Also, what else could 3.7 billion dollars do for our country ? How many jobs could have been created with a portion of that money? I'm saddened and disgusted by the way our government is run. http://www.washingtonpost.

I’ve voted for her in the past (when she really cared about Louisiana) but she is nothing but a politician now. Her almost 100% support for Obama has cost her the seat she held for 18 years, When she needed them, they turned their back on her. Avatar m tn Hi Im not a doctor but will tell you what I know. Bilateral is where both Atrium are enlarged. The ECG would only be a starting point in investigating whats causing it. How is your general Health? Do you smoke? How are you BP numbers? the BP numbers are important to know especially in this instance. Do you take any medications ? Do you exercise much? Your info supplied was very limited. Have you had an Echo or an Angiogram yet? Obviously you need to consult a Cardiologist.
Avatar f tn Recommend further evaluation with CT angiogram for improved spatial resolution and clarification
Avatar m tn This doc did an OCT and florescine angiogram on me. She siad the OCT looked really good. with the Angiogram, she pointed to this weird looking vein that looked like it was coming off a larger vein and said this must be what the light gray area is. She left it at that and didnt elaborate. I wish i didnt tell her what the first doc said about giving it some time bec it is too soon after my surgery. She said it could or could not go away. she also said that if it did...
Avatar m tn ve finally found a problem as a result of paying for a CT Coronary Angiogram. All I know right now is that I have a narrowing of the left main artery but I don't know the extent or the cause. I am now waiting to have a standard angiogram but I am supposed to be flying to the US from the UK in 3 weeks. Has anyone flown soon after an angiogram? How about after a stent? Appreciate your thoughts.
Avatar f tn WHAT does it all mean? My Cardiologist is a real Quack, I think. He 's suggesting I'm merely suffering from Heartburn! and won't listen to/answer my questions... just smiles and pretty much shuts me up and leaves. Due to being sick for over a year (nausea, breathlessness, chest pain, fatigue, congestion whenever lying down, etc) my new PC doctor did a treadmill stress test...
Avatar f tn “The new model simulations indicate that southwestern North America will become progressively more arid as the century advances with important changes appearing in the immediate future,” write the study’s authors. “Despite the fact that precipitation might increase in some regions and seasons (e.g. winter in northern California) while decrease in others, rising temperatures mean that a large majority of the model simulations project that spring and annual mean runoff will decrease.
Avatar n tn Bypass surgery does not fix blockages in the way stenting does, it simply bypasses them with new grafts. Some blockages are not bypassed, for instance if they are not severe, or if the artery is small and does not supply a large area of the heart, or if the artery has no good runoff and is small distally. I am not sure why it was not done in your case, since I am not aware of all the details in your case.
Avatar n tn However, LIMA graft failure can occur due to injury during harvesting of the graft, technical problems with the anastomosis (connecting location), poor distal runoff in the grafted native vessel, extreme mechanical “kinking” of the graft, or undetected subclavian artery stenosis (narrowing).
Avatar m tn Published results show an Angiogram with 7mSv if it is only diagnostic and a CT-A at 16.0mSv. Therefore, the X-Ray load is more than twice as high for the CT-A.
Avatar n tn about 6 years ago i was diagnosed with pad. they put 4 stents in illiac arteries 2 on each side which helped some with the walking leg pain. I lost my insurance a few years ago and over the last year or 2 my leg pain as increased to the point it not only hurts when i walk or stand for a few minutes but now have pain when sitting for a short period.
Avatar m tn I am a 70 year old male. 17 years ago had angiogram/plasty which went badly resulting in emergency bypass . 8 years ago had heart attack, treated with 3 days on heparin. 4 years ago had partial colectomy and 6 months chemo. Have peripheral neuropathy in legs and hands from FOLFOX. For the last 6 months I have been very fatigued after little exercise. Mostly sedentary and 30 lbs overweight. Blood pressure good but slow pulse and can't take beta blockers.
Avatar n tn An angiogram can be performed with a cath (intervention with a probe through the leg vessel to the heart), or ct scan (best is a 128 slice) that views the blood flow (dye has been injected) through the coronary arteries. There isn't a high risk with a cath, and it is not painful, but have an understanding with the doctor whether or not your father wants a stent implant if there is some blockage, and whether the stent(s) are drug coated or not (obtain an opinon what the doctor prefers).
Avatar f tn I have just been scheduled for an angiogram and I'm scared to no end I have a 3 year old son I love to death same as my soon to be wife. I'm so scared something will go wrong during the surgery how coming are complications? Also my ej is 73 is this bad?
Avatar f tn After 3 weeks without pain ,Ihad again pain for 2-3 hours, and again 3 weeks normal, and 2-3 days with episodic pain.MRI of brain and neck (with contrast)is normal.Yesterday night I had for 1 minut left tongue pain(not right).Could it be bilateral Glossopharingeal neuralgia? What must I check?
Avatar m tn If anything is found, all paths will send you back to the angiogram. Even if nothing is found during the angiogram, you will know with absolute certainty that there is nothing wrong. All cardiologists have told be they have had cases where the ct has missed something and this will haunt you for years, especially if you develop symptoms. Doctors will argue there is no blockage, you will believe there is one and a huge battle starts in your mind.
Avatar m tn Has anyone had an angiogram with the catheter inserted in arm or neck instead of the groin? I don't think I could take the groin without serious nerve spasms.
Avatar m tn i KNOW IT SOUNDS LIKE ANGINA, BUT HAD A ANGIO A YEAR AGO AND WAS OK REGARDING BLOCKAGES VALVES ETC. AT THE TIME MY EF WAS BAD 15%, BUT WITH THE BP UNDER CONTROL IT CAME BACK TO 40%. FOR SOME MONTHS AFTER THIS MY EXERCISE WALKING TOLERANCE WAS OK. NOW I HAVE THE SYMPTOMS ABOVE AFTER WALKING HALF A KM . the cardio wants to do another angio? what is it? ANY IDEAS/ HELP?
Avatar f tn You better check with your doctors, I am not sure about the potential damage due to the radiation dose that you will take during the procedure. Also if they discover blockages in your coronaries, I do not know about the risk of the medication that you will need.
