They admitted me and did an echocariogram and later, an angiogram, which showed no problems with any of the vessels. The cardiologist did say that my heart went into a spasm during the test. Needless to say, they released me this morning and prescribed lopressor, norvasc, protonix, and simvastatin and 325 mg of ecotrin a day. I need to go back to the cardiologist in two weeks, but I'm kind of clueless as to what happened with me. I'm 48 and I'm an ex-smoker.

I have just been scheduled for an angiogram and I'm scared to no end I have a 3 year old son I love to death same as my soon to be wife. I'm so scared something will go wrong during the surgery how coming are complications? Also my ej is 73 is this bad?
You better check with your doctors, I am not sure about the potential damage due to the radiation dose that you will take during the procedure.
Also if they discover blockages in your coronaries, I do not know about the risk of the medication that you will need.

My partner is having an angiogram after suffering chest pains a few weeks ago. NAD was found at the time from blood tests and ECG (done over 18 hours). Was kept in overnight. Had no discomfort since, but suffers from type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure and cholesterol which are all controlled and low due to medication.
His chest pains were 4 weeks ago and he's had nothing since.

Has anyone had an angiogram with the catheter inserted in arm or neck instead of the groin? I don't think I could take the groin without serious nerve spasms.

how do i intepret an angiogram result? to know which is left or right? how to know if there is a block?
