angiogram

Avatar f tn for some reason that same hand is tender over the top of my hand, where they put in the Angiogram camera tubing. I have had a groin Angiogram about 7 years ago. Even though I had this wrist discomfort, I would seriously ONLY ever recommend the wrist Angiogram, should you be reading my experience here.
Avatar n tn hello, my mom is 72 years old, she is type2 diabetic, hyper tensive and have ischemic heart disease, she has been adviced to go through angiogram and shunting after that. how safte it is for her, with her health background? will she survive after that, is it a dangerous procedure?
Avatar n tn I have to have a valve replaced and am having an angiogram to see if there is blockage to be treated at the same time. The physician doing the angiogram has indicated he will put in a stent if he finds blockage. My feeling is that this is unnecessary as the major advantage of angioplasty (less invasive than bypass) is totally irrelevant since I'm having a valve replaced anyway. Thoughts?
Avatar m tn Time Out and time for reflection I was going to save for weekend but as with TX you just never know what’s going to pop up. Avatar m tn The major part of the healing in most cases takes place in the first 6-8 weeks and almost near healing by 3-6 months. Beyond this time healing is very slow, though it may still continue. One may also like to know that healing is never perfect and can be delayed by a number of external factors like infections, mal-nutrition, smoking etc. Hope this information helps. Take care!
Avatar n tn How long do these things usually take to heal? Is there anything I can do to speed up the healing process? Is there anything that i should avoid, because it can slow down the healing process, or make it worse? Thank you!
Avatar f tn I was wondering how long would a normal time be for healing from a wound? My dog seems to have a very slow healing time. She has hurt her paw before, which took forever to heal. And now the scab above her eye still isn't all the way healed. Is there something I can do to help her? It doesn't seem to bother her, but I want it to heal faster, so there won't be much room for infection or anything else to happen.
Avatar m tn Any lesions greater than 70% can be problematic, and your in law has extensive coronary valve disease. Was the artery evaluation made with a cath or was the angiogram CTscan or MUGA. It seems if the angiograph with a cath there would have been stent implants in the areas of major occlusions? Thanks for sharing, and if you have any followup questions you are welcome to respond.
Avatar f tn My partner is having an angiogram after suffering chest pains a few weeks ago. NAD was found at the time from blood tests and ECG (done over 18 hours). Was kept in overnight. Had no discomfort since, but suffers from type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure and cholesterol which are all controlled and low due to medication. His chest pains were 4 weeks ago and he's had nothing since.
974371 tn?1424653129 Ok, I haven't even seen a cardiologist yet. Actually, I've had chronic mouth and throat problems no doctor is able to diagnose. In the mean time, I've been complaining of a *hard* heart beat for a while. My doc, as usual, attributes it to nerves. I mentioned it yet again so he finally sent me for a halter monitor and an ECHO treadmill stress test. I knew I didn't do to well on the stress test.
Avatar m tn i KNOW IT SOUNDS LIKE ANGINA, BUT HAD A ANGIO A YEAR AGO AND WAS OK REGARDING BLOCKAGES VALVES ETC. AT THE TIME MY EF WAS BAD 15%, BUT WITH THE BP UNDER CONTROL IT CAME BACK TO 40%. FOR SOME MONTHS AFTER THIS MY EXERCISE WALKING TOLERANCE WAS OK. NOW I HAVE THE SYMPTOMS ABOVE AFTER WALKING HALF A KM . the cardio wants to do another angio? what is it? ANY IDEAS/ HELP?
Avatar n tn If there are blockages, a stent implant (usually done at time of angiogram) will increase the diameter of the occlusion/occlusions permitting more blood to the deficit area. Sometimes the area of blockage can not be stented because of location, tortuous segment, too long, etc...then a bypass surgical operation may be the only remedy. Alternatively, some people find relief from chest pain with medication.
Avatar f tn I have just been scheduled for an angiogram and I'm scared to no end I have a 3 year old son I love to death same as my soon to be wife. I'm so scared something will go wrong during the surgery how coming are complications? Also my ej is 73 is this bad?
Avatar m tn However, I would also have a clear discussion with the cardiologist beforehand as to what will or will not also be done at that time. My angiogram led the cardiologist to say I need coronary bypass surgery, but neither surgery nor stents actually treat any cause of coronary artery disease. So before having stents to simply reduce angina, learn the things no cardiologist will tell you and consider an oil-free plant-based diet.
Avatar m tn Has anyone had an angiogram with the catheter inserted in arm or neck instead of the groin? I don't think I could take the groin without serious nerve spasms.
Avatar m tn I would insist on another angiogram to be sure. This time, ask them to check the artery using FFR, a small sensor on the catheter which tells the cardiologist the flow rate. Sometimes problems are too small for the naked eye to see.
