I went to the doctor the other day because of post-nasal drip (followed by cold and sore throat on multiple ocassions), and she diagnosed me with sinus infection and put me on amoxicillin with clavulanic acid (875+125 dosage). However when the time came for me to take my pill, I realized I was unable to swallow it, even if I break it in half.
t take any med for that for a few days and once I took Amoxicillin capsule and it was gone the day after. My HIV PCR test was Negative after 30 days and also HIV Antibody test after 10 weeks. do you think it could be HIV ?
Having taken amoxicillin and deciding to go ahead with the test at 8 weeks, I now want to be sure that the amoxicillin won't affect my test at that time.
I am not trying to change threads, I am trying to get separate issues sorted for myself. I would appreciate a modicum of patience and tolerance for my worries. Much stupider questions have been asked and will be answered on this forum. For mine not to get any play on here is ridiculous.
So yesterday I went to the Dr for an ear infection and the Dr said it was pretty bad. He prescribed me amoxicillin 500mg 3 times a day for 10 days. He said it was safe but I am scared. I have called and left a message for my drs assistant. Waiting for a call back. Have any of you had to take this in this dossage?

I'm taking amoxicillin and my cheeks are very red, like i'm sunburnt, and very hot. It's only on my cheeks no where else on my face or body. I've been givien this same medicine many times and have never had this reaction, The only other thing I can think about is I was given a corticosteroid shot and nasal spray called Fluticasone. It's not shown as a side effect of the nasal spray, but could it be from one of these other medicines. Should I call my pharmacist or doctor?
can you take amoxicillin if it exspired in january of 2009, i dont have insurance and had a few left over from my teeth and need to take them if i can. could someone please help me with this?

I was told by a doctor I might have a chest infection so she put me on 500mg of amoxicillin three times a day. I'm also on diazepam for muscle spasms and anxiety. I cannot remember is she said it was ok go take them both together.
If ok to take together this will put my mind at rest and stop me panicing.

I had a bladder suspension 6 years ago and to my knowledge I had no problems up until now..
In the last 3 months I have had 2 severe bladder infections to the point where my blood pressure went super low.
this last one put me down for 3 days..sleeping body aches fever etc. I have never been a sickly person so I question if the suspension could be the problem.
But the itch is so bad.Maybe side effect of my medications? Prevacid,Biaxin,and Amoxicillin?
I have also been to a DOC one time at 12 week mark and all he did was look at my neg result and tell me I was fine and prescribe me amoxicillin and sent me on my way.... My reason for concern is that every symptom i described has been consistent since they began and i am goin on almost 11 months since the onset.... Three days later I had no appetite (lasted 10 days), a fever (lasted 4-5 days), sore throat (lasted about 7 days), diarrhea, and a sinus infection. I was put on amoxicillin for the sinus infection which helped, but never fully cleared it up.
About 3 weeks after the exposure- I had lost 12 pounds, I had bloodshot eyes, diarrhea, eye floaters, and the sinus infection had come back. Also a small rash on my arm (2-inch in diameter).
Amoxicillin + metronidazole may be more effective than amoxicillin alone. After extraction , amoxicillin, metronidazole, Tylenol, and Advil are effective post op pharmacological intervention, which yields minimal post op discomfort.
