The second week I bought over the counter amoxicillin 500mg twice daily for 10 days standard medication for Strep throat . However, I went to a French doctor when I did still have the sore throat and he prescribed amoxicillin in powder form (despite me telling him about the biaxin xl I had previously been prescribed, which he wasn't familiar with because that is the commercial name), but also pointed out that i had a brown tongue due to a fungus and prescribed to me triflucan, an antifungal also in powder form. he attributed the brown tongue coating to the antibiotics that i had previously been taking.
He put me on antibiotics, I cant remember all of there names but one was amoxicillin, then a red and grey capsule and a small little round yellow one. Also some injections intermuscularly. The secretions were gone. But the back of my tongue has the white looking and when I go to bed and get up in the morning the rest of my tongue gets it except for the tip and underneath and my mouth feels dry. I use a tongue scrubber to help. However the rest of my oral cavity is fine, no whitening or not.
I would guess so. Hopefully you are better now. Sinus infections are actually more rare than people think and severe facial pain is a primary symptom.
Heavy rash on my thigh purplish and a lump one side several weeks. I had a yellow tongue minor not a lot. I also saw a sore on my scrotum which only lasted three days.
( August 20, 2010, Doctor gave me Clotrimazole and Betamethasone - August 20, 2010 to September21, 2010) He stated the bumps were normal papules.
September 6, 2010, had very itchy thigh lump on thigh. Purple Rash and upper back pain on the blades and spinal cord pulsing type pain. felt tired. Yellow Tongue. Mild Headache.
Over a month ago, I noticed my tongue in the morning was a orangish-yellow color, but would brush right off with a tooth brush. Now, my tongue is pale in the morning when I wake up, and every time after I eat I have a yellow coating on my tongue that will brush off right away with a tooth brush and tooth paste.
I noticed the furry yellow tongue a week ago, I've been brushing tongue and using listerine it helps for a few hours and then come back I have IBS also. TIve been using Benifiber for a 3 weeks now and wonder if this was the cause. I'm usually very regular and for a few weeks was not so I used Miralax I wonder if these things are causing the yellowing on our tongues?? Does anyone have any answers for us?
ve noticed white bumps on the side of my mouth near the back (one or two) that kind of come and go.. also my tongue has a thick yellow coating when i wake up and is thicker at the back and my taste buds seem swollen. i feel like im producing an above normal amount of saliva as well.. I used to smoke a lot of marijuana but quit about a month ago i still smoke the odd cigarette. I also had unprotected oral sex with a pretty questionable girl a few months ago..
I am deathly allergic to yellow food dye. My amoxicillin capsules are made out of yellow food dye. My pharmasit told me that I open the capsule and take just the powder. The problem is the strong taste of the powder makes me gag.what can I do ?

Nothing seems to help to get rid of the chronic coughing and geographic tongue for good. Fluconazole and umifenovir do work while I take it, but after the course I start coughing again and the geographic tongue comes back.

They have prescribe pain meds and amoxicillin EVERY VISIT. I take the amoxicillin and the symptoms come back 2 weeks later. But what I noticed on my last visit (July 10, 2018) they give me a shot of steroid (decadron) the swelling goes down almost INSTANTLY in the E.R. And by the time I’m discharged and get home the tonsil starts draining!! That horrible, metallic tasting , yellowing fluid comes from my tonsil and the swelling is gone!
i am having a coated tongue a few hours after an intake of amoxicillin 500mg and my tongue is still coated for more than 3 days now there is bleeding when i try to clean my tounge with a toothbrush

I have an infected tooth which has to be extracted in the next few days but as of now I was prescribed 250 mg of Amoxicillin and have to take it 3 times a day. Since Wednesday I have taken seven doses and for the last few hours I've been experiencing and odd feeling in my mouth/on my tongue. I guess I'd say there's a slightly warm and numb feeling on my tongue. I wouldnt say it feels like a film is on my tongue, but maybe dry mouth? It's hard to describe.

It formed a whitish crud which I brushed off and then rinsed with regular mouth wash. That evening I couldn't really see any orange (normally end of day my OT was whole tongue and very prominent!) so I decided to repeat the Tetracycline sprinkle after supper.
I have finished my two weeks h pylori antibiotic course last week two days latter I have noticed that I have developed mouth ulcers and a hairy like tongue. I was told by a friend that this is very normal after having along and strong antibiotic course? Can someone help me please?

I took a wet wash cloth and i whiped myself with it and the stuff on it was yellow. not a strong yellow more like a baby lite yellow. My husbane thinks it have to do with my Eggs or something. My husband and I had sex a few nights ago and I couldnt get wet. We try it again last time and I couldnt get wet again. Is it good to have sex when I know im going to be starting my period?.... My vagina is not swollen. but my nipples are very tender. I mean when I touch them they hurt.
I recently was on amoxicillin from the dentist for two weeks. Shortly after finishing the medication, I had a yeast infection. I did an OTC Monitat 1 treatment 9 days ago and all of the symptoms are gone but now I have a white sometimes yellow mucus like discharge mainly when I wipe. It has gotten less and less every day. What could it be?
Two weeks ago I was diagnosed with geographic tongue after taking amoxicillin and metronizadole for 2 weeks to treat h-pylori. Yesterday I noticed what seems to be a lump(swelling) on the right lateral side of the tongue, very deep inside(right where the portion of the tongue that you can move ends). The thing is composed of 3-4 little things(folliate papillae?). It is of the same colour as is the tongue on the lateral and you can easy move it around and even separate the 3-4 components.
The pain lessened but was still noticeable since beginning the antibiotic (amoxicillin). This morning I woke up with the pain mostly gone from the tooth; however, my jaw is now swollen with what feels like a hard lump and is sensitive to being touched.
I am traveling for work and was wondering if I should seek emergency help.
