. is that so.. is it is necessary to a surgery. could you please clarify this.....
