1534233 tn?1523388856 recently I went to the doctor (again!) because I had some shoulder pain and the feeling like a lump in my throat which started after chasing around the living room trying to catch a mouse the cat brought in and then chasing around the garden to catch the cat! This took a day to go away, I had an ECG which was normal but I then saw my doc and he said he would book blood tests and do an exercise ECG 'to be sure'.
1235217 tn?1267916228 I had a Cardiac catheterization 15 days ago. Groin lump about the size of my thumb not that sore should this be a concern or id it to be expected at this point.
Avatar f tn my dad had an angiogram last tuesday. He developed a lump about 2 days ago (one week after the procedure), with a little bit of pain. This morning, he was doing some household cleaning and began bleeding from the incision, about 10 drops all together. After the bleeding stopped he noticed that the lump grew to the diameter of a quarter, but does not rise above the skin very much. He said the pain was very minor and now he is feeling no pain at all.
Avatar n tn On Monday I felt a tender lump close to the site where the sheath was inserted during angiogram a week previously. . It is now Thursday and I think it is a little less tender. Should I be concerned?
Avatar f tn I had an angiogram 5 days ago, the first two days I couldn't move my leg too much, the 3rd day I was much better, 4th and 5th day (today) I have quite a bit of pain in the groin area, all around the site of the angiogram, quite a bit of bruising which I was expecting, but I don't know if this is normal or if I should go see a Dr.? The pain is not there all the time only with movement, ie. walking or standing even, if I just lay down it is not painful.
Avatar n tn All went well and looks like everything is healing fine. I had a bruise near the groin area that went away and the tiny little lump i had right under where they poked is going away. However, the artery next to the poked area is still a little swolen. It has not gotten bigger, but seems like it is taking to long. Shouldn't the artery swell go down by now? I am not in pain and going to work and even taking walks. I haven't been lifting or doing strenous exercise for the last 4 weeks.
Avatar m tn What is the evidence it is gone? Has he done an OCT or a flourescein angiogram? Dr. O.
Avatar f tn I have just been scheduled for an angiogram and I'm scared to no end I have a 3 year old son I love to death same as my soon to be wife. I'm so scared something will go wrong during the surgery how coming are complications? Also my ej is 73 is this bad?
Avatar f tn You better check with your doctors, I am not sure about the potential damage due to the radiation dose that you will take during the procedure. Also if they discover blockages in your coronaries, I do not know about the risk of the medication that you will need.
Avatar n tn After a cardigraph treadmill test I'm being referred for angiogram - I'm going on holiday in two weeks with a 3 hour flight. Should I travel?
329165 tn?1515471990 I had an Angiogram done in 01/2007. i have familial-cholestorol (latest lipo showed total of 6,9 fasting) During the Angio they only found coronary artery spasms. no blockages found. the past 4 weeks or so I have been experiencing chest tightness and some burning pains in chest - at rest. lasting under 1 minute and dissolves by itself. I have not been taking any Cholestorol meds (medical aid depleted) for the past 7months.
Avatar f tn My partner is having an angiogram after suffering chest pains a few weeks ago. NAD was found at the time from blood tests and ECG (done over 18 hours). Was kept in overnight. Had no discomfort since, but suffers from type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure and cholesterol which are all controlled and low due to medication. His chest pains were 4 weeks ago and he's had nothing since.
Avatar n tn my mother is suffering from chest pain now Doctor is saying to go for angiogram test?
Avatar m tn Has anyone had an angiogram with the catheter inserted in arm or neck instead of the groin? I don't think I could take the groin without serious nerve spasms.
Avatar n tn hey my dad is suppose to go in for an angiogram but he fears what might happen to him if he does. i was wondering if there was possible any alternative procedure or something else he could possibly do.
Avatar n tn how do i intepret an angiogram result? to know which is left or right? how to know if there is a block?
974371 tn?1424653129 t say we have the best doctors where I live. Anyway, I am afraid an angiogram will be ordered and I really do NOT want one of those done. No way could I get through that and understand they keep you awake? Wondering if there is an alternative and if anyone has had the angiogram done and what your experiences were.
Avatar n tn A CT angiogram is more sensitive than a straight forward angiogram. They both rely on a radioactive substance being injected into your blood stream and it's this which the scanners pick up. If a CT angiogram doesn't reveal a vessel, then no way will an angiogram. I had a vein that was closed after a bypass procedure and they looked for 30 minutes in a standard angiogram procedure to try and find it.
Avatar m tn I think another angiogram is your best option personally. It will show how clear your vessels are but ask them to do a FFR on your coronary arteries. This is a tiny sensor which gives the cardiologist the blood flow rate. Without this test, they are simply going by visual signs which is an inaccurate method. I would like to know what your BP was to lower your EF to 15%?
Avatar m tn The tests indicated a blockage. I am now waiting for an angiogram. They put me on drugs after the test. I am on 1.25mg Monocor, 5mg Norvasc, 10mg Crestor as well as ASA 81mg - one per day. Now I wait for Angiogram. I am quite freaked out. So I am scheduled for an angiogram on Feb 5th. They tell me there are risks in this test. The risk is 1 in 1000 people die, stroke or have a heart attack during this proceedure. My question is this, Should I get a 64-slice Coronary CT Angiography?
Avatar n tn Doctor said that there could be a problem with heart walves so, he suggested to do Angiogram. Are there alternatives to do Angiogram? Is it really required to do Angiogram? Please advise. Thanks, Padma.
Avatar m tn CT scan 64-slice angiogram as well as a cath angiogram is by definition an angiogram as both involve a dye injection, but there is more intense radiation exposure with CT angiogram. It is fast becoming the radiological test of choice to look at disease of blood vessels. The next generation of a ct scan will reduce the individual's radiation exposure. The ct angiogram involves an assessment of the body of the vessels as well as the lumen.
Avatar f tn for some reason that same hand is tender over the top of my hand, where they put in the Angiogram camera tubing. I have had a groin Angiogram about 7 years ago. Even though I had this wrist discomfort, I would seriously ONLY ever recommend the wrist Angiogram, should you be reading my experience here.
Avatar n tn Why would a cardiologist do an angiogram and give a report of a 30% blockage and two weeks later do a cardiac cath and give a report of 89% blockage in the LAD? Why would an angiogram not show this?
