4 days after Amoxicillin, pain came back. Started same way, sore Left side throat, red swollen gum around the tooth, hard white bump, ? Fistula - maybe a piece of bone, painful. Made appt w/ Oral Surg, Rx'd more Amoxicillin, which eventually helped swelling go down. At appt., did x-ray, not catscan. He did not see anything wrong. But, on physical exam of the wisdom tooth, thought he found crack in tooth, below gumline.

3 days ago in the afternoon I noticed a slight sore throat on the right side. I didn't think much of it and took a nap. When I woke up, it was a bit worse. The next day, it was even a little worse. It has stayed about the same since then. It is only on the right side, it only hurts when I swallow and it often feels like there is something caught in my throat. I looked in the mirror and I see what looks almost like a "skin tag" on the right side of my upper throat, next to my uvula.

A week later, I developed an extreme sore throat, swollen tongue which has a numb sensation, fire red gums, red throat with blisters on the upper palate. This lasted 2 weeks and during this time, I was prescribed amoxicillin with the thought that I had a bacterial infection. The symptoms began to subside, I resumed the omerprazole and the swollen tongue, red gums came back with a vengeance. Does this sound like an allergic reaction?

I went to the med clinic and the Dr. said I had sinusitis and gave me amoxicillin which took away the sore throat and swollen gland in about 5-7 days. The really bad part is that I also had sex with my girlfriend two days after my encounter and exactly two weeks later she got sick with a sore throat and nausea. I'm 6 weeks pregnant. At 4 weeks I got strep and had to be on amoxicillin and tylenol. My sore throat got a little better but has came back with a vengeance. I really don't want to go to the doc and be put on more antibiotics since I'm still in the 1st trimester. Any safe home remedys to cure a sore throat?
I am extremelly concerned for my health..My first symptom was a sore on the side of my mouth...then led to vaginal sore in between rectum and vagina..i also have flesh like colored bumps on left side of tonsil the other tonsil is infected and thwre are bumps on the back of my tounge..also vaginal odor along with sometimes clear sometimes cloudy disscharge. Anyone get migraine/headaches along with dizziness early in pregnancy?? I usually get migraines around my period but never the dizziness. I've also had a sore throat the past couple days as long with it. This has been going on for 2 days now for me. Any ideas ladies??
I received I-131 on the morning of March 6th...by that night I had a sore throat. Not a regular sore thoat...felt like pin prickles...if that makes any sense. Developed a dry cough a few days after this and neck tenderness. Now today I've had a fever (100.5 - 101.5). Are any of these symptoms normal? Maybe it's just a coincidence and I'm getting a cold? I do get bronchitis alot but the cough that accompanies that is always a congested cough. This one is just dry.
I've had a sore throat for about 3 weeks now. I originally went to the doctor with overall feeling of malaise, headache, fever, slight sore throat and abdominal pain. I was tested for strep and mono. Strep came back positive (Strep C) and negative for mono. I was prescribed amoxicillin and was feeling much better on day 3 until I developed a horrible yeast infection. I was then prescribed the one dose of fluconazole and the yeast infection was cleared.
When I feel sick on 1st day, I had very high fever and followed by sore throat. I had fever entire time during first three days. Now I still have fever and sore throat, but two times in the day. It goes away for 8 hours after I take 2 tynenol, 1 mucin and 2 Echinacea and 1 amoxicillin. I get fever and dry cough back and I take the medicine again for another 8 hours relief. Hi and sorry you are ill. Do you still have the sore throat? Do you have a high fever? Usually, with a strep throat you don't have a cough or other symptoms. So this sounds like a virus rather than a strep throat. So, when you went it to the doctor what were your symptoms to start with? If you only had pus in the throat and a sore throat with a fever you had strep throat. Then if they did a strep test and it was positive the antibiotics didn't help the sore throat?
I had taken seven days of amoxicillin feeling the sickest i had ever felt but developed no rash so the doctor didn’t worry. After 7 days of being on amoxicillin my throat finally felt better and i did not feel sick anymore. I went to sleep that night and woke up at 5am itching and had developed a full body rash over night. I got tested and it turns out i had mono all along so now i am just waiting for this rash to go away even though i no longer have the sore throat or any other problems.
