My answer is that Amoxicillin should not be used for food poisoning. If you are experiencing vomiting and diarrhea, this is the body's natural response to getting rid of the poison. Make sure that you drink plenty of fluids, water and juices and soups, but avoid milk products until you are well again.
It is important to drink plenty of fluids so as not to get dehydrated by having the diarrhea and vomiting.
My Daughter took amoxicillin for 1 week for an ear infection. She woke up the day after her final dose with a Rash over her entire body. By day three they had turned into big swollen welts. It did not seem to itch or bother her but I took her to the doctor and they said it was just a side effect from the medication and should disapear in 4-5 days. Well it has now been a week and the spots are still there.
I gave my cat amoxicillin and she started drooling instantly. I was foamy and clear and lasted for about 2 minutes. Is this normal or is it an allergic reaction?
It does sound as if she is still having a reaction to the amoxicillin including the vomiting, it may be best and for peace of mind to speak to your pediatrician again, I am assuming that you discontinued the med.

the common symptoms of endocet are:Constipation; dizziness; drowsiness; flushing; light-headedness; nausea; vomiting so I'm pretty sure it is from that rather than the amoxicillin.

All the symptoms that your daughter is having are clearly a sign of doxycycline allergy.Doxycycline is not related to amoxicillin and sulfa drugs as it belongs to a different category of drugs(tetracyclines).Side effects of doxycycline are headache, dizziness, blurred vision, body aches, flu symptoms,skin rashes,chest tightness,respiratory difficulty,nausea,vomiting etc.
Past couple days I've been having what felt like menstrual cramps. Today I found that I had a tampon in from over a week ago. I forgot about it. Now I feel like I have a bladder infection. Hurts to pee, frequent urination, and there's blood in it. I took 2 amoxicillin 500 mg capsules. But I'm really in pain. Should I go to ER, or wait till morning and see how I feel?
Whenever they use this machine to clean my ear I get incredibly dizzy and sick to the point where I am vomiting and have to rest the whole day, because of this I chose not to get my ear cleaned again.
I recently had oral surgery and was prescribed amoxicillin for 2 weeks and this seemed to help a lot. Before I took the antibiotics I would have a lot of puss to clean up after waking and would need to clean my ear throughout the day as it drained more.
It is now Saturday, my daughter was diagnosed with strep throat Wednesday night and started amoxicillin in the urgent care, Friday afternoon she broke out in a itchy rash...mostly on her torso but some on her legs, neck, and arms. She has been on amoxicillin several times before from ear infections when she was little. The only difference with that is it is no longer pink (the amoxicillin).
The medications I've been prescribed have varied from amoxicillin to Prilosec and dicyclomine. I don't believe any of these have worked but what I have done is tried to eat healthier. Typically at night when I try to sleep my symptoms become worse, also after eating I no longer immediately lay down. My bowel habits have also changed but I still use the bathroom everyday without problems.
m left vomiting for 30 minutes and left weak after. Should I stop taking them ? Will it cause harm to the baby ? I don't know what to do , there awful !
Took my boxer to the vet an hour ago, and have been told he has been poisoned by something, but I cannot think what. The only thing that fits into the timescale is the amoxicillin he was taking up to a week ago. He is showing all the classic severe side effects, lethargy, vomiting, diarreah, pale gums, no bleeding anywhere though.
Could the antibiotics he was taking be the cause?
for the last 30-40 days,i have lost my apetite to a great extent.i also felt like vomiting(particularly at the time of eating).i donot have any abdominal pain or fever.i did a liver function test and CBC.all the test were normal.My family doctor said that it was an intestinal infection and gave me some antibiotics.but even after having all the medications,conditions have not improved.now,after i wake up,every morning i feel like vomiting.after having my lunch i feel a little better.
So yesterday I went to the Dr for an ear infection and the Dr said it was pretty bad. He prescribed me amoxicillin 500mg 3 times a day for 10 days. He said it was safe but I am scared. I have called and left a message for my drs assistant. Waiting for a call back. Have any of you had to take this in this dossage?

I'm taking amoxicillin and my cheeks are very red, like i'm sunburnt, and very hot. It's only on my cheeks no where else on my face or body. I've been givien this same medicine many times and have never had this reaction, The only other thing I can think about is I was given a corticosteroid shot and nasal spray called Fluticasone. It's not shown as a side effect of the nasal spray, but could it be from one of these other medicines. Should I call my pharmacist or doctor?
can you take amoxicillin if it exspired in january of 2009, i dont have insurance and had a few left over from my teeth and need to take them if i can. could someone please help me with this?
