I took some anti-inflammatory meds along and a pill of amoxicillin. The burning immediately went a way almost immediately(couple hours), Could this be an Std of some sort. I know it's not smart take meds without being evaluated first.

After taking the third dose, I then had the thought that the amoxicillin might alter the results of the upcoming STD test, so I stopped the amoxicillin. (My throat is not that bad anyway). My question is: would 1 dose of 500mg amoxicillin taken every 8 hours (3 doses total - 1500mg) be enough to clear a bacterial STD?? I ask this because I am getting tested within the next few days, not only to make sure than I am not infected, but to also make sure I did not then pass it on 10 days later.
you should be pursuing proper std testing to cover your bases. You know this partner had at least 1 std so cover all your bases with a full std screening since this was unprotected sex - chlamydia and gonorrhea and syphilis can be tested for now. You'll need to wait another month to cover your bases for herpes and hiv.

If you had gotten gonorrhea or NGU you would have most likely developed symptoms of urethritis (penile infection). Even if your partner had an STD (any STD and it is likely she did not), most exposures do not lead to infection.

Now, I want to re-test for all STD's . Can anyone please help me to let me know which tests will be effected as I am on antibiotics from 8 days and when should I get re-test if any STD effected by this medicine.
I want to test for CBC, HIV, HSV1,2, HEPATITIS A,B,C, SYPHILIS, CHLAMYDIA, GONNORHEA. Or any other std test if I should have ?

Hi, at the end of October I received oral and was masturbated by a guy and came, quickly. We didn't do anything else. I've had no symptoms in terms of anything on my penis or scrotum - sores, discharge, pain peeing - but recently have had swollen glands in my neck, and a bad chest. Even now i am under this treatment is the 6th day and everything seems to be alright just the urine has like a fish smell and is really yellow specialy in the morning . Now i am thinking if the condom broke...that is really visible i think never happend to me...but what i heard says that.

First off, you shouldn't even medicate yourself for you may not know whether or not you actually contracted a std. You don't know if you are treating for the right std too. There has to be a certain measure of medication and type of medicine in order to help you get better if you happen to have a std. Second, unprotected oral is low risk but certainly not a no risk situation. You may get gonorrhea, chlamydia, syphilis, herpes. HIV has not been known to be contracted through oral sex.
I have been having unprotected sex with a new partner. It started out protected then became unprotected after time went on. I went to the doctor and he prescribed me amoxicillin 250mg for 10 days. The amoxicillin seemed like it worked, but it only lessened the amount of pus on my tonsils, it didn't fully cure it. I now have tiny yellow streaks and pus pockets on my tonsils. He also did two rapid strep tests, which both came back negative, so he did a throat culture which I am still waiting to hear the results about. I am freaking out mostly because I hope that I don't have an STD!!!
